- Narrated Abu Huraira Allah Messenger said Whoever obeys me obeys Allah and whoever disobeys me disobeys Allah and whoever obeys the ruler I appoint obeys me and whoever disobeys him disobeys me
- Narrated Abdullah The Prophet said A Muslim has to listen to and obey the order of his ruler whether he likes it or not as long as his orders involve not one in disobedience to Allah but if an act of disobedience to Allah is imposed one should not listen to it or obey it
- Narrated Shaqiq I heard Hudhaifa saying While we were sitting with Umar he said Who among you remembers the statement of the Prophet about the afflictions Hudhaifa said The affliction of a man in his family his property his children and his neighbors are expiated by his prayers Zakat and alms and enjoining good and forbidding evil
- We asked Hudhaifa Did Umar know what that door meant He replied Yes as I know that there will be night before tomorrow morning that is because I narrated to him a true narration free from errors
- Narrated Abu Musa The Prophet said My example and the example of what I have been sent with is that of a man who came to some people and said O people I have seen the enemy army with my own eyes and I am the naked warner so protect yourselves Then a group of his people obeyed him and fled at night proceeding stealthily till they were safe while another group of them disbelieved him and stayed at their places till morning when the army came upon them and killed and ruined them completely So this is the example of that person who obeys me and follows what I have brought the and the Sunna and the example of the one who disobeys me and disbelieves the truth I have brought
- Narrated Haritha Bin Wahb I heard the Prophet saying Shall I tell you of the people of Paradise They comprise every poor humble person and if he swears by Allah to do something Allah will fulfill it while the people of the fire comprise every violent cruel arrogant person
- They said to her The Prophet forbade what you know of deserting not speaking to your Muslim Brethren for it is unlawful for any Muslim not to talk to his brother for more than three nights days
- Narrated Zahdam Bin Mudrab I heard Imran Bin Husain saying The Prophet said The best people are those living in my generation then those coming after them and then those coming after the second generation
- He said Whenever I liked to see the Prophet fasting in any month I could see that and whenever I liked to see him not fasting I could see that too and if I liked to see him praying in any night I could see that and if I liked to see him sleeping I could see that too
- Narrated Aisha I heard the Prophet and listened to him before his death while he was leaning his back on me and saying O Allah Forgive me and bestow Your Mercy on me and let me meet the highest companions of the Hereafter
- And whoever makes the world his goal Allah puts his poverty right before his eyes and disorganizes his affairs and the world does not come to him except what has been decreed for him
- He expressed his gratitude to Allah and praised Him and reminded and exhorted then he said Which day is most sacred Which day is most sacred Which day is most sacred He said So the people said The day of AlHajj AlAkbar O Messenger of Allah So he said Indeed your blood your wealth your honor is as sacred for you as the sacredness of this day of yours in this city of yours in this month of yours
- And spend of that which We have provided you before death comes to one of you and says My Lord If only You would give me respite for a little while then I should give Sadaqah up to His saying And Allah is Al AlAware of what you do
- It was said What are they O Messenger of Allah He said When AlMaghnam the spoils of war are distributed preferentially trust is usurped zakat is a fine a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother he is kind to his friend and abandons his father voices are raised in the Masajid the leader of the people is the most despicable among them the most honored man is the one whose evil the people are afraid of intoxicants are drunk silk is worn by males there is a fascination for singing slave girls and music and the end of this Ummah curses its beginning
- w said When AlFai is distributed preferentially trust is a spoil of war Zakat is a fine knowledge is sought for other than the sake of the religion a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother he is close to his friend and far from his father voices are raised in the Masajid tribes are led by their wicked the leader of the people is the most despicable among them the most honored man is the one whose evil the people are afraid of singing slave girls and music spread intoxicants are drunk and the end of this Ummah curses its beginning then anticipate a red wind earthquake collapsing of the earth transformation Qadhf and the signs follow in succession like gems of a necklace whose string is cut and so they fall in succession
