Once; while Umar was sitting; a handsome man passed by him; Umar said; If I am not wrong; this person is still on his religion of the pre-lslamic period of ignorance or he was their foreteller. Call the man to me. When the man was called to him; he told him of his thought. The man said; I have never seen such a day on which a Muslim is faced with such an accusation. Umar said; I am determined that you should tell me the truth. He said; I was a foreteller in the pre-lslamic period of ignorance. Then Umar said; Tell me the most astonishing thing your female Jinn has told you of. He said; One-day while I was in the market; she came to me scared and said; Havent you seen the Jinns and their despair and they were overthrown after their defeat and prevented from listening to the news of the heaven so that they stopped going to the sky and kept following camel-riders i.e. Arabs ? Umar said; He is right. and added; One day while I was near their idols; there came a man with a calf and slaughtered it as a sacrifice for the idols. An unseen creature shouted at him; and I have never heard harsher than his voice. He was crying; O you bold evil-doer! A matter of success! An eloquent man is saying: None has the right to be worshipped except you O Allah. On that the people fled; but I said; I shall not go away till I know what is behind this. Then the cry came again: O you bold evil-doer! A matter of success! An eloquent man is saying: None has the right to be worshipped except Allah. I then went away and a few days later it was said; A prophet has appeared.later it was said; A prophet has appeared. +

Again I said; The prayer is due. He said; Go on; till we covered two or three miles. Then he got down; prayed and said; I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying in this way; whenever he was in a hurry during the journey. Abdullah bin Umar added; Whenever the Prophet was in a hurry; he used to delay the Maghrib prayer and then offer three rakat of the Maghrib and perform Taslim; and after waiting for a short while; Iqama used to be pronounced for the Isha prayer when he would offer two rakat and perform Taslim. He would never offer any optional prayer till the middle of the night when he used to pray the Tahajjud.e night when he used to pray the Tahajjud. +

They replied; We blacken their faces with coal and beat them; He said; Dont you find the order of AlRajm i.e. stoning to death in the Torah? They replied; We do not find anything in it. Abdullah Bin Salam after hearing this conversation said to them. You have told a lie! Bring here the Torah and recite it if you are truthful. So the Jews brought the Torah. And the religious teacher who was teaching it to them; put his hand over the Verse of AlRajm and started reading what was written above and below the place hidden with his hand; but he did not read the Verse of AlRajm. Abdullah Bin Salam removed his i.e. the teachers hand from the Verse of AlRajm and said; What is this? So when the Jews saw that Verse; they said; This is the Verse of AlRajm. So the Prophet ﷺ ordered the two adulterers to be stoned to death; and they were stoned to death near the place where biers used to be placed near the Masjid. I saw her companion i.e. the adulterer bowing over her so as to protect her from the stones.her so as to protect her from the stones. +

When he lifted his hand; the Verse of Rajm was written there. They said; Muhammad has told the truth; the Torah has the Verse of Rajm. The Prophet ﷺ then gave the order that both of them should be stoned to death. Zaid Bin Amr used to criticize the way Quraish used to slaughter their animals; and used to say; Allah has created the sheep and He has sent the water for it from the sky; and He has grown the grass for it from the earth; yet you slaughter it in other than the Name of Allah. He used to say so; for he rejected that practice and considered it as something abominable.and considered it as something abominable. +

A big rock rolled down from the mountain and closed the mouth of the cave. They said to each other; Think of good deeds which you did for Allah sake only; and invoke Allah by giving reference to those deeds so that He may remove this rock from you. One of them said; O Allah! I had old parents and small children and I used to graze the sheep for them. On my return to them in the evening; I used to milk the sheep and start providing my parents first of all before my children. One day I was delayed and came late at night and found my parents sleeping. I milked the sheep as usual and stood by their heads. I hated to wake them up and disliked to give milk to my children before them; although my children were weeping because of hunger at my feet till the day dawned. O Allah! If I did this for Your sake only; kindly remove the rock so that we could see the sky through it. So; Allah removed the rock a little and they saw the sky. The second man said; O Allah! I was in love with a cousin of mine like the deepest love a man may have for a woman. I wanted to outrage her chastity but she refused unless I gave her one hundred Dinars. So; I struggled to collect that amount. And when I sat between her legs; she said; O Allah slave! Be afraid of Allah and do not deflower me except rightfully by marriage. So; I got up. O Allah! If I did it for Your sake only; please remove the rock. The rock shifted a little more. Then the third man said; O Allah! I employed a laborer for a Faraq of rice and when he finished his job and demanded his right; I presented it to him; but he refused to take it. So; I sowed the rice many time till I gathered cows and their shepherd from the yield. Then after some time He came and said to me; Fear Allah and give me my right. I said; Go and take those cows and the shepherd. He said; Be afraid of Allah! Dont mock at me. I said; I am not mocking at you. Take all that. So; he took all that. O Allah! If I did that for Your sake only; please remove the rest of the rock. So; Allah removed the rock.t of the rock. So; Allah removed the rock. +

Bilal and Uthman Bin Talha were accompanying him. When he made his camel kneel down near the Kaba; he said to Uthman; Get us the key of the Kaba. He brought the key to him and opened the gate of the Kaba ; for him. The Prophet; Usama; Bilal and Uthman bin Talha entered the Kaba and then closed the gate behind them from inside. The Prophet ﷺ stayed there for a long period and then came out. The people rushed to get in; but I went in before them and found Bilal standing behind the gate; and I said to him; Where did the Prophet ﷺ pray? He said; He prayed between those two front pillars. The Kaba was built on six pillars; arranged in two rows; and he prayed between the two pillars of the front row leaving the gate of the Kaba at his back and facing in prayer the wall which faces one when one enters the Kaba. Between him and that wall was the distance of about three cubits. But I forgot to ask Bilal about the number of rakat the Prophet ﷺ had prayed. There was a red piece of marble at the place where he i.e. the Prophet had offered the prayer.e i.e. the Prophet had offered the prayer. +
