He uttered the adhan and the iqamah or ordered some person who called the adhan and the iqamah. He then led us the three rakahs of the sunset prayers and turned to us and said Another prayer. Thereafter he led us in the two rakahs of the night prayer. Then he called for his dinner. He Ashath said Ilaj Bin Amr reported a tradition like that of my father on the authority of Ibn Umar. Ibn Umar was asked about it. He said I prayed along with the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ in a similar manner.

    Asim Bin Umar Bin Qatada reported: There came to our house Abdullah and another person from amongst the members of the household who complained of a wound. Jabir said: What ails you? He said: There is a wound which is very painful for me; whereupon he said: Boy; bring to me a cupper. He said: Abdullah; what do you intend to do with the cupper? I said: I would get this wound cupped. He said: By Allah. oven the touch of fly or cloth causes me pain and cupping would thus cause me unbearable pain. And when he saw him feeling pain at the idea of cupping ; he said: I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: If there is any effective remedy amongst your remedies; these are three : Cupping; drinking of honey and cauterisation with the help of fire. Allah Messenger ﷺ had said: As for myself I do not like cauterisation. The cupper was called and he cupped him and he was all right.

    Asim Ibn Kulayb quoted his father authority for the following statement by one of the Ansar: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to a funeral; and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the grave giving this instruction to the grave-digger: Make it wide on the side of his feet; and make it wide on the side of his head. When he came back; he was received by a man who conveyed an invitation from a woman. So he came to her ; to it food was brought; and he put his hand i.e. took a morsel in his hand ; the people did the same and they ate. Our fathers noticed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was moving a morsel around his mouth. He then said: I find the flesh of a sheep which has been taken without its owner permission. The woman sent a message to say: Messenger of Allah; I sent someone to AlNaqi to have a sheep bought for me; but there was none; so I sent a message to my neighbour who had bought a sheep; asking him to send it to me for the price he had paid ; but he could not be found. I; therefore; sent a message to his wife and she sent it to me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Give this food to the prisoners.

I swear by Allah; if order people to come but from a certain gate of the Masjid; and they come out from another gate; their blood and their properties will be lawful for me. I swear by Allah; if I seize the tribe of Rabiah for the tribe of Mudar; it is lawful for me from Allah. Who will apologies to me for the slave of Hudhail i.e. Abdullah Bin Masud who thinks that his reading of the Quran is from Allah. I swear by Allah; it is a rhymed prose of the Bedouins. Allah did not reveal it to his Prophet ﷺ. Who will apologies to me for these clients non-Arab. One of them thinks that he will throw a stone and when it falls on the ground he says: Something new has happened. I swear by Allah; I shall leave them ruined and perished like the day that passes away.He said: I mentioned it to AlAmash. He said: I swear by Allah; I heard it from him.

When a man among his Companions narrated to me I ask him to swear an oath to me about it; and when he swears an oath to me I trust him. And Abu Bakr narrated to me - and Abu Bakr told the truth - he said: I heard Allah Messenger S saying: There is no man who commits a sin; then makes Ablution; then performs Prayer; then seeks forgiveness from Allah; except that Allah forgives him. Then he recited this Ayah: Those who when they have committed Fahishah or wronged themselves with eveil; remember Allah. 3:135 until the end of the Ayah.

    Asma Bin Ubaid reported about a person who was called AlSaib having said: We visited Abu Saeed Khudri. When we had been sitting with him we heard a stir under his bed. When we looked we found a big snake; the rest of the hadith is the same. And in this Allah Messenger ﷺ is reported to have said: Verily in these houses there live aged snakes ; so when you see one of them; make life hard for it for three days; and if it goes away well and good ; otherwise kill it for in that case it would be a nonbeliever. And he the Holy Prophet said to his Companions : Go and bury your companion who had died by the snake bite.

What an evil servant is the one who is heedless and diverted; forgetting about the graves and the trials. What an evil servant is the one who is violent and tyrannical; forgetting his beginnings or his end. What an evil servant is the one who seeks the world through the religion. What an evil servant is the one who seeks the religion through his desires. What an evil servant is the one who puts all hope in his own zeal. What an evil servant is the worshipper who is misled by his desire. What an evil servant is the one whose aspirations humiliate him.
