SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1148 | Narrated Anas Bin Malik: The night Allah Messenger ﷺ was taken for a journey from the sacred Masjid of Mecca AlKaba: Three persons came to him in a dreamy while he was sleeping in the Sacred Masjid before the Divine Inspiration was revealed to Him. One of them said; Which of them is he? The middle second angel said; He is the best of them. The last third angle said; Take the best of them. Only that much happened on that night and he did not see them till they came on another night; i.e. after The Divine Inspiration was revealed to him. Fath AlBari Page 258; Vol. 17 and he saw them; his eyes were asleep but his heart was not--and so is the case with the prophets: their eyes sleep while their hearts do not sleep. So those angels did not talk to him till they carried him and placed him beside the well of Zamzam. From among them Gabriel took charge of him. Gabriel cut open the part of his body between his throat and the middle of his chest heart and took all the material out of his chest and Abdomen and then washed it with Zamzam water with his own hands till he cleansed the inside of his body; and then a gold tray containing a gold bowl full of belief and wisdom was brought and then Gabriel stuffed his chest and throat blood vessels with it and then closed it the chest. He then ascended with him to the heaven of the world and knocked on one of its doors. The dwellers of the Heaven asked; Who is it? He said; Gabriel. They said; Who is accompanying you? He said; Muhammad. They said; Has he been called? He said; Yes They said; He is welcomed. So the dwellers of the Heaven became pleased with his arrival; and they did not know what Allah would do to the Prophet ﷺ on earth unless Allah informed them. The Prophet ﷺ met Adam over the nearest Heaven. Gabriel said to the Prophet; He is your father; greet him. The Prophet ﷺ greeted him and Adam returned his greeting and said; Welcome; O my Son! O what a good son you are! Behold; he saw two flowing rivers; while he was in the nearest sky. He asked; What are these two rivers; O Gabriel? Gabriel said; These are the sources of the Nile and the Euphrates. Then Gabriel took him around that Heaven and behold; he saw another river at the bank of which there was a palace built of pearls and emerald. He put his hand into the river and found its mud like musk Adhfar. He asked; What is this; O Gabriel? Gabriel said; This is the Kauthar which your Lord has kept for you. Then Gabriel ascended with him to the second Heaven and the angels asked the same questions as those on the first Heaven; i.e.; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. They asked; Who is accompanying you? He said; Muhammad. They asked; Has he been sent for? He said; Yes. Then they said; He is welcomed. Then he Gabriel ascended with the Prophet ﷺ to the third Heaven; and the angels said the same as the angels of the first and the second Heavens had said. Then he ascended with him to the fourth Heaven and they said the same; and then he ascended with him to the fifth Heaven and they said the same; and then he ascended with him to the sixth Heaven and they said the same; then he ascended with him to the seventh Heaven and they said the same. On each Heaven there were prophets whose names he had mentioned and of whom I remember Idris on the second Heaven; Aaron on the fourth Heavens another prophet whose name I dont remember; on the fifth Heaven; Abraham on the sixth Heaven; and Moses on the seventh Heaven because of his privilege of talking to Allah directly. Moses said to Allah ; O Lord! I thought that none would be raised up above me. But Gabriel ascended with him the Prophet for a distance above that; the distance of which only Allah knows; till he reached the Lote Tree beyond which none may pass and then the Irresistible; the Lord of Honor and Majesty approached and came closer till he Gabriel was about two bow lengths or even nearer. It is said that it was Gabriel who approached and came closer to the Prophet. Fate AlBari Page 263; 264; Vol. 17. Among the things which Allah revealed to him then; was: Fifty prayers were enjoined on his followers in a day and a night. Then the Prophet ﷺ descended till he met Moses; and then Moses stopped him and asked; O Muhammad ! What did your Lord en join upon you? The Prophet ﷺ replied; He enjoined upon me to perform fifty prayers in a day and a night. Moses said; Your followers cannot do that; Go back so that your Lord may reduce it for you and for them. So the Prophet ﷺ turned to Gabriel as if he wanted to consult him about that issue. Gabriel told him of his opinion; saying; Yes; if you wish. So Gabriel ascended with him to the Irresistible and said while he was in his place; O Lord; please lighten our burden as my followers cannot do that. So Allah deducted for him ten prayers where upon he returned to Moses who stopped him again and kept on sending him back to his Lord till the enjoined prayers were reduced to only five prayers. Then Moses stopped him when the prayers had been reduced to five and said; O Muhammad! By Allah; I tried to persuade my nation; Bani Israel to do less than this; but they could not do it and gave it up. However; your followers are weaker in body; heart; sight and hearing; so return to your Lord so that He may lighten your burden. The Prophet ﷺ turned towards Gabriel for advice and Gabriel did not disapprove of that. So he ascended with him for the fifth time. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Lord; my followers are weak in their bodies; hearts; hearing and constitution; so lighten our burden. On that the Irresistible said; O Muhammad! the Prophet replied; Labbaik and Sadaik. Allah said; The Word that comes from Me does not change; so it will be as I enjoined on you in the Mother of the Book. Allah added; Every good deed will be rewarded as ten times so it is fifty prayers in the Mother of the Book in reward but you are to perform only five in practice. The Prophet ﷺ returned to Moses who asked; What have you done? He said; He has lightened our burden: He has given us for every good deed a tenfold reward. Moses said; By Allah! I tried to make Bani Israel observe less than that; but they gave it up. So go back to your Lord that He may lighten your burden further. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; O Moses! By Allah; I feel shy of returning too many times to my Lord. On that Gabriel said; Descend in Allah Name. The Prophet ﷺ then woke while he was in the Sacred Masjid at Mecca. | The Chapter on Heaven Gabriel Moses And Abraham in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on And to Musa Moses Allah spoke directly in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1683 | Narrated Malik Bin Aus: I went and entered upon Umar; his doorman; Yarfa came saying Uthman; Abdulrahman AlZubair and Saad are asking your permission to see you. May I admit them? Umar said; Yes. So he admitted them Then he came again and said; May I admit Ali and Abbas? He said; Yes. Abbas said; O; chief of the believers! Judge between me and this man Ali. Umar said; I beseech you by Allah by Whose permission both the heaven and the earth exist; do you know that Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Our the Apostles property will not be inherited; and whatever we leave after our death is to be spent in charity? And by that Allah Messenger ﷺ meant himself. The group said; No doubt ; he said so. Umar then faced Ali and Abbas and said; Do you both know that Allah Messenger ﷺ said that? They replied; No doubt ; he said so. Umar said; So let me talk to you about this matter. Allah favored His Apostle with something of this Fai i.e. booty won by the Muslims at war without fighting which He did not give to anybody else; Allah said:- And what Allah gave to His Apostle Fai Booty.........to do all things.... 