SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6307 +Narrated Kaab Bin Malik: I never failed to join Allah Messenger ﷺ in any of his Ghazawat except in the Ghazwa of Tabuk. However; I did not take part in the Ghazwa of Badr; but none who failed to take part in it; was blamed; for Allah Messenger ﷺ had gone out to meet the caravans of Quraish; but Allah caused them i.e. Muslims to meet their enemy unexpectedly with no previous intention.  +
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6308 +Narrated Ibn Masud: I witnessed AlMiqdad Bin AlAswad in a scene which would have been dearer to me than anything had I been the hero of that scene. He i.e. AlMiqdad came to the Prophet ﷺ while the Prophet ﷺ was urging the Muslims to fight with the pagans. AlMiqdad said; We will not say as the People of Moses said: Go you and your Lord and fight you two. 5.27. But we shall fight on your right and on your left and in front of you and behind you. I saw the face of the Prophet ﷺ getting bright with happiness; for that saying delighted him.  +
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6309 +Narrated Ibn Abbas: On the day of the battle of Badr; the Prophet ﷺ said; O Allah! I appeal to You to fulfill Your Covenant and Promise. O Allah! If Your Will is that none should worship You then give victory to the pagans. Then Abu Bakr took hold of him by the hand and said; This is sufficient for you. The Prophet came out saying; Their multitude will be put to flight and they will show their backs. 54.45  +
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-631 +Narrated AlAswad: We were with Aisha discussing the regularity of offering the prayer and dignifying it. She said; When Allah Messenger ﷺ fell sick with the fatal illness and when the time of prayer became due and Adhan was pronounced; he said; Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. He was told that Abu Bakr was a softhearted man and would not be able to lead the prayer in his place. The Prophet ﷺ gave the same order again but he was given the same reply. He gave the order for the third time and said; You women are the companions of Joseph. Tell Abu Bakr to lead the prayer. So Abu Bakr came out to lead the prayer. In the meantime the condition of the Prophet ﷺ improved a bit and he came out with the help of two men one on each side. As if I was observing his legs dragging on the ground owing to the disease. Abu Bakr wanted to retreat but the Prophet ﷺ beckoned him to remain at his place and the Prophet ﷺ was brought till he sat beside Abu Bakr. AlAmash was asked; Was the Prophet ﷺ praying and Abu Bakr following him; and were the people following Abu Bakr in that prayer? AlAmash replied in the affirmative with a nod of his head. Abu Muawiya said; The Prophet ﷺ was sitting on the left side of Abu Bakr who was praying while standing.  +
