SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1141 | Narrated Mabad Bin Hilal AlAnzi: We; i.e.; some people from Basra gathered and went to Anas Bin Malik; and we went in company with Thabit AlBunnani so that he might ask him about the Hadith of Intercession on our behalf. Behold; Anas was in his palace; and our arrival coincided with his Duha prayer. We asked permission to enter and he admitted us while he was sitting on his bed. We said to Thabit; Do not ask him about anything else first but the Hadith of Intercession. He said; O Abu Hamza! There are your brethren from Basra coming to ask you about the Hadith of Intercession. Anas then said; Muhammad talked to us saying; On the Day of Resurrection the people will surge with each other like waves; and then they will come to Adam and say; Please intercede for us with your Lord. He will say; I am not fit for that but youd better go to Abraham as he is the Khalil of the Beneficent. They will go to Abraham and he will say; I am not fit for that; but youd better go to Moses as he is the one to whom Allah spoke directly. So they will go to Moses and he will say; I am not fit for that; but youd better go to Jesus as he is a soul created by Allah and His Word. Be: And it was they will go to Jesus and he will say; I am not fit for that; but youd better go to Muhammad. They would come to me and I would say; I am for that. Then I will ask for my Lord permission; and it will be given; and then He will inspire me to praise Him with such praises as I do not know now. So I will praise Him with those praises and will fall down; prostrate before Him. Then it will be said; O Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for your will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; my followers! My followers! And then it will be said; Go and take out of Hell Fire all those who have faith in their hearts; equal to the weight of a barley grain. I will go and do so and return to praise Him with the same praises; and fall down prostrate before Him. Then it will be said; O Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; my followers! My followers! It will be said; Go and take out of it all those who have faith in their hearts equal to the weight of a small ant or a mustard seed. I will go and do so and return to praise Him with the same praises; and fall down in prostration before Him. It will be said; O; Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; my followers! Then He will say; Go and take out all those in whose hearts there is faith even to the lightest; lightest mustard seed. Take them out of the Fire. I will go and do so. When we left Anas; I said to some of my companions; Let pass by AlHasan who is hiding himself in the house of Abi Khalifa and request him to tell us what Anas Bin Malik has told us. So we went to him and we greeted him and he admitted us. We said to him; O Abu Said! We came to you from your brother Anas Bin Malik and he related to us a Hadith about the intercession the like of which I have never heard. He said; What is that? Then we told him of the Hadith and said; He stopped at this point of the Hadith. He said; What then? We said; He did not add anything to that. He said; Anas related the Hadith to me twenty years ago when he was a young fellow. I dont know whether he forgot or if he did not like to let you depend on what he might have said. We said; O Abu Saeed ! Let us know that. He smiled and said; Man was created hasty. I did not mention that; but that I wanted to inform you of it. Anas told me the same as he told you and said that the Prophet ﷺ added; I then return for a fourth time and praise Him similarly and prostrate before Him me the same as he O Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request : and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; allow me to intercede for whoever said; None has the right to be worshiped except Allah. Then Allah will say; By my Power; and my Majesty; and by My Supremacy; and by My Greatness; I will take out of Hell Fire whoever said: None has the right to be worshipped except Allah. | The Chapter on Allah And Prophets Praise And Prostration in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Talk of the Lord to the Prophets and others on the Day of Resurrection in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1520 | Narrated Abu Burda: Abu Mousa said; I came to the Prophet ﷺ along with two men from the tribe of Ashariyin; one on my right and the other on my left; while Allah Messenger ﷺ was brushing his teeth with a Siwak ; and both men asked him for some employment. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Abu Mousa O Abdullah Bin Qais!. I said; By Him Who sent you with the Truth; these two men did not tell me what was in their hearts and I did not feel realize that they were seeking employment. As if I were looking now at his Siwak being drawn to a corner under his lips; and he said; We never or; we do not appoint for our affairs anyone who seeks to be employed. But O Abu Mousa! or Abdullah Bin Qais! Go to Yemen. The Prophet then sent Muadh Bin Jabal after him and when Muadh reached him; he spread out a cushion for him and requested him to get down and sit on the cushion. Behold: There was a fettered man beside Abu Muisa. Muadh asked; Who is this man ? Abu Muisa said; He was a Jew and became a Muslim and then reverted back to Judaism. Then Abu Muisa requested Muadh to sit down but Muadh said; I will not sit down till he has been killed. This is the judgment of Allah and His Apostle for such cases and repeated it thrice. Then Abu Mousa ordered that the man be killed; and he was killed. Abu Mousa added; Then we discussed the night prayers and one of us said; I pray and sleep; and