- He said Urwah told me that Aishah said Allah enjoined the salah upon the Messenger of Allah and the first thing that He enjoined was two Rakahs at a time then it was made complete four Rakahs while in the state of residence but the prayer when traveling remained two Rakahs as it was first enjoined

- It was narrated that Ubadah Bin AlSamit said We pledged to the Messenger of Allah to hear and obey both in times of ease and hardship when we felt energetic and when we felt tired that we would not contend with the orders of whomever was entrusted with it that we would was entrusted with it that we would stand firm in the way of truth wherever we may be and that we would not fear the blame of the blamers
- It was narrated that Abu Idris AlKhawlani said I heard Ubadah Bin AlSamit say I pledged to the Messenger of Allah among a group of people and he said I accept your pledge that you will not associate anything with Allah you will not steal you will not have unlawful sexual relations you will not kill you children you will not utter slander fabricating from between your hands and feet and you will not disobey me when commanded with goodness
- If they obey you in that then teach them that Allah has enjoined upon them Sadaqah zakat from their wealth to be taken from their rich and given to their poor
- The Messenger of Allah told him of the laws of Islam He said By the One Who has honored you I will not do anything voluntarily and I will not do anything voluntarily and I will not do less than that which Allah has enjoined upon me The Messenger of Allah said He will succeed if he is sincere or He will enter Paradise if he is sincere
- It was narrated from Adiy Bin Hatim that he asked the Messenger of Allah about the verse Until the white thread light of dawn appears to you distinct from the black thread darkness of night
- The Meaning of Allah the Most High saying And eat and drink until the white thread light of dawn appears to you distinct from the black thread darkness of night Sahih Darussalam
- It was narrated from Aishah that The Prophet used to say when he did a prostration that was required when reciting at night Sajada wajhi lilladhi khalaqahu wa sawarahu wa shaqqa samahu wa basarahu bihawlihi wa quwatih My face has prostrated to the One Who created it and formed it and brought forth its hearing and sight by His power and strength
- Muhammad Bin Abbad and Said Bin Amr AlAshathi narrated to me on authority of Ibn Uyaynah Said said Sufyan informed us on authority of Hisham Bin Hujayr on authority of Tawus he said Bushayr Bin Kaab came to Ibn Abbas so he set about narrating to him
- Thus Bushayr said to him I do not know whether you know all of my U E adith and you reject this one and that or if you reject all of my U E adith and know this one and that Ibn Abbas said to him Indeed we would be narrated to on authority of the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings of Allah upon him at a time when one would not lie upon him however when the people took the difficult Munkar and the docile Sahih we abandoned listening to U E adith from them
- Abu Huraira reported Allah Apostle found an old man walking between his two sons supported by them whereupon Allah Apostle said What is the matter with him He the narrator said Allah Messenger they are his sons and there is upon him the fulfilment of the vow whereupon Allah Apostle said Ride old man for Allah is not in need of you and your vow
- Some of us began to set right their tents others began to compete with one another in shooting and others began to graze their beasts when an announcer of the Messenger of Allah announced that the people should gather together for prayer so we gathered around the Messenger of Allah
- He said It was the duty of every Prophet that has gone before me to guide his followers to what he knew was good for them and warn them against what he knew was bad for them but this Umma of yours has its days of peace and security in the beginning of its career and in the last phase of its existence it will be afflicted with trials and with things disagreeable to you
- I said to him This cousin of yours Muawiya orders us to unjustly consume our wealth among ourselves and to kill one another while Allah says O ye who believe do not consume your wealth among yourselves unjustly unless it be trade based on mutual agreement and do not kill yourselves
- The latter said Salama Bin Yazid Aljuafi asked the Messenger of Allah Prophet of Allah what do you think if we have rulers who rule over us and demand that we discharge our obligations towards them but they themselves do not discharge their own responsibilities towards us What do you order us to do The Messenger of Allah avoided giving any answer
