SahihMuslim-017-001-18410 | It is narrated on the authority of Abu Said AlKhudri that when the delegation of the tribe of Abd AlQais came to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ ; its members said: Apostle of Allah; may God enable us to lay down our lives for you; which beverage is good for us? He the Prophet said: Not to speak of beverages; I would lay stress that you should not drink in the wine jars. They said: Apostle of Allah; may God enable us to lay down our lives for you; do you know what Alnaqir is? He the Holy Prophet replied: Yes; it is a stump which you hollow out in the middle; and added: Do not use gourd or receptacle for drink. Use water-skin the mouth of which is tied with a thong for this purpose. | The Chapter on Drink Vessels in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 6 in Sahih Muslim |

When the sun set; he said to Bilal: Bilal; come down and prepare barley beverage for us. He said: Messenger of Allah; would that you waited for the evening. He said: Come down and prepare barley beverage for us. He said: Messenger of Allah; the say still remains on you i.e. there remains the brightness of the day. He said: Come down and prepare barley drink for us. So he came down and prepared barley drink. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drank it and said: When you see that the night approaches from this side; he who fasts has reached the time to break it ; and he pointed to the east with his finger. | The Chapter on Food And Raisins in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Time For The Fasting Person To Break His Fast in Sunan Abu Dawoud |
