  It was narrated from Amr Bin Awuf ; who was an ally of Banu Amir Bin Louai and was present at the battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ; that the Messenger of Allah sent Ubaidah Bin Jarrah to Bahrain to collect the Jizyah; and the Prophet had made a treaty with the people of Bahrain; and he appointed as their governor Ala Bin Hadrami. Abu Ubaidan came with the wealth from Bahrain and the Ansar heard that Abu Ubaidah had come; so they attended the Fajr prayer with the Messenger of Allah. When the Messenger of Allah had prayed; he went away; so they intercepted him. The Messenger of Allah smiled when he saw them; then he said: I think you have heard that Abu Ubaidah has brought something from Bahrain? They said: Yes; O Messenger of Allah. He said: Be of good cheer and hope for that which will make you happy. By Allah; I do not fear poverty for you; rather I fear that you will enjoy ease and plenty like those who came before you; and that you will compete with one another as they did; and you will be destroyed as they were.

Whoever claims to belong to someone other than his father; or a freed slave who claims that his Wala is for other than his Mavali; upon him will be the curse of Allah; the angels and all the people; and no charge nor equitable exchange will be accepted from him.   It was narrated from Amr Bin Maimun from Abdullah Bin Rubayah AlSulami; who was also one of the Companions of Allah Messenger from Ubaid Bin Khalid AlSulami; that: the Messenger of Allah established the bond of brotherhood between two men. One of them was killed and the other died after him. We offered the funeral prayer for him; and the Prophet said: What did you say? They said: O Allah; forgive him; O Allah; have mercy on him; O Allah; join him with his companion. The Prophet said: Where is his Salah in comparison to his companion Salah?   It was narrated from Amr Bin Malik AlJanbi that he heard Fadalah Bin Ubaid say: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: I am a Zaim - and the Zaim is the guarantor - for the one who believes in me and accepts Islam; and emigrates: A house on the outskirts of Paradise and a house in the middle of Paradise. And I am a guarantor; for the one who believes in me and accepts Islam; and strives in the cause of Allah: A house on the outskirts of Paradise and a house in the middle of Paradise and a house in the highest chambers of Paradise. Whoever does that and seeks goodness wherever it is; and avoids evil wherever it is; may die wherever he wants to die.

Their mother died and her sons inherited her houses and the Wala of her freed slaves. Amr Bin As took them out to Sham; and they died of the plague of Amwas. Amr inherited from them; and he was their Asabah.* When Amr came back; Banu Mamar came to him and they referred their dispute with him concerning the Wala of their sister to Umar. Umar said: I will judge between you according to what I heard from the Messenger of Allah. I heard him say: What the son or father acquires goes to his. Asabah; no matter who they are. So he ruled in our favour and wrote a document to that effect; in which was the testimony of Abdulrahman Bin Awuf ; Zaid Bin Thabit and someone else. Then when Abd AlMalik Bin Marwan was appointed caliph; a freed slave of hers Umm Wails died; leaving behind two thousand Dinar. I heard that that ruling had been changed; so they referred the dispute to Hisham Bin Ismail. We referred the matter to Abd AlMalik; and brought him the document of Umar. He said: I thought that this was a ruling concerning which there was no doubt. I never thought that the people of AlMadinah would reach such a state that they would doubt this ruling. So he ruled in our favour; and it remained like that afterwards.
