SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2105 +Narrated Aisha: The Prophet ﷺ said; Whoever vowed to be obedient to Allah; must be obedient to Him; and whoever vowed to be disobedient to Allah; should not be disobedient to Him.  +

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2109 +Narrated Ibn Abbas: While the Prophet ﷺ was delivering a sermon; he saw a man standing; so he asked about that man. They the people said; It is Abu Israil who has vowed that he will stand and never sit down; and he will never come in the shade; nor speak to anybody; and will fast. The Prophet ﷺ said; Order him to speak and let him come in the shade; and make him sit down; but let him complete his fast.  +
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-211 +Narrated Ibn Umar: When Abdullah Bin Ubai the chief of hypocrites died; his son came to the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Please give me your shirt to shroud him in it; offer his funeral prayer and ask for Allah forgiveness for him. So Allah Messenger ﷺ ﷺ gave his shirt to him and said; Inform me When the funeral is ready so that I may offer the funeral prayer. So; he informed him and when the Prophet intended to offer the funeral prayer; Umar took hold of his hand and said; Has Allah not forbidden you to offer the funeral prayer for the hypocrites? The Prophet ﷺ said; I have been given the choice for Allah says: It does not avail Whether you O Muhammad ask forgiveness for them hypocrites ; or do not ask for forgiveness for them. Even though you ask for their forgiveness seventy times; Allah will not forgive them. 9.80 So the Prophet ﷺ offered the funeral prayer and on that the revelation came: And never O Muhammad pray funeral prayer for any of them i.e. hypocrites that dies. 9. 84  +
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2110 +Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar: that he was asked about a man who had vowed that he would fast all the days of his life then the day of Id AlAdha or Id AlFitr came. Abdullah Bin Umar said: You have indeed a good example in Allah Messenger ﷺ. He did not fast on the day of Id AlAdha or the day of Id AlFitr; and we do not intend fasting on these two days.  +
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2111 +Narrated Ziyad Bin Jubair: I was with Ibn Umar when a man asked him; I have vowed to fast every Tuesday or Wednesday throughout my life and if the day of my fasting coincided with the Day Of AlNahr the first day of Id AlAdha ; What shall I do? Ibn Umar said; Allah has ordered the vows to be fulfilled; and we are forbidden to fast on the Day Of AlNahr. The man repeated his question and Ibn Umar repeated his former answer; adding nothing more.  +
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2112 +Narrated Abu Huraira: We went out in the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ on the day of the battle of Khaibar; and we did not get any gold or silver as war booty; but we got property in the form of things and clothes. Then a man called Rifaa Bin Zaid; from the tribe of Bani AlDubaib; presented a slave named Midam to Allah Apostle. Allah Messenger ﷺ headed towards the valley of AlQura; and when he was in the valley of AlQura an arrow was thrown by an unidentified person; struck and killed Midam who was making a camel of Allah Messenger ﷺ kneel down. The people said; Congratulations to him the slave for gaining Paradise. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; No! By Him in Whose Hand my soul is; for the sheet which he stole from the war booty before its distribution on the day of Khaibar; is now burning over him. When the people heard that; a man brought one or two Shiraks leather straps of shoes to the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ said; A Shirak of fire; or two Shiraks of fire.  +

The sub-narrator added: Ibn Umar used to say; If you survive till the evening; do not expect to be alive in the morning; and if you survive till the morning; do not expect to be alive in the evening; and take from your health for your sickness; and take from your life for your death.  +
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2118 +Narrated Abdullah: The Prophet ﷺ drew a square and then drew a line in the middle of it and let it extend outside the square and then drew several small lines attached to that central line; and said; This is the human being; and this; the square in his lease of life; encircles him from all sides or has encircled him ; and this line ; which is outside the square ; is his hope; and these small lines are the calamities and troubles which may befall him ; and if one misses him; an-other will snap i.e. overtake him; and if the other misses him; a third will snap i.e. overtake him.  +

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2126 +Narrated Amr Bin Auf: An ally of the tribe of Bani Amir Bin Louai and one of those who had witnessed the battle of Badr with Allah Messenger ﷺ Allah Messenger ﷺ sent Abu Ubaida Bin AlJarrah to Bahrain to collect the Jizya tax. Allah Messenger ﷺ had concluded a peace treaty with the people of Bahrain and appointed AlAla Bin AlHadrami as their chief; Abu Ubaida arrived from Bahrain with the money. The Ansar heard of Abu Ubaida arrival which coincided with the Fajr morning prayer led by Allah Messenger ﷺ. When the Prophet ﷺ finished the prayer; they came to him. Allah Messenger ﷺ smiled when he saw them and said; I think you have heard of the arrival of Abu Ubaida and that he has brought something. They replied; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; Have the good news; and hope for what will please you. By Allah; I am not afraid that you will become poor; but I am afraid that worldly wealth will be given to you in abundance as it was given to those nations before you; and you will start competing each other for it as the previous nations competed for it; and then it will divert you from good as it diverted them.  +
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2127 +Narrated Uqba Bin Amir: The Prophet ﷺ went out and offered the funeral prayer for the martyrs of the battle of Uhud and then ascended the pulpit and said; I am your predecessor and I am a witness against you. By Allah; I am now looking at my Tank-lake AlKauthar and I have been given the keys of the treasures of the earth or the keys of the earth. By Allah! I am not afraid that after me you will worship others besides Allah; but I am afraid that you will start competing for the pleasures of this world.  +
