I said: O Messenger of Allah; let me do more; let me do more. He said: Let me do more; let mo do more; I am able for it. Then the Messenger of Allah fell silent until I thought that he was going to refuse my request. Then he said: fast three days of each month.

The caught up with the Messenger of Allah and asked him about that; and he said: That is food that Allah; the Might and Sublime; gave to you.

Umr said: We are content with Allah as our lord; Islam as our religion and Muhammad as or Prophet. And he was aksed about someone who fasted for the rest of his life and said: He neither fasted nor broke his fast. Ata said: someone who heard him told me that Ibn Umar said that the Prophet said: Whoever fasts every day of his life; then he has not fasted.

He said: O Messenger of Allah; you met me when I was in a state of sexual impurity; and I did not want to sit with you until I had a bath. The Messenger of Allah said: The believer does not become impure.
