SahihMuslim-017-001-17983		Ibn aown reported: I wrote to Nafi inquiring from him whether it was necessary to extend to the disbelievers an invitation to accept Islam before meeting them in fight. He wrote in reply to me that it was necessary in the early days of Islam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made a raid upon Banu Mustaliq while they were unaware and their cattle were having a drink at the water. He killed those who fought and imprisoned others. On that very day; he captured Juwairiya bint AlHarith. Nafi said that this tradition was related to him by Abdullah Bin Umar who himself was among the raiding troops. SahihMuslim-017-001-18565		It is narrated on the authority of Usama Bin Zaid that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us in a raiding party. We raided Huraqat of Juhaina in the morning. I caught hold of a man and he said: There is no god but Allah; I attacked him with a spear. It once occurred to me and I talked about it to the Apostle ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Did he profess There is no god but Allah; and even then you killed him? I said: Messenger of Allah; he made a profession of it out of the fear of the weapon. He the Holy Prophet observed: Did you tear his heart in order to find out whether it had professed or not? And he went on repeating it to me till I wished I had embraced Islam that day. Saad said: By Allah; I would never kill any Muslim so long as a person with a heavy belly; i. e.; Usama; would not kill. Upon this a person remarked: Did Allah not say this: And fight them until there is no more mischief and religion is wholly for Allah? Saad said: We fought so that there should be no mischief; but you and your companions wish to fight so that there should be mischief. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29799		Salamah bin AlAkwa said Abdulrahman Bin Uyainah raided the Camels of the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ and killed their herdsman. He and some people who were with him on horses proceeded on driving them away. I turned my face towards Madeenah and shouted three times. A morning raid; I then went after the people shooting arrows at them and hamstringing them their beasts. When a horseman returned to me; I sat in the foot of a tree till there was no riding beast of the Prophet ﷺ created by Allaah which I had not kept behind my back. They threw away more than thirty lance and thirty cloaks to lighten themselves. Then Uyainah came to them with reinforcement and said A few of you should go to him. Four of them stood and came to me. They ascended a mountain. Then they came near me till they could hear my voice. I told them Do you know me? They said Who are you? I replied I am Ibn AlAkwa. By Him Who honored the face of Muhammad ﷺ if any man of you pursues he cannot catch me and if I pursue him; I will not miss him. This went on with me till I saw the horsemen of the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ coming through the trees. AlAkhram AlAsadi was at their head. He then joined Abdulrahman Bin Uyainah and Abdulrahman turned over him. They attacked each other with lances. AlAkhram hamstrung Abd AlRahmans horse and Abdulrahman pierced a lance in his body and killed him. Abdulrahman then returned on the horse of AlAkhram. I then came to the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ who was present at the same water from where I drove them away and which is known as Dhu Qarad. The Prophet ﷺ was among five hundred people. MuwataMalik-017-001-35418		Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Umar Ibn Abd AlAziz wrote to one of his governors; It has been passed down to us that when the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; sent out a raiding party; he would say to them; Make your raids in the name of Allah in the way of Allah. Fight whoever denies Allah. Do not steal from the booty; and do not act treacherously. Do not mutilate and do not kill children. Say the same to your armies and raiding parties; Allah willing. MuwataMalik-017-001-35448		Yahya related to me from Malik from Ishaq Ibn Abdullah Ibn Abi Talha that Anas Ibn Malik had said that when the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; went to Quba; he visited Umm Haram bint Milhan and she fed him. Umm Haram was the wife of Ubada Ibn AlSamit. One day the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; had called on her and she had fed him; and sat down to delouse his hair. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; had dozed and woke up smiling. Umm Haram said; What is making you smile; Messenger of Allah? He said; Some of my community were presented to me; raiding in the way of Allah. They were riding in the middle of the sea; kings on thrones; or like kings on thrones. Ishaq wasnt sure. She said; O Messenger of Allah! Ask Allah to put me among them! So he had made a dua for her; and put his head down and slept. Then he had woken up smiling; and she said to him; Messenger of Allah; why are you smiling? He said; Some of my community were presented to me; raiding in the way of Allah. They were kings on thrones or like kings on thrones; as he had said in the first one. She said; O Messenger of Allah! Ask Allah to put me among them! He said; You are among the first. Ishaq added; She travelled on the sea in the time of Muawiya; and when she landed; she was thrown from her mount and killed.
