I Burda said: Allah Messenger; give us a religious verdict about two kinds of drinks which we prepare in Yemen. One is Bit which is prepared from honey; it is a fermented Nabidh and is strong and turns into wine; and the second is Mizr which is prepared from millet and barley. Thereupon; Allah Messenger ﷺ ; who had been gifted with the most eloquent and pithy expressions; said: I forbid you from every intoxicant that keeps you away from prayer.

    Abu Burda reported on the authority of his father that when Allah Apostle ﷺ had been free from the Battle of Hunain; he sent Abu Amir as the head of the army of Autas. He had an encounter with Duraid Bin as_Simma. Duraid was killed and Allah gave defeat to his friends. Abu Mousa said: He the Holy Prophet sent me along with Abu Amir and Abu Amir received a wound in his knee from the arrow; shot by a person of Bani Jusham. It stuck in his knee. I went to him and said: Uncle; who shot an arrow upon you? Abu Amir pointed out to Abu Mousa and said: Verily that one who shot an arrow upon me in fact killed me. Abu Mousa said: I followed him with the determination to kill him and overtook him and when he saw me he turned upon his heels. I followed him and I said to him: Dont you feel ashamed that you run ; arent you an Arab? Why dont you stop? He stopped and I had an encounter with him and we exchanged the strokes of swords. I struck him with the sword and killed him. Then I came back to Abu Amir and said: Verily Allah has killed the one who killed you. And he said: Now draw out this arrow. I drew out the arrow and there came out from that wound water. Abu Amir said: My nephew; go to Allah Messenger ﷺ and convey my greetings to him and tell him that Abu Amir begs you to ask forgiveness for him. And Abu Amir appointed me as the chief of the people and he died after a short time. When I came to Allah Apostle ﷺ I visited him and he had been lying on the cot woven by strings and there was no bed over it and so there had been marks of the strings on the back of Allah Messenger ﷺ and on his sides. I narrated to him what had happened to us and narrated to him about Abu Amir and said to him that he had made a request to the effect that forgiveness should be sought for him from Allah. Thereupon Allah Messenger may peace be. upon him called for water and performed ablution with it. He then lifted his hands and said. O Allah; grant pardon to Thy servant Abu Amir. The Prophet had raised his hands so high for supplication that I saw the whiteness of his armpits. He again said: O Allah; grant him distinction amongst the majority of Thine created beings or from amongst the people. I said: Allah Messenger; ask forgiveness for me too. Thereupon Allah Apostle ﷺ said: Allah; forgive the sins of Abdullah Bin Qais Abu Mousa Ashari and admit him to an elevated place on the Day of Resurrection. Abu Burda said: One prayer is for abu Amir and the other is tor Abu Mousa.

    Abu Burda reported on the authority of his father: We offered the sunset prayer along with Allah Apostle ﷺ. We then said: If we sit along with Allah Messenger and observe night prayer with him it would be very good; so we sat down and he came to us and said: You are still sitting here. I said: Allah Messenger; we observed evening prayer with you; then we said: Let us sit down and observe night prayer along with you; whereupon he said: You have done well or you have done right. He then lifted his head towards the sky and it often happened that as he lifted his head towards the sky; he said: The stars are a source of security for the sky and when the stars disappear there comes to the sky; i. e. it meets the same fate as it has been promised it would plunge into darkness. And I am a source of safety and security to my Companions and when I would go away there would fall to the lot of my Companions as they have been promised with and my Companions are a source of security for the Umma and as they would go there would fall to the lot of my Umma as its people have been promised.

    Abu Burda reported on the authority of his grandfather that Allah Messenger ﷺ sent him and Muadh Bin Jabal to Yemen and said to them: Give good tidings to the people. and make things easy for them ; teach them ; and do not repel them ; and I think he also said: Cooperate cheerfully with each other. When he the Holy Prophet turned his back; Abu Mousa returned to him and said: Allah Messenger; they the people of Yemen have a drink which is made from honey and which is prepared by cooking it until it coagulates; and Mizr is prepared from barley; whereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Every intoxicant that detains you from prayer is forbidden.

Then she sneezed and he Fadl Bin Abbas said: May Allah have mercy upon you. I came back to my mother and informed her about it; and when he came to her she said: My son sneezed in your presence and you did not say: Allah may have mercy upon you; and she sneezed and you said for her: May Allah have mercy upon you. Thereupon he said: Your son sneezed but he did not praise Allah and I did not beg mercy of Allah for him and she sneezed and she praised Allah and so I said: May Allah have mercy upon you; as I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: When any one of you sneezes he should praise Allah and the other should say: May Allah have mercy upon you; and if he does not praise Allah; no mercy should be begged for him.

And a man who has a beautiful slave girl; so he teaches her good manners; then he frees her; then he married her seeking the Face of Allah by that; then he will be given his reward twice. And a man who believed in an earlier Book; then another Book came to him and he believed in it; then he will be given his reward twice.