59.6 And so that property was only for Allah Messenger ﷺ. Yet; by Allah; he neither gathered that property for himself nor withheld it from you; but he gave its income to you; and distributed it among you till there remained the present property out of which the Prophet ﷺ used to spend the yearly maintenance for his family; and whatever used to remain; he used to spend it where Allah property is spent i.e. in charity etc.. Allah Messenger ﷺ followed that throughout his life. Now I beseech you by Allah; do you know all that? They said; Yes. Umar then said to Ali and Abbas; I beseech you by Allah; do you know that? Both of them said; Yes. Umar added; And when the Prophet ﷺ died; Abu Bakr said; I am the successor of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and took charge of that property and managed it in the same way as Allah Messenger ﷺ did. Then I took charge of this property for two years during which I managed it as Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr did. Then you both Ali and Abbas came to talk to me; bearing the same claim and presenting the same case. O Abbas! You came to me asking for your share from the property of your nephew; and this man Ali came to me; asking for the share of h is wife from the property of her father. I said; If you both wish; I will give that to you on that condition i.e. that you would follow the way of the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr and as I Umar have done in man aging it. Now both of you seek of me a verdict other than that? Lo! By Allah; by Whose permission both the heaven and the earth exist; I will not give any verdict other than that till the Hour is established. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3231 | Narrated Malik Bin Aus Bin AlHadathan: Once I set out to visit Umar bin AlKhattab. While I was sitting there with him his gate-keeper; Yarfa; came and said; Uthman Abdulrahman bin Auf ; AlZubair and Saad bin Abi Waqqas are seeking permission to meet you. Umar said; Yes. So he admitted them and they entered; greeted; and sat down. After a short while Yarfa came again and said to Umar Shall I admit Ali and Abbas? Umar said; Yes. He admitted them and when they entered; they greeted and sat down. Abbas said; O Chief of the Believers! Judge between me and this Ali. The group; Uthman and his companions Sad; O Chief of the Believers! Judge between them and relieve one from the other. Umar said. Wait! I beseech you by Allah; by Whose permission both the Heaven and the Earth stand fast ! Do you know that Allah Messenger ﷺ said. We Apostles do not bequeath anything to our heirs; but whatever we leave is to be given in charity. And by that Allah Messenger ﷺ s meant himself? The group said; He did say so. Umar then turned towards All and Abbas and said. I beseech you both by Allah; do you know that Allah Messenger ﷺ said that? They said; Yes Umar said; Now; let me talk to you about this matter. Allah favored His Apostle with something of this property war booty which He did not give to anybody else. And Allah said:- And what Allah has bestowed on His Apostle as Fai Booty from them for which you made no expedition with either cavalry or camelry... Allah is Able to do all things. 59.6 So this property was especially granted to Allah Messenger ﷺ. But by Allah he neither withheld it from you; nor did he keep it for himself and deprive you of it; but he gave it all to you and distributed it among you till only this remained out of it. And out of this property Allah Messenger ﷺ used to provide his family with their yearly needs; and whatever remained; he would spend where Allah Property the revenues of Zakat used to be spent. Allah Messenger ﷺ kept on acting like this throughout his lifetime. Now I beseech you by Allah; do you know that? They said; Yes. Then Umar said to Ali and Abbas; I beseech you by Allah; do you both know that? They said; Yes. Umar added; When Allah had taken His Apostle unto Him; Abu Bakr said; I am the successor of Allah Messenger ﷺ. So he took charge of that property and did with it the same what Allah Messenger ﷺ used to do; and both of you knew all about it then. Then Umar turned towards Ali and Abbas and said; You both claim that Abu Bakr was so-and-so! But Allah knows that he was honest; sincere; pious and right in that matter. Then Allah caused Abu Bakr to die; and I said; I am the successor of Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr. So I kept this property in my possession for the first two years of my rule; and I used to do the same with it as Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr used to do. Later both of you Ali and Abbas came to me with the same claim and the same problem. O Abbas! You came to me demanding your share from the inheritance of the son of your brother; and he Ali came to me demanding his wives share from the inheritance of her father. So I said to you; If you wish I will hand over this property to you; on condition that you both promise me before Allah that you will manage it in the same way as Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr did; and as I have done since the beginning of my rule; otherwise you should not speak to me about it. So you both said; Hand over this property to us on this condition. And on this condition I handed it over to you. I beseech you by Allah; did I hand it over to them on that condition? The group said; Yes. Umar then faced Ali and Abbas and said; I beseech you both by Allah; did I hand it over to you both on that condition? They both said; Yes. Umar added; Do you want me now to give a decision other than that? By Him with Whose permission order both the Heaven and the Earth stand fast; I will never give any decision other than that till the Hour is established! But if you are unable to manage it that property ; then return it to me and I will be sufficient for it on your behalf. | The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes Management in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To provide one family with food sufficient for one year in advance in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3750 | Narrated Abbas Bin Malik: Malik Bin Sasaa said that Allah Messenger ﷺ described to them his Night Journey saying; While I was lying in AlHatim or AlHijr; suddenly someone came to me and cut my body open from here to here. I asked AlJarud who was by my side; What does he mean? He said; It means from his throat to his pubic area; or said; From the top of the chest. The Prophet ﷺ further said; He then took out my heart. Then a gold tray of Belief was brought to me and my heart was washed and was filled with Belief and then returned to its original place. Then a white animal which was smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me. On this AlJarud asked; Was it the Buraq; O Abu Hamza? I i.e. Anas replied in the affirmative. The Prophet ﷺ said; The animal step was so wide that it reached the farthest point within the reach of the animal sight. I was carried on it; and Gabriel set out with me till we reached the nearest heaven. When he asked for the gate to be opened; it was asked; Who is it? Gabriel answered; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has Muhammad been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is! The gate was opened; and when I went over the first heaven; I saw Adam there. Gabriel said to me. This is your father; Adam; pay him your greetings. So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious son and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me