The Jew said; By Him Who gave superiority to Moses over all the people! On that the Muslim lifted his hand and slapped the Jew. The Jew went to Allah Messenger ﷺ and informed him of all that had happened between him and the Muslim. The Prophet ﷺ said; Do not give me superiority over Moses; for the people will fall unconscious on the Day of Resurrection; I will be the first to regain consciousness and behold; Moses will be standing there; holding the side of the Throne. I will not know whether he has been one of those who have fallen unconscious and then regained consciousness before me; or if he has been one of those exempted by Allah from falling unconscious. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3801		Narrated Anas: When the news of the arrival of the Prophet ﷺ at Medina reached Abdullah Bin Salam; he went to him to ask him about certain things; He said; I am going to ask you about three things which only a Prophet can answer: What is the first sign of The Hour? What is the first food which the people of Paradise will eat? Why does a child attract the similarity to his father or to his mother? The Prophet ﷺ replied; Gabriel has just now informed me of that. Ibn Salam said; He i.e. Gabriel is the enemy of the Jews amongst the angels. The Prophet ﷺ said; As for the first sign of The Hour; it will be a fire that will collect the people from the East to the West. As for the first meal which the people of Paradise will eat; it will be the caudate extra lobe of the fish-liver. As for the child; if the man discharge proceeds the woman discharge; the child attracts the similarity to the man; and if the woman discharge proceeds the mans; then the child attracts the similarity to the woman. On this; Abdullah Bin Salam said; I testify that None has the right to be worshipped except Allah; and that you are the Messenger of Allah. and added; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Jews invent such lies as make one astonished; so please ask them about me before they know about my conversion to I slam. The Jews came; and the Prophet ﷺ said; What kind of man is Abdullah Bin Salam among you? They replied; The best of us and the son of the best of us and the most superior among us; and the son of the most superior among us. The Prophet ﷺ said; What would you think if Abdullah Bin Salam should embrace Islam? They said; May Allah protect him from that. The Prophet ﷺ repeated his question and they gave the same answer. Then Abdullah came out to them and said; I testify that None has the right to be worshipped except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah! On this; the Jews said; He is the most wicked among us and the son of the most wicked among us. So they degraded him. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4209		Narrated Abu Huraira: Once while a Jew was selling something; he was offered a price that he was not pleased with. So; he said; No; by Him Who gave Moses superiority over all human beings! Hearing him; an Ansari man got up and slapped him on the face and said; You say: By Him Who Gave Moses superiority over all human beings although the Prophet Muhammad is present amongst us! The Jew went to the Prophet and said; O Abu AlQasim! I am under the assurance and contract of security; so what right does so-and-so have to slap me? The Prophet ﷺ asked the other; Why have you slapped. He told him the whole story. The Prophet ﷺ became angry; till anger appeared on his face; and said; Dont give superiority to any prophet amongst Allah Prophets; for when the trumpet will be blown; everyone on the earth and in the heavens will become unconscious except those whom Allah will exempt. The trumpet will be blown for the second time and I will be the first to be resurrected to see Moses holding Allah Throne. I will not know whether the unconsciousness which Moses received on the Day of Tur has been sufficient for him; or has he got up before me. And I do not say that there is anybody who is better than Yunus Bin Matta. Bilal replied; I had some inferior type of dates and exchanged two Sas of it for one Sa of Barni dates in order to give it to the Prophet; to eat. Thereupon the Prophet ﷺ said; Beware! Beware! This is definitely Riba usury ! This is definitely Riba Usury ! Dont do so; but if you want to buy a superior kind of dates sell the inferior dates for money and then buy the superior kind of dates with that money. Bilal said: We had inferior quality of dates and I exchanged two sa of inferior quality with one sa of fine quality as food for Allah Apostle ﷺ ; whereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Woe! it is in fact usury; therefore; dont do that. But when you intend to buy dates of superior quality ; sell the inferior quality in a separate bargain and then buy the superior quality. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9140		Narrated Qais Bin Kathir: A man from AlMadinah came to Abu AlDarda when he was in Dimashq. So he said: What brings you O my nephew? He replied: A Hadith reached me which you have narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: You did not come for some need? He said: No. He said: Did you come for trade? He said: No; I did not come except seeking this Hadith. So he said: Indeed; I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: Whoever takes a path upon which he seeks knowledge; then Allah makes a path to Paradise easy for him. And indeed the angels lower their wings in approval to the one seeking knowledge. Indeed forgiveness is sought for the knowledgeable one by whomever is in the heavens and whomever is in the earth; even the fish in the waters. And superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the rest of the celestial bodies. Indeed the scholars are the heirs of the Prophets; and the Prophets do not leave behind Dinar or Dirham. The only legacy of the scholars is knowledge; so whoever takes from it; then he has indeed taken the most able share.