Bothe of them asked him for employment. The prophet ﷺ was silent. He asked : What do you say Abu Mousa; or Abdullah Bin Qais Abu Mousas name ? I replied: By him who has sent you with truth; they did not inform me of what they had in their hearts; and I did not know that they would ask for an employment. He said : I have the scene before my eyes that he had his toothstick below his lip which receded. He the prophet said: We will never or will not put in charge of our work anyone who asks for it. But go; ye; Abu Mousa; or Abdullah Bin Qais. He then sent him as a Governor of the Yemen; After him he sent Muadh Bin Jabal. When Muadh came to him; he said: come down ; and he put a cushion for him. He saw that a man was chained with him. He asked : What is this? He replied: He was a Jew and he accepted Islam. He then converted to his religion; an evil religion. He said: I will not sit until he is killed according to the decision of Allah and his Apostle ﷺ. He said: Yes; be seated. He said: I will not sit until he is killed according to the decision of Allah and his Apostle ﷺ. He said it three times. He then commanded for it and he was killed. Both of them then discussed the question of prayer and vigilance at night. One of them; probably Muadh; said : So far as I am concerned; I sleep and I keep vigilance: I keep vigilance and I sleep: I hope for the same reward for my sleep as for my vigilance.

The way of the mountain was narrow and she said to that dromedary : Go ahead but that dromedary did not move. She that slave-girl ; out of anger; said: O Allah; let that dromedary be damned. Thereupon Allah Apostle ﷺ said: Let the dromedary on which the curse has been invoked not proceed with us.

Ahmad Bin Salih and Muhammad Bin Yahya narrated this is the version of Ahmad bin Salih from Abd Ar Razzaq from Mamar from AlZuhri from Abu Salamah din Abdulrahman Bin Awuf and Muhammad Bin Abdulrahman Bin Thawban from Muhammad Bin Iyas that Ibn Abbas; Abu Huraira and Abd Alah Bin Amr Bin AlAs were asked about a virgin who is divorced three times by her husband. They all said She is not lawful for him until she marries a man other than her former husband.Abu Dawud said Malik narrated from Yahya Bin Said from Bukair Bin AlAshajj from Muawiyah Bin Abi Ayash who was present on this occasion when Muhammad Bin Iyas Bin AlBukair came to Ibn AlZubair and Aasi m in Umar. He asked them about this matter. They replied Go to Ibn Abbas and Abu Huraira; I have left them with Aisha may Allaah be pleased with her. He then narrated the rest of the tradition.Abu Dawud said The statement of Ibn Abbas goes The divorce by three pronouncements separates the wife from husband whether the marriage has been consummated or not; the previous husband is not lawful for her until she marries a man other than her husband. This statement is like the tradition which deals with the exchange of money. In this tradition the narrator said Ibn Abbas withdrew his opinion.

Then he returned and performed the second prostration and they also prostrated with him as quickly as possible; showing no slackness in quick prostration. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then uttered the salutation. After that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up. Thus everyone participated in the entire prayer.

If the first of you and the last of you; the living among you and the dead among you; the fresh among you and the dry among you were to gather together to help the heart with the most Taqwa among My slaves; that would not add a mosquito wing to My sovereignty. If the first of you and the last of you; the living among you and the dead among you; the fresh among you and the dry among you were to gather together to help the worst heart of My slaves; that would not diminish a mosquito wing to My sovereignty. ll forgive him; without concern for Me and it will not affect Me. If the first of you and the last of you; the living among you and the dead among you; the fresh among you and the dry among you were to gather together upon one plateau; and each person among them were to ask for his utmost desire; and I were to give each what he asked for; that would not diminish from My sovereignty; except as if one of you were to pass by an ocean and dip a needle into it and then remove it. That is because I am the Most Liberal without need; the Most Generous; doing as I will. I give by My speech and I punish by My speech; whenever I will something I only say: Be and it shall be.

And; a group of people who traveled the night until when sleep became more beloved to them than all the things that equal it and they lay their heads down; but a man stoop up humbling himself to Me and reciting My Ayat. And a man who was in a small expedition and met the enemy and they were vanquished; yet he faced them until he was killed or victory was granted to him. And the three whom Allah hates are; the old man who commits adultery; the arrogant poor man; and the oppressive rich man.

  • Abu Dharr narrated that: The Messenger of
    Abu Dharr narrated that: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever says at the end of every Fajr prayer; while his feet are still folded; before speaking: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; Alone without partner; to Him belongs all that exists; and to Him is the praise; He gives life and causes death; and He is powerful over all things; La ilaha illallah; wadahu la sharika lahu; lah Almulku wa lah Alamdu; yuyi wa yumitu; wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadir ten times; then ten good deeds shall be written for him; ten evil deeds shall be wiped away from him; ten degrees shall be raised up for him; and he shall be in security all that day from every disliked thing; and he shall be in protection from Shaitan; and no sin will meet him or destroy him that day; except for associating partners with Allah.

  • Abu Dharr narrated that: the Messenger of
    Abu Dharr narrated that: the Messenger of Allah said: There is no now owner of camels; sheeps or cattle who does not pay Zakat on them; but they will come on the Day of Resurrection as big and as fat as they ever were; butting him with their horns and trampling him with their hooves. Every time the of them has passed; the first of them will come back to him; until judgment is passed upon the people.

  • Abu Dharr narrated: Allah Messenger was on
    Abu Dharr narrated: Allah Messenger was on a journey and Bilal was with him. So he wanted to call for the prayer; but he the Prophet said: Let it get cooler. Then he wanted to call for the prayer; so Allah Messenger said: Let it get to the cooler time of Zuhr. He i.e.; Abu Dharr said: Until we saw the shadows of the hillocks; then he commanded that the Iqamah be called and then led the people in prayer. Allah Messenger said: The severity of heat is from the raging of Hell; so wait until it becomes cooler for the Zuhr prayer.
