SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6661 | Narrated Abu Burda: Abu Mousa said; I was with the Prophet ﷺ when he was encamping at AlJarana a place between Mecca and Medina and Bilal was with him. A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said; Wont you fulfill what you have promised me? The Prophet ﷺ said; Rejoice at what I will do for you. The bedouin said; You have said to me rejoice too often. Then the Prophet ﷺ turned to me i.e. Abu Mousa and Bilal in an angry mood and said; The bedouin has refused the good tidings; so you both accept them. Bilal and I said; We accept them. Then the Prophet ﷺ asked for a drinking bowl containing water and washed his hands and face in it; and then took a mouthful of water and threw it therein saying to us ; Drink some of it and pour some over your faces and chests and be happy at the good tidings. So they both took the drinking bowl and did as instructed. Umm Salamah called from behind a screen; Keep something of the water for your mother. So they left some of it for her. | The Chapter on Drinks And Sharayah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Ghazwa of AtTaif in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6670 | Narrated Anas Bin Malik: When it was the day of the battle of Hunain; the tributes of Hawazin and Ghatafan and others; along with their animals and offspring and wives came to fight against the Prophet ﷺ The Prophet ﷺ had with him; ten thousand men and some of the Tulaqa. The companions fled; leaving the Prophet ﷺ alone. The Prophet then made two calls which were clearly distinguished from each other. He turned right and said; O the group of Ansar! They said; Labbaik; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Rejoice; for we are with you! Then he turned left and said; O the group of Ansar! They said; Labbaik! O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Rejoice; for we are with you! The Prophet ﷺ at that time; was riding on a white mule; then he dismounted and said; I am Allah Slave and His Apostle. The infidels then were defeated; and on that day the Prophet ﷺ gained a large amount of booty which he distributed amongst the Muhajirin and the Tulaqa and did not give anything to the Ansar. The Ansar said; When there is a difficulty; we are called; but the booty is given to other than us. The news reached the Prophet ﷺ and he gathered them in a leather tent and said; What is this news reaching me from you; O the group of Ansar? They kept silent; He added; O the group of Ansar! Wont you be happy that the people take the worldly things and you take Allah Messenger ﷺ to your homes reserving him for yourself? They said; Yes. Then the Prophet said; If the people took their way through a valley; and the Ansar took their way through a mountain pass; surely; I would take the Ansar mountain pass. Hisham said; O Abu Hamza i.e. Anas ! Did you witness that? He replied; And how could I be absent from him? | The Chapter on Alansar And Valleys And Mountains in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Ghazwa of AtTaif in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6882 | Narrated Alqama Bin Waqqas: Marwan said to his gatekeeper; Go to Ibn Abbas; O Rafi; and say; If everybody who rejoices in what he has done; and likes to be praised for what he has not done; will be punished; then all of us will be punished. Ibn Abbas said; What connection have you with this case? It was only that the Prophet ﷺ called the Jews and asked them about something; and they hid the truth and told him something else; and showed him that they deserved praise for the favor of telling him the answer to his question; and they became happy with what they had concealed. Then Ibn Abbas recited:- And remember when Allah took a Covenant from those who were given the Scripture..and those who rejoice in what they have done and love to be praised for what they have not done. 3.187-188 Humaid Bin Abdulrahman Bin Auf narrated that Marwan had told him the above narration. | The Chapter on Glory And Praise To Allah In Recitation in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari |

SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9891 | Narrated Humaid Bin Abdulrahman Bin Awuf : that Marwan Bin AlHakam said: Go O Rafi - who was his gate-keeper - to Ibn Abbas and say to him: If every person who rejoices with what he has done; and loves to be praised for what he has not done; will be punished; then we will all be punished. So Ibn Abbas said: This Ayah has got nothing to do with you. This was only revealed about the People of the Book. Then Ibn Abbas recited: When Allah took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture to make it known and clear to mankind... 3:187 and he recited: Think not that those who rejoice in what they have done; and love to be praised for what they have not done... 3:188 Ibn Abbas said: The Prophet ﷺ asked them about something; and they concealed it; and told him about something else. So they left wanting him to think that they informed him about what he asked them; and wanting to be praised for that by him; and they were rejoicing over what they had concealed; and the fact that they were asked about it. | The Chapter on Recitations Of Mercy Suras in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Chapters on Tafsir in Sunan AlTermithi |

SunanAlNasai-017-001-15189 | Abu Huraira said: The Messenger of Allah said: Allah says Every deed of the son of Adam is for him; except fasting; it is for me and I shall reward for it. Fasting is a shield. If any one of you is fasting; let him no utter obscene talk or raise his voice in anger; and if anyone insults him or wants to fight; let him say: I am fasting. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad; the smell coming from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast he rejoices at breaking his fast and when he meets his Lord; the Mighty and Sublime; he will rejoice at having fasted. | The Chapter on Fragrances And Reward in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Mentioning the Different Reports from Abu Salih in this Narration in Sunan AlNasai
SunanAlNasai-017-001-16249 | It was narrated from Abu Huraira that the Prophet said: When the believer is dying; the angels of mercy come to him with white silk and sya: Come out content and with the pleasure of Allah upon you to the mercy of Allah; fragrance and a Lord Who is not angry; So it comes out like the best fragrance of musk. They pass him from one to another until they bring him to the gate of heaven; where they say: ; How good is this fragrance that has come to you from the Earth! Then the souls of the believers come to him and they rejoice more over him than any one of you rejoices when his absent loved one comes to him. They ask him: What happened to so-and-so; what happened to so-and-so? They say: Let him be; for he was in the hardship of the world. When he says; Did he not come here? They say: He was taken to the pit of Hell. Come out discontent; subject of Divine wrath; to the punishment of Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; So it comes out like the foulest stench of a corpse. They bring him to the gates of the Earth; where they say: How foul is this stench! Then they bring him to the souls of the disbelievers. | The Chapter on Fragrances And The Heart in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Honor with which the Believer is Met when his soul Comes out in Sunan AlNasai |