till we reached the second heaven. Gabriel asked for the gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel answered; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel answered in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is! The gate was opened. When I went over the second heaven; there I saw Yahya i.e. John and Isa i.e. Jesus who were cousins of each other. Gabriel said to me ; These are John and Jesus; pay them your greetings. So I greeted them and both of them returned my greetings to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the third heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed; what an excellent visit his is! The gate was opened; and when I went over the third heaven there I saw Joseph. Gabriel said to me ; This is Joseph; pay him your greetings. So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the fourth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed; what an excel lent visit his is! The gate was opened; and when I went over the fourth heaven; there I saw Idris. Gabriel said to me ; This is Idris; pay him your greetings. So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the fifth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. It was asked. Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said He is welcomed; what an excellent visit his is! So when I went over the fifth heaven; there I saw Harun i.e. Aaron ; Gabriel said; to me. This is Aaron; pay him your greetings. I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the sixth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked. Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. It was said; He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is! When I went over the sixth heaven ; there I saw Moses. Gabriel said to me ; This is Moses; pay him your greeting. So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. When I left him i.e. Moses he wept. Someone asked him; What makes you weep? Moses said; I weep because after me there has been sent as Prophet a young man whose followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the seventh heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is! So when I went over the seventh heaven ; there I saw Abraham. Gabriel said to me ; This is your father; pay your greetings to him. So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious son and pious Prophet. Then I was made to ascend to Sidrat AlMuntaha i.e. the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary Behold! Its fruits were like the jars of Hajr i.e. a place near Medina and its leaves were as big as the ears of elephants. Gabriel said; This is the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary. Behold ! There ran four rivers; two were hidden and two were visible; I asked; What are these two kinds of rivers; O Gabriel? He replied; As for the hidden rivers; they are two rivers in Paradise and the visible rivers are the Nile and the Euphrates. Then AlBait AlMamur i.e. the Sacred House was shown to me and a container full of wine and another full of milk and a third full of honey were brought to me. I took the milk. Gabriel remarked; This is the Islamic religion which you and your followers are following. Then the prayers were enjoined on me: They were fifty prayers a day. When I returned; I passed by Moses who asked me ; What have you been ordered to do? I replied; I have been ordered to offer fifty prayers a day. Moses said; Your followers cannot bear fifty prayers a day; and by Allah; I have tested people before you; and I have tried my level best with Bani Israel in vain. Go back to your Lord and ask for reduction to lessen your followers burden. So I went back; and Allah reduced ten prayers for me. Then again I came to Moses; but he repeated the same as he had said before. Then again I went back to Allah and He reduced ten more prayers. When I came back to Moses he said the same; I went back to Allah and He ordered me to observe ten prayers a day. When I came back to Moses; he repeated the same advice; so I went back to Allah and was ordered to observe five prayers a day. When I came back to Moses; he said; What have you been ordered? I replied; I have been ordered to observe five prayers a day. He said; Your followers cannot bear five prayers a day; and no doubt; I have got an experience of the people before you; and I have tried my level best with Bani Israel; so go back to your Lord and ask for reduction to lessen your follower burden. I said; I have requested so much of my Lord that I feel ashamed; but I am satisfied now and surrender to Allah Order. When I left; I heard a voice saying; I have passed My Order and have lessened the burden of My Worshipers. | The Chapter on Heaven Gabriel Moses And Abraham in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on AlMiraj in Sahih AlBukhari

So; the gate was opened and we went over the nearest heaven; and there we saw a man sitting with Aswida a large number of people of his right and Aswida on his left. When he looked towards his right; he laughed and when he looked towards his left he wept. He said to me ; Welcome; O pious Prophet and pious son. I said; Who is this man O Jibril? Jibril replied; He is Adam; and the people on his right and left are the souls of his offspring. Those on the right are the people of Paradise; and those on the left are the people of the Hell Fire. So; when he looks to the right; he laughs; and when he looks to the left he weeps. Then Jibril ascended with me till he reached the second heaven and said to the gatekeeper; Open the gate. The gatekeeper said to him the same as the gatekeeper of the first heaven has said; and he opened the gate.Anas added: Abu Dhar mentioned that Prophet ﷺ met Idris; Mousa Moses ; Isa Jesus and Ibrahim Abraham over the heavens; but he did not specify their places i.e.; on which heavens each of them was ; but he mentioned that he the Prophet ﷺ had met Adam on the nearest heaven; and Ibrahim on the sixth. Anas said; When Jibril and the Prophet ﷺ passed by Idris; the latter said; Welcome; O pious Prophet and pious brother! the Prophet ﷺ asked; Who is he? Jibril said; He is Idris. Ibn Hazm and Anas Bin Malik state the Prophet ﷺ said; Allah enjoined fifty Prayer prayers on me. When I returned with this order of Allah; I passed by Mousa who asked me; What has Allah enjoined on your followers? I replied; He has enjoined fifty Prayer prayers on them. On the Mousa said to me; Go back to your Lord and appeal for reduction ; for your followers will not be able to bear it. So; I returned to my Lord and asked for some reduction; and He reduced it to half. When I passed by Mousa again and informed him about it; he once more said to me; Go back to your Lord; for your followers will not be able to bear it. So; I returned to my Lord similarly as before; and half of it was reduced. I again passed by Mousa and he said to me; Go back to your Lord; for your followers will not be able to bear it. I again returned to my Lord and He said; These are five Prayer prayer and they are all equal to fifty in reward ; for My Word does not change. I returned to Mousa; he again told me to return to my Lord for further reduction but I said to him I feel shy of asking my Lord now. SahihMuslim-017-001-17895 | It has been reported on the authority of Anas Bin Malik who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Busaisah as a scout to see what the caravan of Abu Sufyan was doing. He came back and met the Prophet in his house where there was nobody except myself and the Messenger of Allah. I do not remember whether he Hadrat Anas made an exception of some wives of the Prophet ﷺ or not and told him the news of the caravan. Having heard the news ; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out hurriedly ; spoke to the people and said: We are in need of men ; whoever has an animal to ride upon ready with him should ride with us. People began to ask him permission for bringing their riding animals which were grazing on the hillocks near Medina. He said: No. I want only those who have their riding animals ready. