    Narrated Abu Huraira: When Khaibar was conquered; Allah Messenger ﷺ was presented with a poisoned roasted sheep. Allah Apostle said; Collect for me all the Jews present in this area. When they were gathered Allah Apostle said to them; I am going to ask you about something; will you tell me the truth? They replied; Yes; O Abal-Qasim! Allah Messenger ﷺ said to them; Who is your father? They said; Our father is so-and-so. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; You have told a lie. for your father is so-and-so; They said; No doubt; you have said the truth and done the correct thing. He again said to them; If I ask you about something; will you tell me the truth? They replied; Yes; O Abal-Qasim! And if we should tell a lie you will know it as you have known it regarding our father; Allah Messenger ﷺ then asked; Who are the people of the Hell Fire? They replied; We will remain in the Hell Fire for a while and then you Muslims will replace us in it Allah Messenger ﷺ said to them. You will abide in it with ignominy. By Allah; we shall never replace you in it at all. Then he asked them again; If I ask you something; will you tell me the truth? They replied; Yes. He asked. Have you put the poison in this roasted sheep? They replied; Yes; He asked; What made you do that? They replied; We intended to learn if you were a liar in which case we would be relieved from you; and if you were a prophet then it would not harm you.

Abu Bakr said; By Allah! I will fight whoever differentiates between prayers and Zakat as Zakat is the right to be taken from property according to Allah Orders. By Allah! If they refused to pay me even a kid they used to pay to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; I would fight with them for withholding it. Umar said; By Allah: It was nothing; but I noticed that Allah opened Abu Bakr chest towards the decision to fight; therefore I realized that his decision was right.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: When the Prophet ﷺ finished two rakahs of an obligatory prayer; a man asked him: Messenger of Allah; has the prayer been shortened; or have you forgotten? he replied: I did not do all that. The people said: Messenger of Allah; you did that. Therefore; he offered another two rakahs or prayer and did not make two prostrations due to forgetfulness.Abu Dawud said: This tradition has also been narrated by Dawud AlHussain from Abu Sufyan; freed slave of Ibn Abi Ahmad on the authority of Abu Huraira from the Prophet ﷺ.     Narrated Abu Huraira: When we conquered Khaibar; we gained neither gold nor silver as booty; but we gained cows; camels; goods and gardens. Then we departed with Allah Messenger ﷺ to the valley of AlQira; and at that time Allah Messenger ﷺ had a slave called Midam who had been presented to him by one of Banu AlDibbab. While the slave was dismounting the saddle of Allah Messenger ﷺ an arrow the thrower of which was unknown; came and hit him. The people said; Congratulations to him for the martyrdom. Allah Apostle said; No; by Him in Whose Hand my soul is; the sheet of cloth which he had taken illegally on the day of Khaibar from the booty before the distribution of the booty; has become a flame of Fire burning him. On hearing that; a man brought one or two leather straps of shoes to the Prophet and said; These are things I took illegally. On that Allah Messenger ﷺ said; This is a strap; or these are two straps of Fire.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: Whenever a dead man in debt was brought to Allah Messenger ﷺ he would ask; Has he left anything to repay his debt? If he was informed that he had left something to repay his debts; he would offer his funeral prayer; otherwise he would tell the Muslims to offer their friend funeral prayer. When Allah made the Prophet ﷺ wealthy through conquests; he said; I am more rightful than other believers to be the guardian of the believers; so if a Muslim dies while in debt; I am responsible for the repayment of his debt; and whoever leaves wealth after his death it will belong to his heirs.

On that Umar said; Did you not hear the Prophet saying: Anyone of you going out for the Jumua prayer should take a bath?.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: While some Ethiopians were playing in the presence of the Prophet; Umar came in; picked up a stone and hit them with it. On that the Prophet ﷺ said; O Umar! Allow them to play. Mamar the subnarrator added that they were playing in the Masjid.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was returning from Khaibar he traveled during the night until he became sleepy and he sat down to rest. Then he said: O Bilal! Stand guard for us for the night. He said: So Bilal performed Prayer; then he leaned against his mount facing the direction of dawn awaiting Fajr. His eyes overcame him until he slept; and not one of them awoke. The first of them to awaken was the Prophet ﷺ who said: O Bilal! Bilal said: May my father be ransomed for you O Messenger of Allah! I was overtaken just as you were overtaken. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Move out! Then he kneeled to perform Ablution and to announce the standing for the Prayer; then he performed Prayer the same as he would when not traveling. Then he said: And establish the Prayer for My rememberance 20:14.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: While the Prophet ﷺ was saying something in a gathering; a Bedouin came and asked him; When would the Hour Doomsday take place? Allah Messenger ﷺ continued his talk; so some people said that Allah Messenger ﷺ had heard the question; but did not like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Allah Messenger ﷺ had not heard it. When the Prophet ﷺ finished his speech; he said; Where is the questioner; who inquired about the Hour Doomsday ? The Bedouin said; I am here; O Allah Apostle. Then the Prophet ﷺ said; When honesty is lost; then wait for the Hour Doomsday. The Bedouin said; How will that be lost? The Prophet ﷺ said; When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons; then wait for the Hour Doomsday.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: While we were in the Masjid; Allah Messenger ﷺ came out to us and said; Let us proceed to the Jews. So we went along with him till we reached Bait AlMidras a place where the Torah used to be recited and all the Jews of the town used to gather. The Prophet ﷺ stood up and addressed them; O Assembly of Jews! Embrace Islam and you will be safe! The Jews replied; O Aba AlQasim! You have conveyed Allah message to us. The Prophet ﷺ said; That is what I want from you. He repeated his first statement for the second time; and they said; You have conveyed Allah message; O Aba AlQasim. Then he said it for the third time and added; You should Know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle; and I want to exile you fro;;; this land; so whoever among you owns some property; can sell it; otherwise you should know that the Earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle.     Narrated Abu Huraira: While we were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ a man came and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I have been ruined. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked what was the matter with him. He replied I had sexual intercourse with my wife while I was fasting. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked him; Can you afford to manumit a slave? He replied in the negative. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked him; Can you fast for two successive months? He replied in the negative. The Prophet ﷺ asked him; Can you afford to feed sixty poor persons? He replied in the negative. The Prophet ﷺ kept silent and while we were in that state; a big basket full of dates was brought to the Prophet ﷺ. He asked; Where is the questioner? He replied; I am here. The Prophet ﷺ said to him ; Take this basket of dates and give it in charity. The man said; Should I give it to a person poorer than I? By Allah; there is no family between its i.e. Medinas two mountains who are poorer than I. The Prophet ﷺ smiled till his premolar teeth became visible and then said; Feed your family with it.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: While we were sitting with Allah Messenger ﷺ ; he Allah Messenger ﷺ said; While I was sleeping; I saw a woman performing ablution beside a palace. I asked; Whose palace is this? It was said; This palace belongs to Umar. Then I remembered his sense of Ghira and returned. On that Umar started weeping in that gathering and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! How dare I think of my self-respect being offended by you?

