Uthman changed it altogether with increasing addition. He built its walls with decorated stone and lime. And he built the pillars with decorated stone and its roof with teak. Mujahid said: Its roof was made of teak. Abu Dawud said: AlQassah means lime used as mortar.

    Abdullah Bin Umar reported: Umar Bin AlKhattab went along with Allah Messenger ﷺ in the company of some persons to Ibn Sayad that he found him playing with children near the battlement of Bani Maghala and Ibn Sayad was at that time just at the threshold of adolescence and he did not perceive the presence of Holy Prophet until Allah Messenger ﷺ struck his back with his hands. Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Ibn Sayad; dont you bear witness that I am the messenger of Allah? Ibn Sayad looked toward him and he said: I bear witness to the fact that you the messenger of the unlettered. Ibn Sayad said to the Allah Messenger ﷺ : Do you bear witness to the fact that I am the messenger of Allah? Allah Messenger ﷺ rejected this and said: I affirm my faith in Allah and in His messengers. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ said to him: What do you see? Ibn Sayad said: It is a Dukh. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: May you be disgraced and dishonoured; you would not not be able to go beyond your rank. Umar Bin AlKhattab said: Allah Messenger; permit me that I should strike his neck. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: If he is the same Dajjal who would appear near the Last Hour; you would not be able to overpower him; and if he is not that there is no good for you to kill him. Abdullah Bin Umar further narrated that after some time Allah Messenger ﷺ and Ubay Bin Kaab went towards the palm trees where Ibn Sayad was. When Allah Messenger ﷺ went near the tree he hid himself behind a tree with the intention of hearing something from Ibn sayad before Ibn Sayad could see him; but Allah Messenger ﷺ saw him on a bed with a blanket around him from which a murmuring sound was being heard and Ibn Sayad mother saw Allah Messenger ﷺ behind the trunk of the palm tree. She said to Ibn Sayad: Saf that being his name ; here is Muhammad. Thereupon Ibn Sayad jumped up murmuring and Allah Messenger ﷺ said: If she had left him alone he would have made things clear. Abdullah Bin Umar told that Allah Messenger ﷺ stood up amongst the people and lauded Allah as He deserved; then he made a mention of the Dajjal and said: I warn you of him and there is no Prophet who has not warned his people against the Dajjal. Even Noah warned against him but I am going to tell you a thing which no Prophet told his people. You must know that he the Dajjal is one-eyed and Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; is not one-eyed. Ibn Shihab said: Umar Bin Thabit AlAnsari informed me that some of the Companions of Allah Messenger ﷺ informed him that the day when Allah Messenger ﷺ warned people against the Dajjal; he also said: There would be written between his two eyes the word Kafir infidel and everyone who would resent his deeds would be able to read or every Muslim would be about to read; and he also said: Bear this thing in mind that none amongst you would be able to see Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; until he dies.

    Abdullah Bin Umar reported: Umar Bin at-Khattab found a silk garment being sold in the market; he purchased it and brought it to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger; get it and adorn yourself by wearing it on the Id days and for the delegation. Thereupon; Allah Messenger ﷺ said: That is the dress of one who has no share in the Hereafter. Umar stayed there so long as Allah wished. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ sent him a silk cloak. Umar came back with that to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger. you said that it is the dress of one who has no share in the Hereafter; but then you sent it to me.     Abdullah Bin Umar reported: We waited one night in expectation of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for the last prayer of the night; and he came out to us when a third of the night had passed even after that. We do not know whether he had been occupied with family business or something else. When he came cut he said: You are waiting for prayer; for which the followers of no other religion wait. except you. Were it not a burden for my Ummah; I would have led them in the Isya prayer at this hour. He then ordered the Muadhdbin to call for prayer and then stood up for prayer and observed prayer.

    Abdullah Bin Umar said : The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the night prayer one night towards the end of his life. When he uttered the salutation; he got up and said : Have you seen this night of yours ? No one of those who are on the surface of the earth will survive at the ends of one hundred years. Ibn Umar said: The people fell into fallacy by this statement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the traditions they used to narrate concerning one hundred years. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: No one of those who are present today on the surface of the earth will survive; meaning when that century comes to and end.

    Abdullah Bin Umar said At the Farewell Pilgrimage the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ put on ihram first for Umrah and afterwards for Hajj and drove the sacrificial animals along with him from Dhu AlHulaifa. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ first raised his voice in talbiyah for Umrah and afterwards he did so for Hajj; and the people along with the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ did it first for Umrah and afterwards for Hajj. Some of the people had brought sacrificial animals and others had not; so when the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ came to Makkah ; he said to the people. Those of you who have brought sacrificial animals must not treat as lawful anything which has become unlawful for you till you complete your Hajj; but those of you who have not brought sacrificial animals should go round the House Kabah and run between AlSafa and AlMarwah; clip their hair; put off ihram; and afterwards raise their voice in talbiyah for Hajj and bring sacrificial animals. Those who cannot get sacrificial animals should fast three days during Hajj and seven days when they return to their families. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ then performed circumambulation when he came to Makkah first touching the corner then running during three circuits out of seven and walking during four and when he had finished his circumambulation of the House Kabah he prayed two rakahs at Maqam Ibrahim; then giving the salutation and departing he went to AlSafa and ran seven times between AlSafa and AlMarwah. After that he did not treat anything as lawful which had become unlawful for him till he had completed his Hajj; sacrificed his animals on the day of sacrifice; went quickly and performed the circumambulation of the House the Kabah ; after which all that had been unlawful became lawful for him. Those people who had brought sacrificial animals did as the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ did.

  • Abdullah Bin Umar said The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ held race between the horses which had been made lean by training from AlHafya. The goal was Thaniyat AlWada and he held a race between the horses Banu Zuraiq and Abd Allaah was one of the racers.  +

    Abdullah Bin Umar said that Saad Bin Ubada complained of illness. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to visit him accompanied by Abdulrahman Bin Auf; Saad Bin Abi Waqqas and Abdullah Bin Masud. As he entered his room he found him in a swoon. Upon this he said: Has he died? They said: Messenger of Allah; it is not so. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wept. When the people saw Allah Messenger ﷺ weeping; they also began to weep. He said. Listen; Allah does not punish for the tears that the eye sheds or the grief the heart feels; but He punishes for this pointing to his tongue ; or He may show mercy.

    Abdullah Bin Umar said that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating during the time of the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ. So Umar Bin AlKhattab asked the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ about this matter. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said Order him; he must take her back and keep her back till she is purified; then has another menstrual period and is purified. Thereafter if he desires he may divorce her before having intercourse with her; for that is the period of waiting which Allaah the Glorified has commanded for the divorce of women.
