SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1086 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Masud: Allah Messenger ﷺ the true and truly inspired; narrated to us; The creation of everyone of you starts with the process of collecting the material for his body within forty days and forty nights in the womb of his mother. Then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period 40 days and then he becomes like a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then an angel is sent to him by Allah and the angel is allowed ordered to write four things; his livelihood; his date of death; his deeds; and whether he will be a wretched one or a blessed one in the Hereafter and then the soul is breathed into him. So one of you may do good deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise so much that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Paradise but then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing evil deeds characteristic of the people of Hell Fire and ultimately enters Hell Fire ; and one of you may do evil deeds characteristic of the people of Hell Fire so much so that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Hell Fire ; then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing good deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and ultimately enters Paradise. See Hadith No. 430; Vol. 4 | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Day Of Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on And verily Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves the Messengers in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3830 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Amr: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Whoever has the following four characteristics will be a pure hypocrite: If he speaks; he tells a lie; if he gives a promise; he breaks it; if he makes a covenant he proves treacherous; and if he quarrels; he behaves in a very imprudent evil insulting manner unjust. And whoever has one of these characteristics; has one characteristic of a hypocrite; unless he gives it us. | The Chapter on Truth And Hypocrisy And Hypocrites Character in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The sin of a person who makes a covenant and then proves treacherous in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4129 | Narrated Abdullah: Allah Messenger ﷺ ; the true and truly inspired said; as regards your creation ; every one of you is collected in the womb of his mother for the first forty days; and then he becomes a clot for another forty days; and then a piece of flesh for another forty days. Then Allah sends an angel to write four items: He writes his deeds; time of his death; means of his livelihood; and whether he will be wretched or blessed in religion. Then the soul is breathed into his body. So a man may do deeds characteristic of the people of the Hell Fire; so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it; and then what has been written by the angel surpasses; and so he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and enters Paradise. Similarly; a person may do deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise; so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it; and then what has been written by the angel surpasses; and he starts doing deeds of the people of the Hell Fire and enters the Hell Fire. | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Day Of Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The creation of Adam and his offspring in Sahih AlBukhari

Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his i.e. the new creatures deeds; his livelihood; his date of death; and whether he will be blessed or wretched in religion. Then the soul is breathed into him. So; a man amongst you may do good deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing evil deeds characteristic of the people of the Hell Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do evil deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the Hell Fire; and then what has been written for him decides his behavior; and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise. | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Day Of Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The reference to angels in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-7260 | Narrated Ali: While we were in a funeral procession in Baqi AlGharqad; Allah Messenger ﷺ came and sat down; and we sat around him. He had a small stick in his hand and he bent his head and started scraping the ground with it. He then said; There is none among you; and no created soul but has his place written for him either in Paradise or in the Hell-Fire; and also has his happy or miserable fate in the Hereafter written for him. A man said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Shall we depend upon what is written for us and give up doing good deeds? For whoever among us is destined to be fortunate in the Hereafter ; will join the fortunate peoples and whoever among us is destined to be miserable will do such deeds as are characteristic of the people who are destined to misery. The Prophet ﷺ said; Those who are destined to be happy in the Hereafter will find it easy and pleasant to do the deeds characteristic of those destined to happiness; while those who are to be among the miserable in the Hereafter ; will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of those destined to misery. Then he recited: As for him who gives in charity and keeps his duty to Allah and believes in the Best reward from Allah; We will make smooth for him the path of ease. But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self sufficient; and gives the lie to the Best reward from Allah we will make smooth for him the path for evil. 92.5-10 | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Destiny in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari

He said; Carry on doing good deeds; for everybody will find easy to do such deeds as will lead him to his destined place for which he has been created. So he who is destined to be among the happy in the Hereafter ; will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of such people; while he who is destined to be among the miserable ones; will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of such people. Then he recited: As for him who gives in charity and fears Allah; and believes in the best.... 92.5-10 | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Destiny in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari |

SahihMuslim-017-001-22104 | Ubaidullah Bin Abu Rafi; the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; said: When Haruria the Khawarij set out and as he was with Ali Bin Abu Talib Allah be pleased with him they said; There is no command but that of Allah. Upon this Ali said: The statement is true but it is intentionally applied to support a wrong cause. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ described their characteristics and I found these characteristics in them. They state the truth with their tongue; but it does not go beyond this part of their bodies and the narrator pointed towards his throat. The most hateful among the creation of Allah is one black man among them Khawarij. One of his hand is like the teat of a goat or the nipple of the breast. When Ali Bin Abu Talib Allah be pleased with him killed them; he said: Search for his dead body. They searched for him; but they did not find it his dead body. Upon this he said: Go and search for him. By Allah; neither I have spoken a lie nor has the lie been spoken to me. Ali said this twice and thrice. They then found him the dead body in a rain. They brought his dead body till they placed it before him Hadrat Ali. Ubaidullah said: And; I was present at that place when this happened and when Ali said about them. A person narrated to me from Ibn Hanain that he said: I saw that black man. | The Chapter on Funerals And Asking For Mercy in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 48 in Sahih Muslim |
