SunanAlTermithi-017-001-11125		AlHasan narrated that : Samurah said: there are two pauses that I preserved from Allah Messenger. But Imran Bin Hosain rejected that and said: We preserved one pause. So we wrote to Ubay Bin Kaab in AlMadinah. Ubay wrote that Samurah was correct. Saeed said: We said to Qatadah: What are those two pauses? He said: When he entered into his Prayer; and when he finished his recitation. Then he Qatadah said after that: And when he recited Nor those who went astray. And he said: He liked to pause when he finished the recitation until he caught his breath. He said: I say: Allahuma baid bayni wa bayna khatayaya kama baadta bayna Almashriqi Almaghrib; Allahumma naqqini min khatayaya kama yunaqqa AlThawb Alabyad min AlDanas; Allahumma ighsilni min khatayaya bil mai wa AlThalji Albarad. O Allah; put a great distance between me and my sins; as great as the distance You have made between the East and the West; O Allah; cleanse me of my sins as a white garment is cleansed from filth; O Allah; wash away my sins with water and snow and hail. When he came to a verse which spoke of mercy; he stopped and made supplication; and when he came to verse which spoke of punishment; he stopped and sought refuge in Allah; then he bowed and paused as long as he stood reciting Surah AlBaqarah ; and said while bowing; Glory be to the Possessor of greatness; the Kingdom; grandeur and majesty. :Then he prostrated himself and paused as long as he stood up and recited Surat Aal Imran Surah 3 and then recited many surahs one after another. He offered four rakahs of prayer and recited in them Surah AlBaqarah; Aal Imran; AlNisa; AlMaidah; or AlAnam. The narrator Shubah doubted.