I hope that Allah will reward me for my sleep as well as for my prayers. | The Chapter on Jihad And Livestock in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on AlMurtad and AlMurtaddah in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2266 | Narrated Anas: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Allah will gather all the people on the Day of Resurrection and they will say; Let us request someone to intercede for us with our Lord so that He may relieve us from this place of ours. Then they will go to Adam and say; You are the one whom Allah created with His Own Hands; and breathed in you of His soul; and ordered the angels to prostrate to you; so please intercede for us with our Lord. Adam will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and will remember his sin; and will say; Go to Noah; the first Apostle sent by Allah They will go to him and he will say; I am not fit for this undertaking; and will remember his sin and say; Go to Abraham whom Allah took as a Khalil. They will go to him and request similarly. He will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and will remember his sin and say; Go to Moses to whom Allah spoke directly. They will go to Moses and he will say; I am not fit for this undertaking; and will remember his sin and say; Go to Jesus. They will go to him; and he will say; I am not fit for this undertaking; go to Muhammad as Allah has forgiven his past and future sins. They will come to me and I will ask my Lord permission; and when I see Him; I will fall down in prostration to Him; and He will leave me in that state as long as He Allah will; and then I will be addressed. Raise up your head O Muhammad ! Ask; and your request will be granted; and say; and your saying will be listened to; intercede; and your intercession will be accepted. Then I will raise my head; and I will glorify and praise my Lord with a saying i.e. invocation He will teach me; and then I will intercede; Allah will fix a limit for me i.e.; certain type of people for whom I may intercede ; and I will take them out of the Hell Fire and let them enter Paradise. Then I will come back to Allah and fall in prostration; and will do the same for the third and fourth times till no-one remains in the Hell Fire except those whom the Quran has imprisoned therein. The sub-narrator; Qatada used to say at that point;...those upon whom eternity in Hell has been imposed. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2592 | Narrated Aisha: the wife of the Prophet that she was told that Abdullah Bin AlZubair on hearing that she was selling or giving something as a gift said; By Allah; if Aisha does not give up this; I will declare her incompetent to dispose of her wealth. I said; Did he Abdullah Bin AlZubair say so? They people said; Yes. Aisha said; I vow to Allah that I will never speak to Ibn AlZubair. When this desertion lasted long; Abdullah Bin AlZubair sought intercession with her; but she said; By Allah; I will not accept the intercession of anyone for him; and will not commit a sin by breaking my vow. When this state of affairs was prolonged on Ibn AlZubair he felt it hard on him ; he said to AlMiswar Bin Makhrama and Abdulrahman Bin AlAswad Bin Abu Yaghuth; who were from the tribe of Bani Zahra; I beseech you; by Allah; to let me enter upon Aisha; for it is unlawful for her to vow to cut the relation with me. So AlMiswar and Abdulrahman wrapping their sheets around themselves; asked Aisha permission saying; Peace and Allah Mercy and Blessings be upon you! Shall we come in? Aisha said; Come in. They said; All of us? She said; Yes; come in all of you; not knowing that Ibn AlZubair was also with them. So when they entered; Ibn AlZubair entered the screened place and got hold of Aisha and started requesting her to excuse him; and wept. AlMiswar and Abdulrahman also started requesting her to speak to him and to accept his repentance. They said to her ; The Prophet ﷺ forbade what you know of deserting not speaking to your Muslim Brethren ; for it is unlawful for any Muslim not to talk to his brother for more than three nights days. So when they increased their reminding her of the superiority of having good relation with Kith and kin; and of excusing others sins ; and brought her down to a critical situation; she started reminding them; and wept; saying; I have made a vow; and the question of vow is a difficult one. They AlMiswar and Abdulrahman persisted in their appeal till she spoke with Abdullah Bin AlZubair and she manumitted forty slaves as an expiation for her vow. Later on; whenever she remembered her vow; she used to weep so much that her veil used to become wet with her tears. | The Chapter on Obligations Towards Expiatory in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on AlHijra in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3095 | Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah: There was a Jew in Medina who used to lend me money up to the season of plucking dates. Jabir had a piece of land which was on the way to Ruma. That year the land was not promising; so the payment of the debt was delayed one year. The Jew came to me at the time of plucking; but gathered nothing from my land. I asked him to give me one year respite; but he refused. This news reached the Prophet ﷺ whereupon he said to his companions; Let us go and ask the Jew for respite for Jabir. All of them came to me in my garden; and the Prophet ﷺ started speaking to the Jew; but he Jew said; O Abu Qasim! I will not grant him respite. When the Prophet ﷺ saw the Jew attitude; he stood up and walked all around the garden and came again and talked to the Jew; but the Jew refused his request. I got up and brought some ripe fresh