SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2198		Narrated Hudhaifa: Allah Messenger ﷺ narrated to us two narrations; one of which I have seen happening and I am waiting for the other. He narrated that honesty was preserved in the roots of the hearts of men in the beginning and then they learnt it honesty from the Quran; and then they learnt it from the Prophets Sunna tradition. He also told us about its disappearance; saying; A man will go to sleep whereupon honesty will be taken away from his heart; and only its trace will remain; resembling the traces of fire. He then will sleep whereupon the remainder of the honesty will also be taken away from his heart and its trace will resemble a blister which is raised over the surface of skin; when an ember touches one foot; and in fact; this blister does not contain anything. So there will come a day when people will deal in business with each other but there will hardly be any trustworthy persons among them. Then it will be said that in such-and-such a tribe there is such-and-such person who is honest; and a man will be admired for his intelligence; good manners and strength; though indeed he will not have belief equal to a mustard seed in his heart. The narrator added: There came upon me a time when I did not mind dealing with anyone of you; for if he was a Muslim; his religion would prevent him from cheating; and if he was a Christian; his Muslim ruler would prevent him from cheating; but today I cannot deal except with so-and-so and so-and-so. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2880		Narrated Ikrima: Rifaa divorced his wife whereupon Abdulrahman Bin AlZubair AlQurazi married her. Aisha said that the lady came ; wearing a green veil and complained to her Aisha of her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating. It was the habit of ladies to support each other; so when Allah Messenger ﷺ came; Aisha said; I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes! When Abdulrahman heard that his wife had gone to the Prophet; he came with his two sons from another wife. She said; By Allah! I have done no wrong to him but he is impotent and is as useless to me as this; holding and showing the fringe of her garment; Abdulrahman said; By Allah; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! She has told a lie! I am very strong and can satisfy her but she is disobedient and wants to go back to Rifaa. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; to her; If that is your intention; then know that it is unlawful for you to remarry Rifaa unless Abdulrahman has had sexual intercourse with you. Then the Prophet ﷺ saw two boys with Abdulrahman and asked him ; Are these your sons? On that Abdulrahman said; Yes. The Prophet ﷺ said; You claim what you claim i.e.. that he is impotent ? Why does a child resemble its father; and why does it resemble its maternal uncle Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Gabriel has just now told me of their answers. Abdullah said; He i.e. Gabriel ; from amongst all the angels; is the enemy of the Jews. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; The first portent of the Hour will be a fire that will bring together the people from the east to the west; the first meal of the people of Paradise will be Extra-lobe caudate lobe of fish-liver. As for the resemblance of the child to its parents: If a man has sexual intercourse with his wife and gets discharge first; the child will resemble the father; and if the woman gets discharge first; the child will resemble her. On that Abdullah Bin Salam said; I testify that you are the Messenger of Allah. Abdullah Bin Salam further said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The Jews are liars; and if they should come to know about my conversion to Islam before you ask them about me ; they would tell a lie about me. The Jews came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abdullah went inside the house. Allah Apostle asked the Jews ; What kind of man is Abdullah Bin Salam amongst you? They replied; He is the most learned person amongst us; and the best amongst us; and the son of the best amongst us. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; What do you think if he embraces Islam will you do as he does ? The Jews said; May Allah save him from it. Then Abdullah Bin Salam came out in front of them saying; I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah. Thereupon they said; He is the evilest among us; and the son of the evilest amongst us; and continued talking badly of him. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4911		Narrated Aisha: Utba Bin Abi Waqqas authorized his brother Saad Bin Abi Waqqas to take the son of the slave-girl of Zama into his custody; telling him that the boy was his own illegal son. When Allah Messenger ﷺ went to Mecca at the time of the Conquest; Saad took the son of the slave-girl of Zama to Allah Messenger ﷺ and also brought Abu Bin Zama with him and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is the son of my brother Utba who authorized me to take him into my custody. Abu Bin Zama said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He is my brother; the son of Zama slave-girl and he was born on his bed. Allah Messenger ﷺ looked at the son of the slave-girl of Zama and noticed much resemblance to Utba. