He had a small stick in his hand then he bent his head and started scraping the ground with it. He then said; There is none among you; and not a created soul; but has place either in Paradise or in Hell assigned for him and it is also determined for him whether he will be among the blessed or wretched. A man said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Should we not depend on what has been written for us and leave the deeds as whoever amongst us is blessed will do the deeds of a blessed person and whoever amongst us will be wretched; will do the deeds of a wretched person? The Prophet said; The good deeds are made easy for the blessed; and bad deeds are made easy for the wretched. For whoever among us is destined to be fortunate in the Hereafter ; will join the fortunate peoples and whoever among us is destined to be miserable will do such deeds as are characteristic of the people who are destined to misery. The Prophet ﷺ said; Those who are destined to be happy in the Hereafter will find it easy and pleasant to do the deeds characteristic of those destined to happiness; while those who are to be among the miserable in the Hereafter ; will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of those destined to misery. Then he recited: As for him who gives in charity and keeps his duty to Allah and believes in the Best reward from Allah; We will make smooth for him the path of ease. It was only that the Prophet ﷺ called the Jews and asked them about something; and they hid the truth and told him something else; and showed him that they deserved praise for the favor of telling him the answer to his question; and they became happy with what they had concealed. Allah curses those ladies who practice tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed; and those ladies who remove the hair from their faces and those who make artificial spaces between their teeth in order to look more beautiful whereby they change Allah creation. His saying reached a lady from Bani Asd called Um Yaqub who came to Abdullah and said; I have come to know that you have cursed such-and-such ladies ? He replied; Why should I not curse these whom Allah Messenger ﷺ has cursed and who are cursed in Allah Book! Um Yaqub said; I have read the whole Quran; but I did not find in it what you say. He said; Verily; if you have read it i.e. the Quran ; you have found it. Didnt you read: And whatsoever the Apostle gives you take it and whatsoever he forbids you; you abstain from it. 59.7 She replied; Yes; I did; He said; Verily; Allah Messenger ﷺ forbade such things. She said; But I see your wife doing these things? He said; Go and watch her. She went and watched her but could not see anything in support of her statement. On that he said; If my wife was as you thought; I would not keep her in my company.

He asked me; From where are you? I replied; From the people of AlKufa. He said; Isnt there amongst you Ibn Um Abd; the one who used to carry the shoes; the cushion or pillow and the water for ablution? Is there amongst you the one whom Allah gave Refuge from Satan through the request of His Prophet. Is there amongst you the one who keeps the secrets of the Prophet ﷺ which nobody knows except him? Abu AlDarda further asked; How does Abdullah bin Masud recite the Surat starting with; By the Night as it conceals the light. 92.1 Then I recited before him: By the Night as it envelops: And by the Day as it appears in brightness; And by male and female. 91.1-3 On this Abu AlDarda said; By Allah; the Prophet ﷺ made me recite the Surat in this way while I was listening to him reciting it.

On that; Zaid Bin Hudair; the brother of Ziyad Bin Hudair said; to Ibn Masud ; Why have you ordered Alqama to recite though he does not recite better than we? Ibn Masud said; If you like; I would tell you what the Prophet ﷺ said about your nation and his i.e. Alqamas nation. So I recited fifty Verses from Surat Maryam. Abdullah bin Masud said to Khabbab; What do you think about Alqama recitation ? Khabbab said; He has recited well. Abdullah said; Whatever I recite; Alqama recites. Then Abdullah turned towards Khabbab and saw that he was wearing a gold ring; whereupon he said; Hasnt the time for its throwing away come yet? Khabbab said; You will not see me wearing it after today; and he throw it away.

Then a man came across her and she said: That man has done this and that to me; then she came across a group of Emigrants Muhajirin and she said: That man did this and that to me. They went to get the man she thought had relations with her; and they brought him to her. She said: Yes; that him. So they brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; and when he ordered that he be stoned; the man who had relations with her; said: O Messenger of Allah; I am the one who had relations with her. So he said to her: Go; for Allah has forgiven you. Then he said some nice words to the man who was brought. And he said to the man who had relations with her: Stone him. Then he said: He has repented a repentance that; if the inhabitants of AlMadinah had repented with; it would have been accepted from them.

  Narrated Alqamah Bin Wail Bin Hujr AlHadrami: On the Authority of his father: A man from Hadramawt and a man of Kindah came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. AlHadrami said: Messenger of Allah; this man took away forcibly from me the land which belongs to my father. AlKindi said: It is my land in my possession; and I cultivate it; he has no right to it. The Prophet ﷺ then said to AlHadrami: Have you any proof ? He said: No. He then said: So for you is his oath. He said: Messenger of Allah; he is liar; he does not care for which he is taking the oath. He does not refrain himself from anything. The Prophet ﷺ said: You will have nothing from him except that. He went to take an oath for him. When he turned his back; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If he takes an oath on the property to take it away by unfair means; he will meet Allah while He is unmindful of him.
