She Aisha said: I made a mention of that to Allah Apostle ﷺ and he said: Buy her and emancipate her; for verily the right of inheritance vests with one who emancipates. She said that she emancipated her and Allah Messenger ﷺ gave her the option either to retain her matrimonial alliance or break it after emancipation. She taking advantage of the option opted for herself the severing of matrimonial alliance. Aisha said: The people used to give her charity and she gave us that as gift. I made a mention of it to Allah Apostle ﷺ ; whereupon he said: That is charity for her but gift for you; so take that.

He said: Abdullah Ibn Umar divorced his wife while she was menstruating during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.So Umar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: Abdullah Ibn Umar divorced his wife while she was menstruating. Abdullah said: He returned her to me and did not count it the pronouncement anything. He said: When she is purified; he may divorce her or keep her with him. Ibn Umar said: The Prophet ﷺ recited the Quranic verse: O Prophet; when you divorce women; divorce them in the beginning of their waiting period.Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been narrated by Yunus Bin Jubair; Anas Bin Seereen Bin Jubair; Zaid Bin Aslam; Abu AlZubair and Mansur from Abu Wail on the authority of Ibn Umar. They all agreed on the theme that the Prophet ﷺ commanded him to take her back and keep her till she was purified. Then if he desired; he might divorce her or keep her with him if he wanted to do so. The version narrated by AlZuhri from Salim from Nafi on the authority of Ibn Umar has: The Prophet ﷺ commanded him to take her back and keep her till she is purified; and then has menstrual discharge; and then she is purified. Then if he desires; he may divorce her and if he desires he may keep her.Abu Dawud said: A version like that of Nafi and AlZuhri has also been transmitted by Ata AlKhurasani from AlHasan on the authority of Ibn Umar. All the versions of this tradition contradict the one narrated by Abu AlZubair.

    AbdusSalam Ibn Abu Hazim Abu Talut said: I saw Abu Barzah who came to visit Ubaydullah Ibn Ziyad. Then a man named Muslim who was there in the company mentioned it to me. When Ubaydullah saw him; he said: This Muhammad of yours is a dwarf and fat. The old man i.e. Abu Barzah understood it. So he said: I dont think that I should remain among people who criticize me for having had the company of Muhammad ﷺ. Thereupon Ubaydullah said to him: The company of Muhammad ﷺ is a honour for you; not a disgrace. He added: I called for you to ask about the Haud reservoir or cistern. Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say anything about it? Abu Barzah said: Yes; not once; twice; thrice; four times or five times. Whoever disbelieves in it; may Allah not supply him with water from it. He then went away angrily.

    Abi Qilabah reported: I was in Syria having a circle of friends. in which was Muslim Bin Yasir. There came Ab AlAshath. He the narrator said that they the friends called him: Ab AlAshath; Ab AlAshath; and he sat down. I said to him: Narrate to our brother the hadith of Ubada Bin Samit. He said: Yes. We went out on an expedition; Muawiya being the leader of the people; and we gained a lot of spoils of war. And there was one silver utensil in what we took as spoils. Muawiya ordered a person to sell it for payment to the people soldiers. The people made haste in getting that. The news of this state of affairs reached Ubada Bin Samit; and he stood up and said: I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ forbidding the sale of gold by gold; and silver by silver; and wheat by wheat; and barley by barley; and dates by dates; and salt by salt; except like for like and equal for equal. So he who made an addition or who accepted an addition committed the sin of taking interest. So the people returned what they had got. This reached Muawiya. and he stood up to deliver an address. He said: What is the matter with people that they narrate from the Messenger ﷺ such tradition which we did not hear though we saw him the Holy Prophet and lived in his company? Thereupon; Ubida Bin Samit stood up and repeated that narration; and then said: We will definitely narrate what we heard from Allah Messenger ﷺ though it may be unpleasant to Muawiya or he said: Even if it is against his will. I do not mind if I do not remain in his troop in the dark night. Hammad said this or something like this.

Then she put her hand on the front of her head and wiped her head once; front to back. Then she rubbed her ears with her hands; then she passed her hands over her cheeks.Salim said: I came to her as a slave with a contract of manumission; and she did not hide herself from me. She would sit before me and talk to me; until I came to her one day and said: Pray for blessing for me; O Mother of Believers. She said: Why is that? I said: Allah has set me free. She said: May Allah bless you. Then she lowered the Hijab before me; and I never saw her again after that day.