    Narrated Abu Huraira: While we were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ Surat AlJumua was revealed to him; and when the Verse; And He Allah has sent him Muhammad also to other Muslims..... 62.3 was recited by the Prophet; I said; Who are they; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ? The Prophet ﷺ did not reply till I repeated my question thrice. At that time; Salman AlFarisi was with us. So Allah Messenger ﷺ put his hand on Salman; saying; If Faith were at the place of AlThuraiya pleiades; the highest star ; even then some men or man from these people i.e. Salman folk would attain it.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: While we were with Allah Messenger ﷺ a bedouin got up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Settle my case according to Allah Book Laws. Then his opponent got up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He has said the truth! Settle his case according to Allah Book Laws. and allow me to speak; He said; My son was a laborer for this man and he committed illegal sexual intercourse with his wife. The people told me that my son should be stoned to death but I ransomed him with one-hundred sheep and a slave girl. Then I asked the religious learned people and they told me that his wife should be stoned to death and my son should receive one-hundred lashes and be sentenced to one year of exile. The Prophet ﷺ said; By Him in Whose Hands my life is; I will judge between you according to Allah Book Laws : As for the slave girl and the sheep; they are to be returned; and as for your son; he shall receive onehundred lashes and will be exiled for one year. You; O Unais! addressing a man from Bani Aslam; Go tomorrow morning to the wife of this man and if she confesses; then stone her to death. The next morning Unais went to the wife and she confessed; and he stoned her to death.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: You people say that Abu Huraira tells many narrations from Allah Messenger ﷺ and you also wonder why the emigrants and Ansar do not narrate from Allah Messenger ﷺ as Abu Huraira does. My emigrant brothers were busy in the market while I used to stick to Allah Messenger ﷺ content with what fills my stomach; so I used to be present when they were absent and I used to remember when they used to forget; and my Ansari brothers used to be busy with their properties and I was one of the poor men of Suffa. I used to remember the narrations when they used to forget. No doubt; Allah Messenger ﷺ once said; Whoever spreads his garment till I have finished my present speech and then gathers it to himself; will remember whatever I will say. So; I spread my colored garment which I was wearing till Allah Messenger ﷺ had finished his saying; and then I gathered it to my chest. So; I did not forget any of that narrations.

    Narrated Abu Huraira: said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died and Abu Bakr became the Khalifah after him; whoever disbelieved from the Arabs disbelieved; so Umar Bin AlKhattab said to Abu Bakr: How will you fight the people while the Messenger of Allah has said: I have been ordered to fight the people until they say La Ilaha Illallah; and if they say that; then their blood and wealth will be protected from me; except what it makes obligatory upon them; and their reckoning is with Allah? So Abu Bakr said: By Allah I will fight whoever differentiates between Prayer and Zakat. For indeed; Zakat is the right due upon wealth. And by Allah! If they withhold even camel tethers which they used to give to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ I will fight them for withholding it. So Umar Bin AlKhattab said: By Allah! I saw that Allah had opened Abu Bakr chest to fighting; so I knew that it was correct.

  • Narrated Abu Huraira: that Allah Messenger
    Narrated Abu Huraira: that Allah Messenger ﷺ ﷺ said; Whoever attends the funeral procession till he offers the funeral prayer for it; will get a reward equal to one Qirat; and whoever accompanies it till burial; will get a reward equal to two Qirats. It was asked; What are two Qirats? He replied; Like two huge mountains.

  • Narrated Abu Huraira: that Allah Messenger ﷺ informed them i.e. his companions of the death of Negus; the king of Ethiopia; on the very day on which the latter died; and said; Ask Allah Forgiveness for your brother  +

But he was not satisfied with that; so when that news reached the Prophet ﷺ ; he praised Allah; and expressed gratitude to Him; then said: Indeed so-and-so gave a camel to me as a gift; so I reciprocated for that with six young camels; yet he became upset. So I decided that I would not accept a gift except from a Quraishi; or Ansari; or Dawsi.