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions proceeded towards Badr and reached there forestalling the polytheists of Mecca. When the polytheists also reached there; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: None of you should step forward to do anything unless I am ahead of him. The polytheists now advanced towards us ; and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. Get up to enter Paradise which is equal in width to the heavens and the earth. Umair Bin AlHumam AlAnsari said: Messenger of Allah; is Paradise equal in extent to the heavens and the earth? He said: Yes. Umair said: My goodness! The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him: What prompted you to utter these words i. e. my goodness! ? He said: Messenger of Allah; nothing but the desire that I be among its residents. He said: Thou art surely amona its residents. He took out dates from his bag and began to eat them. Then he said: If I were to live until I have eaten all these dates of mine; it would be a long life. The narrator said : He threw away all the dates he had with him. Then he fought the enemies until he was killed. | The Chapter on Food And Invitations in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 41 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18040 | It is reported by Zuhri that this tradition was narrated to him by Malik Bin Aus who said: Umar Bin AlKhattab sent for me and I came to him when the day had advanced. I found him in his house sitting on his bare bed-stead; reclining on a leather pillow. He said to me : Malik; some people of your tribe have hastened to me with a request for help. I have ordered a little money for them. Take it and distribute it among them. I said: I wish you had ordered somebody else to do this job. He said: Malik; take it and do what you have been told. At this moment his man-servant Yarfa came in and said: Commander of the Faithful; what do you say about Uthman; Abd AlRabman Bin Auf; AlZubair and Saad who have come to seek an audience with you ? He said: Yes; and permitted them. so they entered. Then he Yarfa came again and said: What do you say about Ali and Abbas who are present at the door ? He said: Yes; and permitted them to enter. Abbas said: Commander of the Faithful; decide the dispute between me and this sinful; treacherous; dishonest liar. The people who were present also said: Yes. Commander of the Faithful; do decide the dispute and have mercy on them. Malik Bin Aus said: I could well imagine that they had sent them in advance for this purpose by Ali and Abbas. Umar said: Wait and be patient. I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heavens and the earth are sustained; dont you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We prophets do not have any heirs; what we leave behind is to be given in charity? They said: Yes. Then he turned to Abbas and Ali and said: I adjure you both by Allah by Whose order the heavens and earth are sustained; dont you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We do not have any heirs; what we leave behind is to be given in charity? They too said: Yes. Then Umar said: Allah; the Glorious and Exalted; had done to His Messenger ﷺ a special favour that He has not done to anyone else except him. He quoted the Quranic verse: What Allah has bestowed upon His Apostle from the properties of the people of township is for Allah and His Messenger. The narrator said: I do not know whether he also recited the previous verse or not. Umar continued: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distrbuted among you the properties abandoned by Banu Nadir. By Allah; he never preferred himself over you and never appropriated anything to your exclusion. After a fair distribution in this way this property was left over. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would meet from its income his annual expenditure; and what remained would be deposited in the Bait AlMal. Continuing further he said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heavens and the earth are sustained. Do you know this? They said: Yes. Then he adjured Abbas and All as he had adjured the other persons and asked: Do you both know this? They said: Yes. He said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away; Abu Bakr said: I am the successor of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Both of you came to demand your shares from the property left behind by the Messenger of Allah. Referring to Hadrat Abbas ; he said: You demanded your share from the property of your nephew; and he referring to Ali demanded a share on behalf of his wife from the property of her father. Abu Bakr Allah be pleased with him said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said: We do not have any heirs; what we leave behind is to be given in charity. So both of you thought him to be a liar; sinful; treacherous and dishonest. And Allah knows that he was true; virtuous; well-guided and a follower of truth. When Abu Bakr passed away and I have become the successor of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr Allah be pleased with him ; you thought me to be a liar; sinful; treacherous and dishonest. And Allah knows that I am true; virtuous; well-guided and a follower of truth. I became the guardian of this property. Then you as well as he came to me. Both of you have come and your purpose is identical. You said: Entrust the property to us. I said: If you wish that I should entrust it to you; it will be on the condition that both of you will undertake to abide by a pledge made with Allah that you will use it in the same way as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used it. So both of you got it. He said: Wasnt it like this? They said: Yes. He said: Then you have again come to me with the request that I should adjudge between you. No; by Allah. I will not give any other judgment except this until the arrival of the Doomsday. If you are unable to hold the property on this condition; return it to me. | The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes Management in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 15 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18392 | It is reported on the authority of Anas Bin Malik that he said: We were forbidden that we should ask anything without the genuine need from the Holy Prophet. It; therefore; pleased us that an intelligent person from the dwellers of the desert should come and asked him the Holy Prophet and we should listen to it. A man from the dwellers of the desert came to the Holy Prophet and said: Muhammad; your messenger came to us and told us your assertion that verily Allah had sent you as a prophet. He the Holy Prophet remarked: He told the truth. He the bedouin said: Who created the heaven? He the Holy Prophet replied: Allah. He the bedouin again said: Who created the earth? He the Holy Prophet replied: Allah. He the bedouin again said: Who raised these mountains and who created in them whatever is created there? He the Holy Prophet replied: Allah. Upon this he the bedouin remarked: By Him Who created the heaven and created the earth and raised mountains thereupon; has Allah in fact sent you? He the Holy Prophet said: Yes. He the bedouin said: Your messenger also told us