But if ye are prevented (From completing it), send an offering for sacrifice, such as ye may find, and do not shave your heads until the offering reaches the place of sacrifice. And if any of you is ill, or has an ailment in his scalp, (Necessitating shaving), (He should) in compensation either fast, or feed the poor, or offer sacrifice; and when ye are in peaceful conditions (again), if any one wishes to continue the 'umra on to the hajj, He must make an offering, such as he can afford, but if he cannot afford it, He should fast three days during the hajj and seven days on his return, Making ten days in all. This is for those whose household is not in (the precincts of) the Sacred Mosque. And fear Allah, and know that Allah Is strict in punishment.

Allah Apostle ﷺ said: It is so; by Him in Whose Hand is my life She said: Allah Messenger; Abu Sufyan is a niggardly person. Is there any harm for me if I spend upon his children out of his wealth without his permission? Thereupon Allah Apostle ﷺ said: There is no harm for you if you spend upon them what is reasonable. SahihMuslim-017-001-17709		It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Prophet May be upon him said: Beware. every one of you is a shepherd and every one is answerable with regard to his flock. The Caliph is a shepherd over the people and shall be questioned about his subjects as to how he conducted their affairs. A man is a guardian over the members of his family and shal be questioned about them as to how he looked after their physical and moral well-being. A woman is a guardian over the household of her husband and his children and shall be questioned about them as to how she managed the household and brought up the children. A slave is a guardian over the property of his master and shall be questioned about it as to how he safeguarded his trust. Beware; every one of you is a guardian and every one of you shall be questioned with regard to his trust. SahihMuslim-017-001-18575		It is narrated on the authority of Abu Burda Bin Abu Mousa that Abu Mousa was afflicted with grave pain and he became unconscious and his head was in the lap of a lady of his household. One of the women of his household walled. He Abu Mousa was unable because of weakness to say anything to her. But when he was a bit recovered he said: I have no concern with one with whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has no concern; Verily the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has no concern with that woman who wails loudly; shaves her hair and tears her garment in grief. SahihMuslim-017-001-20634		Yazid Bin Hayan reported; I went along with Husain Bin Sabra and Umar Bin Muslim to Zaid Bin Arqam and; as we sat by his side; Husain said to him: Zaid. you have been able to acquire a great virtue that you saw Allah Messenger ﷺ listened to his talk; fought by his side in different battles; offered prayer behind me. Zaid; you have in fact earned a great virtue. Zaid; narrate to us what you heard from Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said: I have grown old and have almost spent my age and I have forgotten some of the things which I remembered in connection with Allah Messenger ﷺ ; so accept whatever I narrate to you; and which I do not narrate do not compel me to do that. He then said: One day Allah Messenger ﷺ stood up to deliver sermon at a watering place known as Khumm situated between Mecca and Medina. He praised Allah; extolled Him and delivered the sermon and. exhorted us and said: Now to our purpose. O people; I am a human being. I am about to receive a messenger the angel of death from my Lord and I; in response to Allah call; would bid good-bye to you ; but I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of Allah in which there is right guidance and light; so hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it. He exhorted us to hold fast to the Book of Allah and then said: The second are the members of my household I remind you of your duties to the members of my family. He Husain said to Zaid: Who are the members of his household? Arent his wives the members of his family? Thereupon he said: His wives are the members of his family but here the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. And he said: Who are they? Thereupon he said: Ali and the offspring of Ali; Aqil and the offspring of Aqil and the offspring of Jafar and the offspring of Abbas. SahihMuslim-017-001-20637		Yazid Bin Hayan reported: We went to him Zaid Bin Arqam and said to him. You have found goodness for you had the honour to live in the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ and offered prayer behind him; and the rest of the hadith is the same but with this variation of wording that lie said: Behold; for I am leaving amongst you two weighty things; one of which is the Book of Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; and that is the rope of Allah. He who holds it fast would be on right guidance and he who abandons it would be in error; and in this hadith these words are also found: We said: Who are amongst the members of the household? Arent the wives of the Holy Prophet included amongst the members of his house hold? Thereupon he said: No; by Allah; a woman lives with a man as his wife for a certain period; he then divorces her and she goes back to her parents and to her people; the members of his household include his ownself and his kith and kin who are related to him by blood and for him the acceptance of Zakat is prohibited. SahihMuslim-017-001-21135		Jabir Bin Abdullah reported: While I was sitting in my house there happened to pass by me Allah Messenger ﷺ. He made a gesture to me and I stood up for him. He took hold of my hand until we came to one of the apartments of his wives. He entered and then asked me to get in. So I entered and there was hanging a curtain beside her. He the Holy Prophet said: Is there any food with you ? They the members of the household said: Yes And then there were brought three loaves of bread for him the Holy Prophet and placed in the basket of palm leaves. Allah Messenger ﷺ picked up one loaf and placed that before him; and then picked up another one and placed it before me. He then picked up the third one and broke it into two parts; and kept the one-half before him and the other half before me; and then said: Is there any condiment? They the members of the household said: There is nothing in the form of condiment but some vinegar only. He said: Bring that; for vinegar is a good condiment. SahihMuslim-017-001-23378		Abdullah Bin Zaid-he who was shown the call for prayer in a dream narrated it on the authority of Abu Masud AlAnsari who said: We were sitting in the company of Saeed Bin Ubida when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us. Bashir Bin Sad said: Allah has commanded us to bless you. Messenger of Allah! But how should we bless you? He the narrator said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept quiet and we were so much perturbed over his silence that we wished we had not asked him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: For blessing me say: 0 Allah; bless Muhammad and the members of his household as Thou didst bless the mernbers of Ibrahim household. Grant favours to Muhammad and the members of his household as Thou didst grant favours to the members of the household of Ibrahim in the world.
