SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1293		Narrated Abu Humaid AlSaidi: The Prophet ﷺ employed Ibn AlUtbiya to collect Zakat from Bani Sulaim; and when he returned with the money to Allah Messenger ﷺ the Prophet ﷺ called him to account; and he said; This amount is for you; and this was given to me as a present. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Why dont you stay at your father house or your mother house to see whether you will be given gifts or not; if you are telling the truth? Then Allah Messenger ﷺ stood up and addressed the people; and after glorifying and praising Allah; he said: Amma Badu then after I employ some men from among you for some job which Allah has placed in my charge; and then one of you comes to me and says; This amount is for you and this is a gift given to me. Why doesnt he stay at the house of his father or the house of his mother and see whether he will be given gifts or not if he was telling the truth by Allah; none of you takes anything of it i.e.; Zakat for himself Hisham added: unlawfully but he will meet Allah on the Day of Resurrection carrying it on his neck! I do not want to see any of you carrying a grunting camel or a mooing cow or a bleating sheep on meeting Allah. Then the Prophet ﷺ raised both his hands till I saw the whiteness of his armpits; and said; No doubt ! Havent I conveyed Allah Message! SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1520		Narrated Abu Burda: Abu Mousa said; I came to the Prophet ﷺ along with two men from the tribe of Ashariyin; one on my right and the other on my left; while Allah Messenger ﷺ was brushing his teeth with a Siwak ; and both men asked him for some employment. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Abu Mousa O Abdullah Bin Qais!. I said; By Him Who sent you with the Truth; these two men did not tell me what was in their hearts and I did not feel realize that they were seeking employment. As if I were looking now at his Siwak being drawn to a corner under his lips; and he said; We never or; we do not appoint for our affairs anyone who seeks to be employed. But O Abu Mousa! or Abdullah Bin Qais! Go to Yemen. The Prophet then sent Muadh Bin Jabal after him and when Muadh reached him; he spread out a cushion for him and requested him to get down and sit on the cushion. Behold: There was a fettered man beside Abu Muisa. Muadh asked; Who is this man ? Abu Muisa said; He was a Jew and became a Muslim and then reverted back to Judaism. Then Abu Muisa requested Muadh to sit down but Muadh said; I will not sit down till he has been killed. This is the judgment of Allah and His Apostle for such cases and repeated it thrice. Then Abu Mousa ordered that the man be killed; and he was killed. Abu Mousa added; Then we discussed the night prayers and one of us said; I pray and sleep; and I hope that Allah will reward me for my sleep as well as for my prayers. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2043		Narrated Abu Humaid AlSaidi: Allah Messenger ﷺ employed an employee to collect Zakat. The employee returned after completing his job and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This amount of Zakat is for you; and this other amount was given to me as a present. The Prophet ﷺ said to him; Why didnt you stay at your father or mother house and see if you would be given presents or not? Then Allah Messenger ﷺ got up in the evening after the prayer; and having testified that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and praised and glorified Allah as He deserved; he said; Now then ! What about an employee whom we employ and then he comes and says; This amount of Zakat is for you; and this amount was given to me as a present? Why didnt he stay at the house of his father and mother to see if he would be given presents or not? By Him in Whose Hand Muhammad soul is; none of you will steal anything of it i.e. Zakat but will bring it by carrying it over his neck on the Day of Resurrection. If it has been a camel; he will bring it over his neck while it will be grunting; and if it has been a cow; he will bring it over his neck ; while it will be mooing; and if it has been a sheep; he will bring it over his neck while it will be bleeding. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5013		Narrated Abu Mousa: The Prophet ﷺ said; The example of Muslims; Jews and Christians is like the example of a man who employed laborers to work for him from morning till night for specific wages. They worked till midday and then said; We do not need your money which you have fixed for us and let whatever we have done be annulled. The man said to them; Dont quit the work; but complete the rest of it and take your full wages. But they refused and went away. The man employed another batch after them and said to them; Complete the rest of the day and yours will be the wages I had fixed for the first batch. So; they worked till the time of Asr prayer. Then they said; Let what we have done be annulled and keep the wages you have promised us for yourself. The man said to them; Complete the rest of the work; as only a little of the day remains; but they refused. Thereafter he employed another batch to work for the rest of the day and they worked for the rest of the day till the sunset; and they received the wages of the two former batches. So; that was the example of those people Muslims and the example of this light guidance which they have accepted willingly. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25920		Narrated Umar Ibn AlKhattab: Muslim Ibn Yasar AlJuhani said: When Umar Ibn AlKhattab was asked about the verse When your Lord took their offspring from the backs of the children of Adam - AlQanabi recited the verse-he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say when he was questioned about it: Allah created Adam; then passed His right hand over his back; and brought forth from it his offspring; saying: I have these for Paradise and these will do the deeds of those who go to Paradise. He then passed His hand over his back and brought forth from it his offspring; saying: I have created these for Hell; and they will do the deeds of those who go to Hell. A man asked: What is the good of doing anything; Messenger of Allah? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When Allah creates a servant for Paradise; He employs him in doing the deeds of those who will go to Paradise; so that his final action before death is one of the deeds of those who go to Paradise; for which He will bring him into Paradise. But when He creates a servant for Hell; He employs him in doing the deeds of those who will go to Hell; so that his final action before death is one of the deeds of those who go to Hell; for which He will bring him into Hell. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26550		Abu Burdah said on the authority of Abu Mousa : I went to the Prophet ﷺ while two men who were Ash arIs were with me. One of them was on my right and the other on my left side. Bothe of them asked him for employment. The prophet ﷺ was silent. He asked : What do you say Abu Mousa; or Abdullah Bin Qais Abu Mousas name ? I replied: By him who has sent you with truth; they did not inform me of what they had in their hearts; and I did not know that they would ask for an employment. He said : I have the scene before my eyes that he had his toothstick below his lip which receded. He the prophet said: We will never or will not put in charge of our work anyone who asks for it. But go; ye; Abu Mousa; or Abdullah Bin Qais. He then sent him as a Governor of the Yemen; After him he sent Muadh Bin Jabal. When Muadh came to him; he said: come down ; and he put a cushion for him. He saw that a man was chained with him. He asked : What is this? He replied: He was a Jew and he accepted Islam. He then converted to his religion; an evil religion. He said: I will not sit until he is killed according to the decision of Allah and his Apostle ﷺ. He said: Yes; be seated. He said: I will not sit until he is killed according to the decision of Allah and his Apostle ﷺ. He said it three times. He then commanded for it and he was killed. Both of them then discussed the question of prayer and vigilance at night. One of them; probably Muadh; said : So far as I am concerned; I sleep and I keep vigilance: I keep vigilance and I sleep: I hope for the same reward for my sleep as for my vigilance.
