Then a few camels of war booty were brought to Allah Messenger and he asked about us saying Where are the AlAshariyin He then ordered five nice camels to be given to us and when we had departed we said What have we done Allah Messenger had taken the oath not to give us any mounts and that he had nothing to mount us on and later he gave us that we might ride Did we take advantage of the fact that Allah Messenger had forgotten his oath By Allah we will never succeed
  7. By Allah if I take an oath to do something and then find something else better than it I do that which is better and make expiation for the dissolution of the oath

The Prophet added A forenoon journey or an after noon journey in Allah Cause is better than the whole world and whatever is in it and a place equal to an arrow bow of anyone of you or a place equal to a foot in Paradise is better than the whole world and whatever is in it and if one of the women of Paradise looked at the earth she would fill the whole space between them the earth and the heaven with light and would fill whatever is in between them with perfume and the veil of her face is better than the whole world and whatever is in it
  9. Whenever the Prophet went to a patient he used to say to him Dont worry if Allah will it will be expiation for your sins The bedouin said You say expiation No it is but a fever that is boiling or harassing an old man and will lead him to his grave without his will
  10. Umar woke up and then Abu Bakr sat by the side of the Prophet head and started saying Toknz allah akbar takbir phrases raising his voice till the Prophet woke up and after traveling for a while he dismounted and led us in the morning prayer

  18. Then he would say I entrust to Allah your religion and your trusts and the last of your deeds Astawdiullaha dinaka wa amanataka wa khawatima amalik

So I said Indeed there is some doubt in my chest concerning wiping over the Khuff after defecation and urination and you were a man from the Companions of the Prophet so I came to you to ask you Have you heard him mention anything concerning that He said Yes he used to order us that when we were travelers or in travel to not remove our Khuff for three days and nights except from sexual impurity but not from defecation urination and sleep

Zirr said He did not cease reporting to me until he had reported that Allah the Mighty and Sublime has appointed a gate in the west its width is the distance of a seventy year journey for repentance it shall not be locked until the sun rises from its direction and that is the Statement of Allah Blessed be He and Most High of the Ayah The Day some of the signs of your Lord come no soul shall be benefited by its believing

It was narrated that Jabir Bin Abdullah said The Messenger of Allah said I have been given five things that were not given to anyone before me I have been supported with fear being struck into the hearts of my enemy for a distance of one month travel the earth has been made a place of prostration and a means of purification for me so wherever a man of my Ummah is when the time for prayer comes let him pray I have been given the intercession which was not given to any Prophet before me and I have been sent to all of mankind whereas the Prophets before me were sent to their own people
  26. It was narrated that Aishah said The first time the Salah was enjoined it was two Rakahs and it remained as such when traveling but the Salah while resident was made complete
  27. It was narrated from Hammad and Qatadah concerning a man who said to another man I will lease something from you until I reach Makkah for such and such a payment and if I travel for a month or such and such something that he named I will give you such and such in addition

We said O Messenger of Allah Shall we not tell the people about it so that they may rejoice He said In Paradise there are one hundred levels the distance between each two of which is like the distance between the Heaven and the Earth Allah has prepared them fro the Mujahidin who strive in His cause
  30. Were it not that it would be too difficult for the believers and I cannot find mounts for them and they do not like to stay behind if I go out on a campaign I would not have stayed behind from any expedition
  31. He said Do you know what Allah has waived for the traveler he said Do you know what Allah has waived for the traveler I said What has Allah waived for the traveler He said Fasting and half of the prayer
  32. It was narrated that Abu Saeed said We were traveling with the Prophet and among us were some who were fasting and some who were not criticize those who were not and those who were not fasting did not criticize those who were

Abu Saeed AlKhudri reported While we were with the Messenger of Allah on a journey a person came upon his mount and began to stare on the right and on the left it was at this moment that Allah Messenger said He who has an extra mount should give that to one who has no mount for him and he who has surplus of provisions should give them to him who has no provisions and he made mention of so many kinds of wealth until we were of the opinion that none of us has any right over the surplus