that five prayers had been made obligatory for us during the day and the night. He the Holy Prophet remarked: He told you the truth. He the bedouin said: By Him Who sent you; is it Allah Who ordered you about this i. e. prayers ? He the Holy Prophet said: Yes. He the bedouin said: Your messenger told us that Zakat had been made obligatory in our riches. He the Holy Prophet said. He has told the truth. He the bedouin said: By Him Who sent you as a prophet ; is it Allah Who ordered you about it Zakat ? He the Holy Prophet said: Yes. He the bedouin said: Your messenger also told us that pilgrimage Hajj to the House of Kabah had been made obligatory for him who is able to undertake the journey to it. He the Holy Prophet said: Yes. The narrator said that he the bedouin set off at the conclusion of this answer; but at the time of his departure remarked: By Him Who sent you with the Truth; I would neither make any addition to them nor would I diminish anything out of them. Upon this the Prophet remarked: If he were true to what he said he must enter Paradise. | The Chapter on Journeys And Travel And Bedouins in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 3 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18700 | It is narrated on the authority of Anas Bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I was brought AlBuraq Who is an animal white and long; larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule; who would place his hoof a distance equal to the range of version. I mounted it and came to the Temple Bait Maqdis in Jerusalem ; then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. I entered the Masjid and prayed two rakahs in it; and then came out and Gabriel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. I chose the milk; and Gabriel said: You have chosen the natural thing. Then he took me to heaven. Gabriel then asked the gate of heaven to be opened and he was asked who he was. He replied: Gabriel. He was again asked: Who is with you? He Gabriel said: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? Gabriel replied: He has indeed been sent for. And the door of the heaven was opened for us and lo! we saw Adam. He welcomed me and prayed for my good. Then we ascended to the second heaven. Gabriel ﷺ asked the door of heaven to be opened ; and he was asked who he was. He answered: Gabriel; and was again asked: Who is with you? He replied: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened. When I entered Isa Bin Maryam and Yahya Bin Zakariya peace be upon both of them ; cousins from the maternal side. welcomed me and prayed for my good Then I was taken to the third heaven and Gabriel asked for the opening of the door. He was asked: Who are you? He replied: Gabriel. He was again asked: Who is with you? He replied Muhammad ﷺ. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened for us and I saw Yousif peace of Allah be upon him who had been given half of world beauty. He welcomed me prayed for my well-being. Then he ascended with us to the fourth heaven. Gabriel ﷺ asked for the gate to be opened; and it was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel. It was again said: Who is with you? He said: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened for us; and lo! Idris was there. He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being About him Allah; the Exalted and the Glorious; has said: We elevated him Idris to the exalted position Quran xix. 57. Then he ascended with us to the fifth heaven and Gabriel asked for the gate to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He replied Gabriel. It was again said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad. It was said Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened for us and then I was with Harun Aaron-peace of Allah be upon him. He welcomed me prayed for my well-being. Then I was taken to the sixth heaven. Gabriel ﷺ asked for the door to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel. It was said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened for us and there I was with Mousa Moses ﷺ He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being. Then I was taken up to the seventh heaven. Gabriel asked the gate to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He said: Gabriel It was said. Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad ﷺ. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened for us and there I found Ibrahim Abraham ﷺ reclining against the Bait AlMamur and there enter into it seventy thousand angels every day; never to visit this place again. Then I was taken to Sidrat AlMuntaha whose leaves were like elephant ears and its fruit like big earthenware vessels. And when it was covered by the Command of Allah; it underwent such a change that none amongst the creation has the power to praise its beauty. Then Allah revealed to me a revelation and He made obligatory for me fifty prayers every day and night. Then I went down to Moses ﷺ and he said: What has your Lord enjoined upon your Ummah? I said: Fifty prayers. He said: Return to thy Lord and beg for reduction in the number of prayers ; for your community shallnot be able to bear this burden. as I have put to test the children of Israil and tried them and found them too weak to bear such a heavy burden. He the Holy Prophet said: I went back to my Lord and said: My Lord; make things lighter for my Ummah. The Lord reduced five prayers for me. I went down to Moses and said. The Lord reduced five prayers for me; He said: Verily thy Ummah shall not be able to bear this burden; return to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter. I then kept going back and forth between my Lord Blessed and Exalted and Moses; till He said: There are five prayers every day and night. O Muhammad; each being credited as ten; so that makes fifty prayers. He who intends to do a good deed and does not do it will have a good deed recorded for him; and if he does it; it will be recorded for him as ten; whereas he who intends to do an evil deed and does not do; it will not be recorded for him; and if he does it; only one evil deed will be recorded. I then came down and when I came to Moses and informed him; he said: Go back to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter. SahihMuslim-017-001-18704 | Anas Bin Malik reported: Abu Dharr used to relate that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The roof of my house was cleft when I was in Mecca and Gabriel descended and opened my heart and then washed it with the water of Zamzam. He then brought a gold basin full of wisdom and faith and after emptying it into my breast; he closed it up. Then taking me by he hand; he ascended with me to th heaven; and when we came to the lowest heaven; Gabriel said to the guardian of the lowest heaven: Open. He asked who was there? He replied. It is Gabriel. He again asked whe he there was someone with him. He replied: Yes; it is Muhammad with me. He was asked if he had been sent for; He Gabriel said: Yes. Then he opened the gate. When we ascended the lowest heaven I saw a man seated with parties on his right side and parties on his left side. When he looked up to his right; he laughed and when he looked to his left; he wept. He said: Welcome to the righteous apostle and the righteous son. I asked Gabriel who he was and he replied: He is Adam ﷺ and these parties on his right and on his left are the souls of his descendants. Those of them on his right are the inmates of Paradise and the parties which are on his left side are the inmates of Hell; so when he looked towards his right side; he laughed; and when he looked towards his left side; he wept. