In this tradition the mention of words a Magian is rejected; the mention of the words at a stone throw and a pig is rejected.Abu Dawud said: I did not hear this tradition except from Muhammad Bin Ismail Bin Samurrah and I think he was mistaken because he used to narrate to us from his memory. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25514Abdullah Ibn AlHarith reported on the authority of his father AlHarith: My father AlHarith was the governor of AlTaif under the caliph Uthman. He prepared food for Uthman which contained birds and the flesh of wild ass. He sent it to Ali may Allah be pleased with him. When the Messenger came to him he was beating leaves for camels and shaking them off with his hand. He said to him: Eat it. He replied: Give it to the people who are not in sacred state; we are wearing ihram. I adjure the people of Ashja who are present here. Do you know that a man presented a wild ass to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in ihram? But he refused to eat from it. They said: Yes.The Chapter on Animal Sacrifice Domestic Donkeys in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Meat Of Game For The Muhrim in Sunan Abu Dawoud

When he saw a wild ass he mounted his horse and asked them to hand him his whip; but they refused. He then asked them to hand him his lance. When they refused; he took it; chased the while ass and killed it. Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ ate it and some refused to eat. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26624Narrated Abu Huraira: A man of the tribe of Aslam came to the Prophet ﷺ and testified four times against himself that he had had illicit intercourse with a woman; while all the time the Prophet ﷺ was turning away from him. Then when he confessed a fifth time; he turned round and asked: Did you have intercourse with her? He replied: Yes. He asked: Have you done it so that your sexual organ penetrated hers? He replied: Yes. He asked: Have you done it like a collyrium stick when enclosed in its case and a rope in a well? He replied: Yes. He asked: Do you know what fornication is? He replied: Yes. I have done with her unlawfully what a man may lawfully do with his wife. He then asked: What do you want from what you have said? He said: I want you to purify me. So he gave orders regarding him and he was stoned to death. Then the Prophet ﷺ heard one of his companions saying to another: Look at this man whose fault was concealed by Allah but who would not leave the matter alone; so that he was stoned like a dog. He said nothing to them but walked on for a time till he came to the corpse of an ass with its legs in the air. He asked: Where are so and so? They said: Here we are; Messenger of Allah ﷺ ! He said: Go down and eat some of this ass corpse. They replied: Messenger of Allah! Who can eat any of this? He said: The dishonour you have just shown to your brother is more serious than eating some of it. When they got to one of the roads to Makka he fell behind with some companions of his who were muhrim; while he was not. Then he saw a wild ass; so he got on his mount and asked his companions to give him his whip but they refused. Then he asked them for his spear and they refused to give it to him. So he took hold of it and attacked the ass and killed it. Some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; ate from it; and others refused. MuwataMalik-017-001-35812Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya Ibn Said AlAnsari said that Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim Ibn AlHarith AlTaymi told him from Isa Ibn Talha Ibn Ubaydullah; fromUmayr Ibn Salama AlDamri; from AlBahzi; that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; set out once for Makka while in ihram. When they had reached AlRawha; they unexpectedly came upon a wounded wild ass. Someone mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and hesaid; Leave it. The man to whom it belongs is about to come. Then AlBahzi; who was the man; came to the Prophet; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and said; Messenger of Allah; do whatever you want with this ass; and the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; told Abu Bakr to divide it up among the company. Then they went on until they came to the well of AlUthaba; which was between AlRuwaytha and AlArj between Makka and Madina ; where they unexpectedly came upon a gazelle with an arrow in it; Iying on its side in some shade.