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; It is for you; O Abu Bin Zama as he was born on the bed of your father. Allah Messenger ﷺ then told Sauda bint Zama to observe veil in the presence of the boy as he noticed the boy resemblance to Utba and Sauda was the wife of the Prophet ﷺ. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5487		Narrated Aisha: Saad Bin Abi Waqqas and Abu Bin Zama quarreled over a boy. Saad said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This boy is the son of my brother Utba Bin Abi Waqqas who took a promise from me that I would take him as he was his illegal son. Look at him and see whom he resembles. Abu Bin Zama said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is my brother and was born on my father bed from his slave-girl. Allah Apostle cast a look at the boy and found definite resemblance to Utba and then said; The boy is for you; O Abu Bin Zama. The child goes to the owner of the bed and the adulterer gets nothing but the stones despair; i.e. to be stoned to death. Then the Prophet ﷺ said; O Sauda bint Zama! Screen yourself from this boy. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6640		Narrated Aisha: Utba Bin Abi Waqqas authorized his brother Saad to take the son of the slave-girl of Zama into his custody. Utba said to him. He is my son. When Allah Messenger ﷺ arrived in Mecca during the Conquest of Mecca ; Saad Bin Abi Waqqas took the son of the slave-girl of Zama and took him to the Prophet ﷺ Abd Bin Zama too came along with him. Saad said. This is the son of my brother and the latter has informed me that he is his son. Abd Bin Zama said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is my brother who is the son of the slave-girl of Zama and was born on his i.e. Zamas bed. Allah Apostle looked at the son of the slave-girl of Zama and noticed that he; of all the people had the greatest resemblance to Utba Bin Abi Waqqas. Allah Messenger ﷺ then said to Abd ; He is yours; he is your brother; O Abd Bin Zama; he was born on the bed of your father. At the same time Allah Messenger ﷺ said to his wife Sauda ; Veil yourself before him i.e. the son of the slave-girl O Sauda; because of the resemblance he noticed between him and Utba Bin Abi Waqqas. Allah Apostle added; The boy is for the bed i.e. for the owner of the bed where he was born ; and stone is for the adulterer. Ibn Shihab said; Abu Huraira used to say that i.e. the last statement of the Prophet in the above Hadith 596; publicly. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6799		Narrated Anas: Abdullah Bin Salam heard the news of the arrival of Allah Messenger ﷺ at Medina while he was on a farm collecting its fruits. So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and said; I will ask you about three things which nobody knows unless he be a prophet. Firstly; what is the first portent of the Hour? What is the first meal of the people of Paradise? And what makes a baby look like its father or mother?. The Prophet ﷺ said; Just now Gabriel has informed me about that. Abdullah said; Gabriel? The Prophet ﷺ said; Yes. Abdullah said; He; among the angels is the enemy of the Jews. On that the Prophet ﷺ recited this Holy Verse:- Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel let him die in his fury! for he has brought it i.e. Quran down to your heart by Allah permission. 2.97 Then he added; As for the first portent of the Hour; it will be a fire that will collect the people from the East to West. And as for the first meal of the people of Paradise; it will be the caudite i.e. extra lobe of the fish liver. And if a man discharge proceeded that of the woman; then the child resembles the father; and if the woman discharge proceeded that of the man; then the child resembles the mother. On hearing that; Abdullah said; I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; and that you are the Messenger of Allah; O; Allah Messenger ﷺ ; the Jews are liars; and if they should come to know that I have embraced Islam; they would accuse me of being a liar. In the meantime some Jews came to the Prophet and he asked them; What is Abdullah status amongst you? They replied; He is the best amongst us; and he is our chief and the son of our chief. The Prophet ﷺ said; What would you think if Abdullah Bin Salam embraced Islam? They replied; May Allah protect him from this! Then Abdullah came out and said; I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. The Jews then said; Abdullah is the worst of us and the son of the worst of us; and disparaged him. On that Abdullah said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is what I was afraid of! Then Allah raised it Bait AlMaqdis before my eyes. I looked towards it; and I gave them the information about whatever they questioned me I also saw myself among the group of apostles. I saw Moses saying