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the second heaven. He asked its guardian to open its gate ; and its guardian replied in the same way as the guardian of the lowest heaven had said. He opened it. Anas Bin Malik said: He the Holy Prophet mentioned that he found in the heavens Adam; Idris; Jesus; Moses and Abraham may peace be on all of them ; but he did not ascertain as to the nature of their abodes except that he had found Adam in the lowest heaven and Abraham in the sixth heaven. When Gabriel and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Idris ﷺ he said: Welcome to the righteous apostle and righteous brother. He the narrator said: He then proceeded and said: Who is he? Gabriel replied: It is Idris. Then I passed by Moses ﷺ and he said: Welcome tothe righteous apostle and righteous brother. I said to Gabriel : Who is he? He replied: It is Moses. Then I passed by Jesus and he said: Welcome to the righteous apostle and righteous brother. I said to Gabriel : Who is he? He replied: Jesus; son of Mary. He the Holy Prophet said: Then I went to Ibrahim ﷺ. He said: Welcome to the righteous apostle and righteous son. I asked: Who is he? He Gabriel replied: It is Abraham. Ibn Shihab said: Ibn Hazm told me that Ibn Abbas and Abd Habba AlAnsari used to say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Thereafter he ascended with me till I was taken to such a height where I heard the scraping of the pens. Ibn Hazm and Anas told that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah then made fifty prayers obligatory for my Ummah and I returned with that and passed by Moses. Moses; ﷺ said: What has thy Lord enjoined on thy people? I said: Fifty prayers have been made obligatory on them. Moses ﷺ said: Return to thy Lord; for thy Ummah would not be able to bear this burden. Then I came back to my Lord and He remitted a portion out of thut. I then again went to Moses ﷺ and informed him about it He said: Return to thy Lord; for thy Ummah shall not be able to bear this burden. I then went back to my Lord and He said: They are five and at the same time fifty; and what has been said will not be changed. I then returned to Moses and he said: Go back to thy Lord. whereupon I said: I feel ashamed of my Lord. Gabriel then travelled with me till we came to the farthest lote-tree Many a colour had covered it which I do not know. SahihMuslim-017-001-18705 | Anas Bin Malik reported on the authority of Malik Bin Sa sa; perhaps a person of his tribe; that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: I was near the House i. e. Kabah in a state between sleep and wakefulness when I heard someone say: He is the third among the two persons. Then he came to me and took me with him. Then a golden basin containing the water of Zamzam was brought to me and my heart was opened up to such and such part. Qatada said: I asked him who was with me i e. the narrator and what he meant by such and such part. He replied: It means that it was opened up to the lower part of his abdomen Then the hadith continues : My heart was extracted and it was washed with the water of Zamzam and then it was restored in its original position; after which it was filled with faith and wisdom. I was then brought a white beast which is called AlBuraq; bigger than a donkey and smaller than a mule. Its stride was as long as the eye could reach. He the Prophet said: Then the gate was opened for us and it was said : Welcome unto him! His is a blessed arrival. Then we came to Adam ﷺ. And he the narrator narrated the whole account of the hadith. The Holy Prophet observed that he met Jesus in the second heaven; Yahya peace be on both of them in the third heaven; Yousif in the third; Idris in the fourth; Harun in the fifth peace and blessings of Allah be upon them. Then we travelled on till we reached the sixth heaven and came to Moses ﷺ and I greeted him and he said: Welcome unto righteous brother and righteous prophet. And when I passed by him he wept; and a voice was heard saying: What makes thee weep? He said: My Lord; he is a young man whom Thou hast sent after me as a prophet and his followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers. Then we travelled on till we reached the seventh heaven and I came to Ibrahim. He the narrator narrat- ed in this hadith that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ told that he saw four rivers which flowed from the root of the lote-tree of the farthest limits : two manifest rivers and two hidden rivers. I said: Gabriel! what are these rivers? He replied: The two hidden rivers are the rivers of Paradise; and as regards the two manifest ones; they are the Nile and the Euphrates. Then the Bait AlMamur was raised up to me. I said: O Gabriel! what is this? He replied: It is the Bait AlMamur. Seventy thousand angels enter into it daily and; after they come out; they never return again. Two vessels were then brought to me. The first one contained wine and the second one contained milk; and both of them were placed before me. I chose milk. It was said: You did right. Allah will guide rightly through you your Ummah on the natural course. Then fifty prayers daily were made obligatory for me. He says that a smoke would come to the people on the Day of Resurrection anl it will withhold breath and they would be inflicted with cold. Abdullah said: He who has knowledge should say something and he who has no knowledge should simply say: Allah is best aware. This reflects the understanding of a person that he should say about that which he does not know that it is Allah who knows best. The fact is that when the Quraish disobeyed Allah Apostle ﷺ he supplicated Allah that they should be afflicted with famine and starvation as was done in case of Yousif. And they were so much hard pressed that a person would ace the sky and he would see between him and the sky something like smoke and they were so much hard pressed that they began to cat the bones; and a person came to Allah Apostle ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger. seek forgiveness for the tribe of Mudar for its people have been undone. Abu Bakr said: Allah Messenger; may my father be sacrificed for you; by Allah; allow me to interpret it. Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Well; give its interpretation. Thereupon Abu Bakr said: The canopy signifies the canopy of Islam and that what trickles out of it in the form of butter and honey is the Holy Quran and its sweetness and softness and what the people get hold of it in their palms implies major portion of the Quran or the small portion; and so far as the rope joining the sky with the earth is concerned; it is the Truth by which you stood in the worldly life and by which Allah would raise you to Heaven. Then the person after you would take hold of it and he would also climb up with the help of it. Then another person would take hold of it and climb up with the help of it. Then another person would take hold of it and it would be broken; then it would be rejoined for him and he would climb up with the help of it. Allah Messenger ﷺ said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot of meteor ? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best the actual position ; but we; however; used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died; whereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: These meteors are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. He the Holy Prophet said: Woe to thee. Do I not deserve most to fear Allah amongst the people of the earth? That man then returned. Khalid Bin Walid then said: Messenger of Allah; should I not strike his neck? Upon this he the Holy Prophet said: Perhaps he may be observing the prayer. Khalid said: How many observers of prayer are there who profess with their tongue what is not in their heart? Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I have not been commanded to pierce through the hearts of people; nor to split their bellies insides. He again looked at him and he was going back. Upon this he the Holy Prophet said: There would arise a people from the progeny of this man who would recite the Quran glibly; but it would not go beyond their throats; they would hurriedly pass through the teachings of their religion just as the arrow passes through the prey. SahihMuslim-017-001-23477 | Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ neither recited the Quran to the Jinn nor did he see them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out with some of his Companions with the intention of going to the bazaar of Ukaz And there had been at that time obstructions between satans and the news from the Heaven; and there were flung flames upon them. So satan went back to their people and they said: What has happened to you? They said: There have been created obstructions between us and the news from the Heaven. And there have been flung upon us flames. They said: It cannot happen but for some important event. So traverse the eastern parts of the earth and the western parts and find out why is it that there have been created obstructions between us and the news from the Heaven. So they went forth and traversed the easts of the earth and its wests. Some of them proceeded towards Tihama and that is a nakhl towards the bazaar of Ukaz and he the Holy Prophet was leading his Companions in the morning prayer. So when they heard the Quran. they listened to it attentively and said: It is this which has caused obstruction between us and news from the Heaven. They went back to their people and said: O our people; we have heard a strange Quran which directs us to the right path; so we affirm our faith in it and we would never associate anyone with our Lord. And Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; revealed to His Apostle Muhammad ﷺ : It has been revealed to me that a party of Jinn listened to it Quran; lxxii. 1. | The Chapter on Heaven Alquran Ramdan And Satan in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 33 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-23867 | Ibn Abbas reported that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up during the night to pray; he used to say: O Allah; to Thee be the praise Thou art the light of the heavens and the earth. To Thee be the praise; Thou art the Supporter of the heavens and the earth. To Thee be the praise; Thou art the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is therein. Thou art the Truth; Thy promise is True; the meeting with Thee is True. Paradise is true; Hell is true; the Hour is true. O Allah; I submit to Thee; affirm my faith in Thee; repose my trust in Thee; and I return to Thee for repentance; by Thy help I have disputed; and to Thee I have come for decision; so forgive me my earlier and later sins; the sins that I committed in secret and openly. Thou art my God. There is no god but Thee. | The Chapter on Allah Characteristics And Affirming Faith in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 26 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-23871 | Ali Bin Abu Talib reported that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up at night for prayer he would say: I turn my face in complete devotion to One Who is the Originator of the heaven and the earth and I am not of the polytheists. Verily my prayer; my sacrifice; my living and my dying are for Allah; the Lord of the worlds; There is no partner with Him and this is what I have been commanded to profess and believe and I am of the believers. O Allah; Thou art the King; there is no god but Thee; Thou art my Lord; and I am Thy bondman. I wronged myself and make a confession of my Sin. Forgive all my sins; for no one forgives the sins but Thee; and guide me in the best of conduct for none but Thee guideth anyone in good conduct. Remove sins from me; for none else but Thou can remove sins from me. Here I am at Thy service; and Grace is to Thee and the whole of good is in Thine hand; and one cannot get nearneststo Thee through evil. My power as well as existence is due to Thee Thine grace and I turn to Thee for supplication. Thou art blessed and Thou art exalted. I seek forgiveness from Thee and turn to Thee in repentance: and when he would bow; he would say: O Allah; it is for Thee that I bowed. I affirm my faith in Thee and I submit to Thee; and submit humbly before Thee my hearing; my eyesight; my marrow; my bone; my sinew; and when he would raise his head; he would say: O Allah; our Lord; praise is due to Thee; the praise with which is filled the heavens and the earth; and with which is filled that space which exists between them; and filled with anything that Thou desireth afterward. And when he prostrated himself; he the Holy Prophet would say: O Allah; it is to Thee that I prostrate myself and it is in Thee that I affirm my faith; and I submit to Thee. My face is submitted before One Who created it; and shaped it; and opened his faculties of hearing and seeing. Blessed is Allah; the best of Creators; and he would then say between Tashahhud and the pronouncing of salutation: Forgive me of the earlier and later open and secret sins and that where I made transgression and that Thou knowest better than I. Thou art the First and the Last. There is no god; but Thee. | The Chapter on Allah Characteristics And Affirming Faith in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 26 in Sahih Muslim |

I saw the people spreading their hands. Some of them took much and some a little. I also saw a rope hanging from Heaven to Earth. I saw; Messenger of Allah; that you caught hold of it and ascended by it. Then another man caught hold of it and ascended it. Then another man caught hold of it and ascended it. Then another man caught hold of it; but it broke; and then it was joined and he ascended it. Abu Bakr said: May my parents be sacrificed for you; if you allow; I shall interpret it. He said: Interpret it. He said: The piece of cloud is the cloud of Islam; the ghee and honey that were dropping from it are the Quran; which contains softness and sweetness. Those who received much or little of it are those who learn much or little of the Quran. The rope hanging from Heaven to Earth is the truth which you are following. You catch hold of it and then Allah will raise you to Him. Then another man will catch hold of it and ascend it; Then another man will catch hold of it and it will break. Abu Dawud said: I am not quite confident about the word anan. He asked: Do you know the distance between Heaven and Earth? They replied: We do not know. He then said: The distance between them is seventy-one; seventy-two; or seventy-three years. The heaven which is above it is at a similar distance going on till he counted seven heavens. Above the seventh heaven there is a sea; the distance between whose surface and bottom is like that between one heaven and the next. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Woe to you: Do you know what you are saying? Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared Allahs glory and he continued declaring His glory till the effect of that was apparent in the faces of his Companions. He then said: Woe to you: Allah is not to be sought as intercessor with anyone. Allahs state is greater than that. Woe to you! Do you know how great Allah is? His throne is above the heavens thus indicating with his fingers like a dome over him ; and it groans on account of Him as a saddle does because of the rider Ibn Bashshar said in his version: Allah is above the throne; and the throne is above the heavens. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition. Abd AlAla; Ibn AlMuthana and Ibn Bashshar transmitted it from Yaqub Bin Utbah and Jubair Bin Muhammad Bin Jubair from his father on the authority of his grandfather.Abu Dawud said: This tradition with the chain of Ahmad Bin Saad is sound. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25970 | Narrated AlBara Ibn Azib: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accompanying the bier of a man of the Ansar. When we reached his grave; it was not yet dug. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down and we also sat down around him as if birds were over our heads. He had in his hand a stick with which he was scratching the ground. He then raised his head and said: Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave. He said it twice or thrice. The version of Jabir adds here: He hears the beat of their sandals when they go back; and at that moment he is asked: O so and so! Who is your Lord; what is your religion; and who is your Prophet? Hannad version says: Two angels will come to him; make him sit up and ask him: Who is your Lord? He will reply: My Lord is Allah. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: My religion is Islam. They will ask him: What is your opinion about the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: He is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They will ask: Who made you aware of this? He will reply: I read Allah Book; believed in it; and considered it true; which is verified by Allah words: Allah Book; believed in it; and considered it true; which is verified by Allah words: Allah establishes those who believe with the word that stands firm in this world and the next. The agreed version reads: Then a crier will call from Heaven: My servant has spoken the truth; so spread a bed for him from Paradise; clothe him from Paradise; and open a door for him into Paradise. So some of its air and perfume will come to him; and a space will be made for him as far as the eye can see. He also mentioned the death of the infidel; saying: His spirit will be restored to his body; two angels will come to him; make him sit up and ask him: Who is your Lord? He will reply: Alas; alas! I do not know. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: Alas; alas! I do not know. They will ask: Who was the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: Alas; alas! I do not know. Then a crier will call from Heaven: He has lied; so spread a bed for him from Hell; clothe him from Hell; and open for him a door into Hell. Then some of its heat and pestilential wind will come to him; and his grave will be compressed; so that his ribs will be crushed together. Jabir version adds: One who is blind and dumb will then be placed in charge of him; having a sledge-hammer such that if a mountain were struck with it; it would become dust. He will give him a blow with it which will be heard by everything between the east and the west except by men and jinn; and he will become dust. He then said: Allah has appointed for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a special portion in the booty which he did not do for anyone. Allah; Most High; said: What Allah has bestowed on His Apostle and taken away from them - for this ye made no expedition with either cavalry or camelry. But Allah gives power to His apostles over any He pleases ; and Allah has power over all things. Allah bestowed the property of Banu AlNadir on His Apostle. I swear by Allah; he did not reserve it for himself; nor did he take it over and above you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to his share for his maintenance annually; or used to take his contribution and give his family their annual contribution from this property ; then take what remained and deal with it as he did with Allah property. He then turned towards those people and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that ? They said: Yes. He then turned towards Ali and AlAbbas and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that ? They said: Yes. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died; Abu Bakr said: I am the protector of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then you and this Ali came to Abu Bakr; demanding a share from the inheritance of your cousin; and this Ali demanding the share of his wife from the property of her father. Abu Bakr then said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We are not inherited. Whatever we leave is sadaqah. Allah knows that he Abu Bakr was true; faithful; rightly-guided; and the follower of Triuth. Abu Bakr then administered it property of the Prophet. When Abu Bakr died; I said: I am the protector of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr. So I administered whatever Allah wished. Then you and this Ali came. Both of you are at one; and your matter is the same. So they asked me for it property ; and I said: If you wish I give it to you on condition that you are bound by the covenant of Allah; meaning that you will administer it as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to administer. So you took it from me on that condition. Then again you have come to me so that I decide between you other than that. I swear by Allah; I shall not decide between you other than that till the Last Hour comes. If you helpless; return it to me.Abu Dawud said: They asked him for making it half between them; and not that they were ignorant of the fact the Prophet ﷺ said: We are not inherited. Whatever we leave is sadaqah alms. They were also seeking the truth. Umar then said: I do not apply the name of division to it ; It leave it on its former condition. | The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes And Charity in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Regarding Allocating A Special Portion For The Messenger Of Allah From Wealth in Sunan Abu Dawoud |

MuwataMalik-017-001-34272 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Abuz AlZubair AlMakki from Tawus AlYamani from Abdullah Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; used to say; when he rose for prayer in the middle of the night; O Allah; praise belongs to You. You are the light of the heavens and the earth and praise belongs toYou.You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and praise belongs to You. You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them. You are the Truth; and Your words are true. Your promise is true; and the meeting with You is true. The Garden is true and the Fire is true and the Hour is true. O Allah; I submit toYou and I accept You and I trust in You and I turn to You and I argue by You and I summon toYou for judgement. Forgive me what I have sent before me and what I have left behind; what I have kept secret and what I have proclaimed; You are my god - there is no god but You. MuwataMalik-017-001-34604 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Suhayl Ibn Abi Salih from his father from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; If Allah loves a slave; he says to Jibril; I love so-and-so; so love him; so Jibril loves him and then calls out to the people of heaven; Allah loves so-and-so; so love him; and the people of heaven love him; and then acceptance is placed in the Earth for him. When Allah is angry with a slave; Malik said; I consider that he says the like of that about His anger. | The Chapter on Love And Emotions Disbelieve Gabriel Heaven And Anger in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Judgements in Muwata Malik |