dates and put it in front of the Prophet. He ate and then said to me; Where is your hut; O Jabir? I informed him; and he said; Spread out a bed for me in it. I spread out a bed; and he entered and slept. When he woke up; I brought some dates to him again and he ate of it and then got up and talked to the Jew again; but the Jew again refused his request. Then the Prophet ﷺ got up for the second time amidst the palm trees loaded with fresh dates; and said; O Jabir! Pluck dates to repay your debt. The Jew remained with me while I was plucking the dates; till I paid him all his right; yet there remained extra quantity of dates. So I went out and proceeded till I reached the Prophet and informed him of the good news; whereupon he said; I testify that I am Allah Messenger ﷺ. | The Chapter on Food And Trees in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The eating of a spadix of the palm tree in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4768 | Narrated Urwa from Aisha: The wives of Allah Messenger ﷺ were in two groups. One group consisted of Aisha; Hafsa; Safiya and Sauda; and the other group consisted of Umm Salamah and the other wives of Allah Messenger ﷺ. The Muslims knew that Allah Messenger ﷺ loved Aisha; so if any of them had a gift and wished to give to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; he would delay it; till Allah Messenger ﷺ had come to Aisha home and then he would send his gift to Allah Messenger ﷺ in her home. The group of Umm Salamah discussed the matter together and decided that Umm Salamah should request Allah Messenger ﷺ to tell the people to send their gifts to him in whatever wife house he was. Umm Salamah told Allah Messenger ﷺ of what they had said; but he did not reply. Then they those wives asked Umm Salamah about it. She said; He did not say anything to me. They asked her to talk to him again. She talked to him again when she met him on her day; but he gave no reply. When they asked her; she replied that he had given no reply. They said to her; Talk to him till he gives you a reply. When it was her turn; she talked to him again. He then said to her; Do not hurt me regarding Aisha; as the Divine Inspirations do not come to me on any of the beds except that of Aisha. On that Umm Salamah said; I repent to Allah for hurting you. Then the group of Umm Salamah called Fatima; the daughter of Allah Messenger ﷺ and sent her to Allah Messenger ﷺ to say to him; Your wives request to treat them and the daughter of Abu Bakr on equal terms. Then Fatima conveyed the message to him. The Prophet ﷺ said; O my daughter! Dont you love whom I love? She replied in the affirmative and returned and told them of the situation. They requested her to go to him again but she refused. They then sent Zainab bint Jahsh who went to him and used harsh words saying; Your wives request you to treat them and the daughter of Ibn Abu Quhafa on equal terms. On that she raised her voice and abused Aisha to her face so much so that Allah Messenger ﷺ looked at Aisha to see whether she would retort. Aisha started replying to Zainab till she silenced her. The Prophet ﷺ then looked at Aisha and said; She is really the daughter of Abu Bakr. | The Chapter on Enemies And Groups And Household in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Chosing the to give a gift in Sahih AlBukhari

So; I plucked the fruits for him after the departure of Allah Apostle and gave his thirty Awsuq; and still had seventeen Awsuq extra for myself. Jabir said: I went to Allah Messenger ﷺ to inform of what had happened; but found him praying the Asr prayer. After the prayer I told him about the extra fruits which remained. SahihMuslim-017-001-17703 | It has been reported on the authority of Abu Mousa who said: I went to the Prophet ﷺ and with me were two men from the Ashari tribe. One of them was on my right hand and the other on my left. Both of them made a request for a position of authority while the Prophet ﷺ was brushing his teeth with a tooth-stick. He said to me : Abu Mousa or Abdullah Bin Qais ; what do you say about the request they have made ? I said: By God Who sent thee on thy mission with truth; they did not disclose to me what they had in their minds; and I did not know that they would ask for a position. The narrator says while recalling this hadith : I visualise as if I were looking at the miswak of the Prophet ﷺ between his lips. He the Holy Prophet said: We shall not or shall never appoint to the public offices in our State those who with to have them; but you may go; Abu Mousa or Abdullah Bin Qais to take up your assignment. He sent him to Yemen as governor. then he sent Muadh Bin jabal in his wake to help him in the discharge of duties. When Muadh reached the camp of Abu Mousa; the latter received him and said: Please get yourself down; and he spread for him a mattress; while there was a man bound hand and foot as a prisoner. Muadh said: Who is this? Abu Mousa said: He was a Jew. He embraced Islam. Then he reverted to his false religion and became a Jew. Muadh said: I wont sit until he is killed according to the decree of Allah and His Apostle ﷺ in this case. Abu Mousa said: Be seated. It will be done. He said: I wont sit unless he is killed in accordance with the decree of Allah and His Apostle ﷺ. He repeated these words thrice. Then Abu Mousa ordered him to be killed and he was kilied. Then the two talked of standing in prayer at night. One of them; i. e. Muadh; said: I sleep for a part of the night and stand in prayer for a part and I hope that I shall get the same reward for steeping as I shall get for standing in prayer. | The Chapter on Jihad And Alhajj in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 3 in Sahih Muslim |
