A man who goes out on an expedition to fight in the path of Allaah; the Exalted; is in the security of Allaah; until He takes him unto Him i.e.; he dies and brings him into Paradise or brings him alive with reward and booty he obtains and a man who goes to the Masjid is in the security of Allaah; until he takes him unto Him i.e.; he dies ; and he brings him into Paradise or brings him with reward and spoils he obtains; and a man who enters his house after giving salutation is in the security of Allaah; the Exalted.

The one who acts rightly during that period will have the reward of fifty men who act as he does. Another version has: He said The hearers asked: Messenger of Allah; the reward of fifty of them? He replied: The reward of fifty of you.

    Abu Ummah said: During the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage; I heard the Messenger of Allah S.A.W saying in the Khutbah: Indeed Allah; Most Blessed and Most High; has given the right due to everyone deserving a right. So there is no will for an heir; the child is for the bed; and for the fornicator is the stone; and their reckoning is for Allah; Most High. And whoever claims someone other than his father; or an affiliation with other than his Mawali; then upon him is the continued curse of Allah until the Day of Judgment. The wife is not to spend from her husband house except with her husband permission. They said: O Messenger of Allah! Not even food? He said: That is the most virtuous of our wealth. And he said: The borrowed is to be returned; the endowment is to be refunded and the debt is to be repaid; and the guarantor is responsible.

His nephew saw him and said: Are you going to contradict the order of precedence set by Allah Messenger ﷺ ; whereas Allah Messenger ﷺ has the best knowledge of it? Is it not sufficient for you that you are the fourth amongst the four best tribes of the Ansar ? So he returned and said: Allah and His Messenger know best; and he commanded that his pony should be unsaddled.

But when we return we busy ourselves with our wives and livelihood and we forget so much. He Abu Bakr said: By Allah! The same thing happens to me. Let us go to the Messenger of Allah s.a.w. Hanzalah said: So he went. When the Messenger of Allah s.a.w saw him; he said: What is wrong with you O Hanzalah? He said: Hanzalah has become a hypocrite O Messenger of Allah! When we are with you we remember the Fire and Paradise as if we can see them with the naked eye. But when we return we are busy with our wives and livelihood; and we forget so much. He said: So the Messenger of Allah s.a.w said: If you were to abide in the state that you are in when you are with me; then the Angels would shake hands with you in your gatherings; and upon your bedding; and in your paths.     Abu Wail reported that a person named Nabik Bin Sinan came to Abdullah Bin Masud and said: Abu Abdulrahman how do you recite this word alif or ya ? Would you read It as: min main ghaira Aasi n or au min main ghaira ghaira yasin. AlQuran; xlvii. 15 ? Abdullah said: You seem to have memorised the whole of the Quran except this. He again said: I recite all the mufassal surahs in one rakah. Upon this Abdullah said: You must have been reciting It hastily like the recitation of poetry. Verily. there are people who recite the Quran; but it does not go down beyond their collar bones. It is a fact with the Quran that it is beneficial only when it settles in the heart and is rooted deeply in it. The best of the acts in prayer are bowing and prostration. I am quite aware of the occasions when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ combined together two surahs in every rakah. Abdullah then stood up and went out with Alqama following in his footstep. He said Ibn Numair had told him that the narration was like that: A person belonging to Banu Bajila came to Abdullah; and he did not mention the name of Nahik Bin Sinan.

He said: I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The lengthening of prayer by a man and the shortness of the sermon is the sign of his understanding of faith. So lengthen the prayer and shorten the sermon; for there is charm in precise expression.

He said: Do you presume any idleness on the part of the family of Ibn Umm Abd the mother of Abdullah Bin Masud ? He was again busy with the glorification of Allah till he thought that the sun had risen. He said: Girl; see whether the sun has arisen. She glanced but it had not risen by that time. He was again busy with the glorification of Allah and he again thought that the sun had arisen. She glanced and confirmed that; it had risen. Upon this he Abdullah Bin Masud said: Praise be to Allah Who did not call us to account for our sins today. Mahdi said: I think that he said; He did not destroy us for our sins. One among the people said: I recited all the mufassal surahs during the night. Abdullah said: You must have recited them like the recitation of poetry. I heard the Holy Prophet combining the sarahs and I remember the combinations which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made In the recitation of surahs. These were constituted of eighteen mufassal surahs and two surahs commencing with Ha-Mim.

    Abu Waqid AlLaith reported that Allah Messenger ﷺ was sitting in the Masjid along wish tome people when there came to him three persons; two of them stepped forward to the direction of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and one of them went away. The two stood by the side of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and one of them found a space in his circle and he sat in that; and the other one sat behind him and the third one went away. When Allah Messenger ﷺ had finished his work; he said. Should I not inform you about these three persons? One of them sought refuge with Allah and Allah gave him refuge and the second one felt shy and Allah showed kindness to has shyness and so he was accommodated in that meeting ; and the last one reverted and Allah turned away His attention from him.

    Abu Waqid AlLaithi narrated that when the Messenger of Allah s.a.w went out to Hunain he passed a tree that the idolaters called Dhat Anwat upon which they hung their weapons. They the Companions said: O Messenger of Allah! Make a Dhat Anwat for us as they have a Dhat Anwat. The Prophet ﷺ said: Subhan Allah! This is like what Mousa people said: Make for us a god like their gods. By the One in Whose is my soul! You shall follow the way of those who were before you.

    Abu Yahya Sulaim Bin Amir; Damrah Bin Habib and Abu Talha h Nuaim Bin Ziyad said: We heard Abu Umamah AlBahili say: I heard Amrah Bin Abasah say: I said: O Messenger of Allah; is there any moment which brings one close to Allah than another; or any moment that should be sought out for remembering Allah? He said: Yes; the closest that the Lord is to His slave is in the last part of the night; so if you can be among those who remember Allah at that time; then do so. For prayer is attended and witnessed by the angels until the sun rises; then it rises between the two horns of the Shaitan; that is the time when the disbelievers pray; so do not pray until the sun had risen to the height of a spear and its rays have disappeared. Then prayer is attended and witness by the angels until the sun is directly overhead at midday; and that is the time when the gates of Hell are opened and it is stoked up. So do not pray until the shadows appear. Then prayer is attended and witnessed by angels until the sun sets; and it sets between the horns of a Shaitan; and that is the time when the disbelievers pray.

He used to do so in every rakah until he finished his prayer. Then he would say at the end of the prayer: By Him in Whose hands lies my life; I am closer to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in respect of his prayer. Such was the prayer he used to offer until he departed from the world.Abu Dawud said: Malik; AlZubaidi and others have narrated so that they form the last words from AlZuhri on the authority of Ali b; Husain. And this is supported by the version reported by Abd AlAla from Mamar and SHuaib Bin Abi Hamzah on the authority of AlZuhri.