- One who fights under the banner of a people who are blind to the cause for which they are fighting do not know whether their cause is just or otherwise who gets flared up with family pride calls people to fight for their family honour and supports his kith and kin i
- It has been narrated through a different chain of transmitters on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah said Whoever defects from obedience to the Amir and separates from the main body of the Muslim and dies in that state dies the death of one belonging to the days of jahiliya
- And he who is killed under the banner of a man who is blind to the cause for which he is fighting who gets flared up with family pride and fights for his tribe is not from my Ummah and whosoever from my followers attacks my followers indiscriminately killing the righteous and the wicked of them sparing not even those staunch in faith and fulfilling not his obligation towards them who have been given a pledge of security is not from me i
- The Messenger of Allah was asked which of the men fights in the way of Allah one who fights for displaying his valour a man who fights out of his family pride and a man who fights for the sake of show who amongst these fights in the way of Allah The Messenger of Allah said Who fights that the word of Allah be exalted fights in the way of Allah
- Thereupon Allah Messenger said Verily Uthman is a person who is very modest and I was afraid that if I permitted him to enter in this very state he would not inform me of his need
- Imran said I do not know whether Allah Messenger said twice or thrice the words Then next after saying about his own age but he then said Then after them after successors or those who would succeed them would come a people who would give evidence before they are asked for it and would be dishonest and not trustworthy who would make vows but would not fulfil them and would be significant in being bulky
- Ibn Abbas Allah be pleased with them reported A woman came to the Messenger of Allah and said Messenger of Allah my mother has died and there is due from her a fast of vow should I fast on her behalf Thereupon he said You see that if your mother had died in debt would it not have been paid on her behalf She said Yes
- I said to Aisha Mother are you listening to what Abu Abd AlRabman is saying She said What is he Saying I said He is saying that Allah Apostle performed Umra during the month of Rajab whereupon she said May Allah grant pardon to Abu Abdulrahman I By my life he the Holy Prophet did not perform Umra during the month of Rajab
- This hadith is transmitted by Ibn Muadh and in the hadith narrated by Ghundar the words during the governorship of Bishr are omitted and there is no mention of the obligatory prayers
- Remember by guidance hidayah the showing of the straight path and remember by setting right sadad the setting right of an arrow
- Narrated AbuDharr If anyone says in the morning O Allah whatever oath I take whatever word I speak and whatever vow I take Thine will precedes all that whatever Thou willeth occurs and whatever Thou dost not will dost not occur
- Salutation to everyone he meets is alms enjoining good is alms forbidding what is disreputable is alms removing what is harmful from the road is alms having sexual intercourse with his wife is alms
- When the Messenger of Allah said Allah listens to him who praises Him he stood long we thought that he had omitted something then he say takbir Allah is most great and prostrate and would sit between the two prostrations so long that we thought that he had omitted something
- Narrated Daylam AlHimyari I asked the Prophet and said Messenger of Allah we live in a cold land in which we do heavy work and we make a liquor from wheat to get strength from if for our work and to stand the cold of our country
- Ahmad Bin Muhammad AlMarwazi said The correct chain of this tradition is Ali Bin AlMubarak from Yahya Bin Abi Kathir from Muhammad Bin AlZubair from his father on the authority of Imran Bin Husain from the Prophet Abu Dawud said By this he a AlMarwazi means that the narrator Sulaiman Bin Arqam had some misunderstanding about this tradition
- Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas The Prophet said If anyone takes a vow but does not name it its atonement is the same as that for an oath if anyone takes a vow to do an act of disobedience its atonement is the same as that for an oath if anyone takes a vow he is unable to fulfill its atonement is the same as that for an oath but if anyone takes a vow he is able to fulfill he must do so
- The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Amr Bin Dinar through a different chain of narrators and to the same effect