It has also been narrated by Saad Bin Abu Burda through his father through his grandfather that the Prophet of Allah sent him and Muadh on a mission to the Yemen and said by way of advising them Show leniency to the people dont be hard upon them give them glad tidings of Divine favours in this world and the Hereafter and do not create aversion
  35. The narrator said that he the bedouin set off at the conclusion of this answer but at the time of his departure remarked By Him Who sent you with the Truth I would neither make any addition to them nor would I diminish anything out of them

Abu Saeed AlKhudri Allah be pleased with him reported Allah Messenger as saying It is not lawful for a woman believing in Allah and the Hereafter to undertake journey extending over three days or more except when she is in the company of her father or her son or her husband or her brother or any other Mahram
  39. Ibn Abbas Allah be pleased with them reported I heard Allah Messenger delivering a sermon and making this observation No person should be alone with a woman except when there is a Mahram with her and the woman should not undertake journey except with a Mahram
  40. A person stood up and said Allah Messenger my wife has set out for pilgrimage whereas I am enlisted to fight in such and such battle whereupon he said You go and perform Hajj with your wife

Ibn Umar Allah be pleased with them reported that whenever Allah Messenger mounted his camel while setting out on a journey he glorified Allah uttered Allah o Akbar thrice and then said Hallowed is He Who subdued for us this ride and we were not ourselves powerful enough to use It as a ride and we are going to return to our Lord
  42. So he who did like it omitted prayer in sleep or due to other unavoidable circumstances should say prayer when he becomes aware of it and on the next day he should observe it at its prescribed time

The camel was then raised up and we forty thirsty men drank water till we were completely satiated and we filled up all leathern water bags and water skins that we had with us and we washed our companions but we did not make any camel drink and the leathern water bags were about to burst on account of excess of water
  45. Abu Dawud said Ibn Umar reported the Messenger of Allah May peace be upon him As saying The Muslims will soon be besieged up to Madina so that their most distant frontier outpost will be Salah
  46. He said If anyone likes to see the fellow travellers most resembling to the Companions of the Messenger of Allah he should see them
  47. Narrated Abu Musa I heard the Prophet many times say When a servant of Allah is accustomed to do a good work then becomes ill or goes on journey what was accustomed to do when he was well and staying at home will be recorded for him

  51. It wasnarrated that Aswad said They said in Aishas presencethatAli was appointed by the Prophet before he died and shesaid When was he appointed He the Prophet was restingagainst my bosom or in my lap and he called for a basin then hebecame limp in my lap and died and I did not realize it
  52. As for the ropereaching up into heaven itis the truth that you are following youtook hold of it and rose withit then another man till take hold ofit after you and rise with you then another who will rise with it then another but it will breakand then he reconnected then he willrise with it
  53. Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Said ibnal Musayyab said Abu Bakr as Siddiq used to pray witr when he wishedto go to bed and Umar ibn al Khattab used to pray witr at the end ofthe night
  54. If his situation differs fromthis because the sale transaction is recent and he sees that theseller has concealed the price in order to sever his right of pre emption the value of the land is estimated and he buys the land forthat price by his right of pre emption
  55. The jew said to him We find that there is nojudge who judges correctly but that there is an angel on his rightside and an angel on his left side who guide him and give him successin the truth as long as he is with the truth
  56. Malik said Brothers written together in thesame kitaba are in the same position as children to each other whennone of them have children written in the kitaba or born in thekitaba
  57. Abdullah ibn az Zubayr said tome She is not haram for you so return to your home and he wroteto Jabir ibn al Aswad az Zuhra who was the Amir of Madina and orderedhim to punish Abdullah ibn Abdar Rahman and to have him leave me andmy family alone
  58. Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Bakr ibnAbd ar Rahman ibn al Harith ibn Hisham from Abu Masud al Ansari thatthe Messenger of Allah may Allah bless him and grant him peace forbade the sale price of a dog the earnings of a prostitute and theearnings of a fortune teller
  59. Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Amra bintAbd ar Rahman that A isha the wife of the Prophet may Allah blesshim and grant him peace said If the Messenger of Allah may Allahbless him and grant him peace had seen what women do now he wouldhave forbidden them to go into the mosques just as the women of theBani Israil were forbidden