prayer and found him to be a well-built man as if he was a man of the tribe of Shanua. I saw Jesus son of Mary ﷺ offering prayer; of all of men he had the closest resemblance with Urwa Bin Masud AlThaqafi. I saw Ibrahim ﷺ offering prayer; he had the closest resemblance with your companion the Prophet himself amongst people. When the time of prayer came I led them. When I completed the prayer; someone said: Here is Malik; the keeper of the Hell; pay him salutations. I turned to him; but he preceded me in salutation. Abd Bin Zama said Messenger of Allah; he is my brother as he was born on the bed of my father from his slave-girl. Allah Messenger ﷺ looked at his resemblance and found a clear resemblance with Utba. But he said: He is yours O Abd Bin Zama ; for the child is to be attributed to one on whose bed it is born; and stoning for a fornicator. Sauda bint Zama; O you should observe veil from him. SahihMuslim-017-001-22055		Abu Harb Bin Abu AlAswad reported on the authority of his father that Abu Mousa AlAshari sent for the reciters of Basra. They came to him and they were three hundred in number. They recited the Quran and he said: You are the best among the inhabitants of Basra; for you are the reciters among them. So continue to recite it. But bear in mind that your reciting for a long time may not harden your hearts as were hardened the hearts of those before you. We used to recite a surah which resembled in length and severity to Surah Baraat. I have; however; forgotten it with the exception of this which I remember out of it: If there were two valleys full of riches; for the son of Adam; he would long for a third valley; and nothing would fill the stomach of the son of Adam but dust. And we used so recite a surah which resembled one of the surahs of Mousabbihat; and I have forgotten it; but remember this much out of it: Oh people who believe; why do you say that which you do not practise lxi 2. and that is recorded in your necks as a witness against you and you would be asked about it on the Day of Resurrection xvii. 13. SahihMuslim-017-001-22583		Anas Bin Malik reported that Umm Sulaim narrated it that she asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a woman who sees in a dream what a man sees sexual dream. The Messenger of Allah may peace be upon bi m said: In case a woman sees that; she must take a bath. Umm Sulaim said: I was bashful on account of that and said: Does it happen? Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Yes it does happen ; otherwise how can a child resemble her? Man discharge i. e. sperm is thick and white and the discharge of woman is thin and yellow; so the resemblance comes from the one whose genes prevail or dominate. He the Holy Prophet said: Yes. Aisha said to her: May your hand be covered with dust and injured. She narrated: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Leave her alone. In what way does the child resemble her but for the fact that when the genes contributed by woman prevail upon those of man; the child resembles the maternal family; and when the genes of man prevail upon those of woman the child resembles the paternal family. He said: He is for you; O Abd! The child is the bed and for the fornicator is the stone. Veil yourself from him; O Sawdah bint Zamah. And he never saw Sawdah again. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25035		Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas: Abd Yazid; the father of Rukanah and his brothers; divorced Umm Rukanah and married a woman of the tribe of Muzaynah. She went to the Prophet ﷺ and said: He is of no use to me except that he is as useful to me as a hair; and she took a hair from her head. So separate me from him. The Prophet ﷺ became furious. He called on Rukanah and his brothers. He then said to those who were sitting beside him. Do you see so-and-so who resembles Abdu Yazid in respect of so-and-so; and so-and-so who resembles him in respect of so-and-so? They replied: Yes. The Prophet ﷺ said to Abdu Yazid: Divorce her. Then he did so. He said: Take your wife; the mother of Rukanah and his brothers; back in marriage. He said: I have divorced her by three pronouncements; Messenger of Allah. He said: I know: take her back. He then recited the verse: O Prophet; when you divorce women; divorce them at their appointed periods.Abu Dawud said: The tradition narrated by Nafi Bin Ujair and Abdullah Bin Yazid Bin Rukanah from his father on the authority of his grandfather reads: Rukanah divorced his wife absolutely i.e. irrevocable divorce. The Prophet ﷺ restored her to him. This version is sounder than other versions ; for they i.e. these narrators are the children of his man; and the members of the family are more aware of his case. Rukanah divorced his wife absolutely i.e. three divorces in one pronouncement and the Prophet ﷺ made it a single divorce. Khalid gave us some additional information on the authority of Ibn Rashid: That unintentional murder which resembles intentional murder means that Satan jumps among the people and then the blood is shed blindly without any malice and weapon.