- Narrated Muadh Ibn Jabal The Prophet said Fighting is of two kinds The one who seeks Allah favour obeys the leader gives the property he values treats his associates gently and avoids doing mischief will have the reward for all the time whether he is asleep or awake but the one who fights in a boasting spirit for the sake of display and to gain a reputation who disobeys the leader and does mischief in the earth will not return credit or without blame
- A group refused to enter into it and said We escaped from the fire a group intended to enter into it
- I went to the Prophet and said O Messenger of Allah there has come to me news of my husband death and I am in a house far away from the house of my people and the house of my brothers
- Then I went out feeling happy with the ruling of Allah given upon the lips of the Messenger of Allah until when I was in the Masjid or in one of the apartments he called me and said What did you say I told him the story and he said Stay in the house in which the news of your husband death came to you until your waiting period is ever
- It wasnarrated that Anas Bin Malik said The Messenger of Allah said A mans prayer in his house is equal in reward to oneprayer his prayer in the Masjid of the tribes is equal totwenty fiveprayers his prayer in the Masjid in which Friday prayeris offered isequal to five hundred prayers his prayer in Aqsa Masjid is equal tofifty thousand prayers his prayer in my Masjid isequal to fiftythousand prayers and his prayer in the Sacred Masjidis equal to onehundred thousand prayers
- He said Say Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman kathiran wa la yaghfirudh dhunub illa Anta faghfirli maghfiratan min indika warhamni innaka Antal Ghafur AlRahim O Allah I have wronged myself greatly and no one forgives sins but You so grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me for You are the Oft Forgiving Most Merciful
- A man said to him O Messenger ofAllah doesgood bring forth evil The Messenger of Allah remained silentfor a while then he said What did yousay He said I said doesgood bring forth evil TheMessenger of Allah said Good doesnot bring forth anythingbut good but is it really good Everythingthat grows on the banksof a stream may either kill if overeaten or at least make theanimals sick except if an animal eats its fill ofKhadir and thenfaces the sun and then defecates and urinates chews the cud andthen returns to graze again
- Yahya related to me from Malik that both Muhammad ibn al Munkadirand Safwan ibn Sulaym transmitted to him from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibnal Harith at Taymi from Rabia ibn Abdullah ibn al Hudayr that he hadeaten an evening meal with Umar ibn al Khattab who then prayed withoutdoing wudu
- Some men will be driven away from the Hawd as if they werestraying camels and I shall call out to them Will you not come Willyou not come Will you not come and someone will say They changedthings after you so I shall say Then away with them away withthem away with them Purity
- Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar Rahman ibn al Qasimfrom his father from Abd ar Rahman and Mujamma the sons of Yazid ibnJariya al Ansari from Khansa bint Khidam al Ansariya that her fathergave her in marriage and she had been previously married
- Then the man said What are the spoils which He the Blessed the Exalted mentioned in His Book He kept on askinguntil Ibn Abbas was on the verge of being annoyed then Ibn Abbassaid Do you know who this man is like Ibn Sabigh who was beaten byUmar ibn al Khattab because he was notorious for asking foolishquestions
- Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar Rahman ibn Said fromAmr ibn Shuayb that when the Messenger of Allah may Allah bless himand grant him peace came back from Hunayn heading for al Jiirrana the people crowded around so much to question him that his she camelbacked into a tree which became entangled in his cloak and pulled itoff his back
- Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Safiyya bint AbiUbayd from A isha and Hafsa the wives of the Prophet may Allah blesshim and grant him peace that the Messenger of Allah may Allah blesshim and grant him peace said It is not halal for a woman inmourning for someone who has died if she trusts in Allah and the LastDay to abstain from adornment for more than three nights except fora husband
- Malik was asked aboutwhether someone who was forced to eat carrion while he was in ihramshould hunt game and then eat that rather than the carrion and hesaid It is better for him to eat the carrion because Allah theBlessed and Exalted has not given permission for someone in ihram toeither eat game or take it in any situation but He has madeallowances for eating carrion when absolutely necessary
- Malik said It is not halal for anyone whether in ihram or not toeat game which has been killed or sacrificed by some one in ihram because whether it was killed deliberately or by mistake it was notdone in a halal manner and so eating it is not halal
