Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar I saw Allah Messenger opening the prayer with the Takbir and raising his hands to the level of his shoulders at the time of saying the Takbir and on saying the Takbir for bowing he did the same and when he said Allah heard those who sent praises to Him he did the same and then said Rabbana wa laka lhamd
  2. On rising from bowing he said Samia llahu liman hamidah and then while standing straight he used to say Rabbana laka l hamd A Al Laith said The Prophet said Wa laka Alhamd
  3. Narrated Abu Qilaba Once Malik Bin Huwairith said to his friends Shall I show you how Allah Messenger used to offer his prayers And it was not the time for any of the compulsory congregational prayers
  4. So he stood up for the prayer bowed and said the Takbir then he raised his head and remained standing for a while and then prostrated and raised his head for a while sat up for a while
  5. He said to us When you go back to your families pray such and such a prayer at such and such a time pray such and such a prayer at such and such a time and when there is the time for the prayer then only of you should pronounce the Adhan for the prayer and the oldest of you should lead the prayer
  6. The Prophet said Shall I not tell you a thing upon which if you acted you would catch up with those who have surpassed you Nobody would overtake you and you would be better than the people amongst whom you live except those who would do the same
  7. Narrated Abu Huraira The Prophet said A slave of Allah may utter a word which pleases Allah without giving it much importance and because of that Allah will raise him to degrees of reward a slave of Allah may utter a word carelessly which displeases Allah without thinking of its gravity and because of that he will be thrown into the Hel AlFire
  8. Ali narrated that the Messenger of Allah said Indeed in Paradise there are chambers whose outside can be seen from their inside and their inside can be seen from their outside
  9. Abu Saeeed AlKhudri narrated When Allah s Messenger stood for Salat during the night he would say the Takbir Allahu Akbar then say Subhanaka wa bihamdika wa Tabarakasmuka wa Taala Jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk
  10. Glorious You are O Allah and with Your praise and blesses is Your Name and exalted is Your majesty and none has the right to be worshipped but You Then he would say Audhu Bilahi AlSamii AlAlimi min AlShaitanir Rajimi min Hamzihi Wa Nafkhihi wa Nafthihi
  11. He said Pray such and such a prayer at such and such a time pray such and such a prayer at such and such a time
  12. It was narrated that Abu Mahdhurah said I used to call the Adhan for the Messenger of Allah and in the first Adhan of Fajr I used to Say Haya ala Alfalah as salatu khairun minan nawm as salatu khairun minan nawm Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar la ilaha illallah Come to prosperity prayer is better than sleep prayer is better than sleep Allah is the Greatest Allah is the Greatest there is none worthy of worship except Allah
  13. It was narrated that AlAswad said The final words of the Adhan of Bilal were Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar La ilaha illallah Allah is the Greatest Allah is the Greatest there is none worthy of worship except Allah
  14. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ascend it and praying on it and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it then he bowed when he was on top of it then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar then he went back
  15. Audhu bika min an azilla aw adilla aw azlima aw uzlama aw ajhala aw yujhala alaya In the name of Allah my Lord I seek refuge in You from falling into error or going astray or wronging others or being wronged and from behaving or being treated in an ignorant manner
  16. It was narrated that Zaid Bin Thabit said They were commanded to say the tasbih thirty three times following the prayer and to say the tahmid thirty three times and to say the takbir thirty four times then a man from among the Ansar was told in a dream Did the Messenger of Allah command you to say the tasbih thirty three times following the prayer and to say the tahmid thirty three times and to say the takbir thirty four times He said Yes
  17. He said Say the tasbih twenty five times and say the tahmid twenty five times and say the takbir twenty five times and say the tahlil twenty five times and that will make one hundred
  18. The Prophet said If you pray and say SubhanAllah thirty three times Alhamdu lillah thirty three times and Alahu Akbar thirty four times and La illaha illaAllah ten times then you will catch up with those who went ahead of you and will go ahead of those who come after you

It is reported on the authority of Qutaiba Bin Saeed who reported on the authority of Abu Huraira the hadith like that narrated from Zuhri with this exception that in the hadith narrated by Ala and Safwan Bin Sulaim there is no mention of People raise there eyes towards him and in the hadith narrated by Hammam The believers raise their eyes towards him and such like words so long as he plunders is not a believer and these words were added And no exploiter who makes an exploitation is a believer as long as he exploits It therefore avoid and shun these evils
  20. As she finished prayer she said to Urwa Did you hear his words And this is how Allah Messenger used to utter so distinctly that if one intended to count the words uttered he would be able to do so
  21. Sovereignty belongs to Him and all the praise is due to Him and He is Potent over everything one hundred times every day there is a reward of emancipating ten slaves for him and there are recorded hundred virtues to his credit and hundred vices are blotted out from his scroll and that is a safeguard for him against the Satan on that day till evening and no one brings anything more excellent than this except one who has done more than this who utters these words more than one hundred times and does more good acts and he who utters Hallowed be Allah and all praise is due to Him one hundred times a day his sins are obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean
  22. Abu Huraira reported Allah Messenger as saying He who recites in the morning and in the evening these words Hallowed be Allah and all praise is due to Him one hundred times he would not bring on the Day of Resurrection anything excellent than this except one who utters these words or utters more than these words
  23. Amash reported When the Messenger of Allah suffered from illness of which he died and in the hadith transmitted by Ibn Mus hir the words are The Messenger of Allah was brought till he was seated by his Abu Bakrs side and the Apostle led the people in prayer and Abu Bakr was making takbir audible to them and in the hadith transmitted by Isa the words are The Messenger of Allah sat and led the people in prayer and Abu Bakr was by his side and he was making takbir audible to the people
  24. Every utterance of praise of Him is an act of charity every utterance of profession of His Oneness is an act of charity every utterance of profession of His Greatness is an act of charity enjoining good is an act of charity forbidding what is distreputable is an act of charity and two rakahs which one prays in the forenoon will suffice
  25. Abu Zubair reported Abdullah b Zubair used to say La ilaha i AlAllah at the end of every prayer like the hadith narrated by Ibn Numair and he reported it in the end and then reported Ibn Zubair saying The Messenger of Allah uttered La ilaha i AlAllah at the end of every prayer
  26. Imam Muslim said Ashjai narrated it from Sufyan AlThauri who narrated it from AlAswad Bin Qais who narrated it from Uqba who narrated it from AlBara Bin Azib who said We recited with the Prophet the above mentioned verse like this i

I gave him the permission and be did not sit after entering the house when he said At what place in your house you desire me to say prayer I Itban Bin Malik said I pointed to a corner in the house The Messenger of Allah stood at that place for prayer and pronounced Allah o Akbar Allah is the Greatest as an expression for the commencement of prayer
  28. He the Holy Prophet ate out of that and then said Stand up so that I should observe prayer in order to bless you Anas Bin Malik said I stood up on a mat belonging to us which had turned dark on account of its long use
  29. Abu AlAswad AlDailani said While we were present with Abu Dharr he said In the morning alms are due for him ever fast is alms every pilgrimage is alms every utterance of Glory to be Allah is alms every utterance of Allah is most great is alms every utterance of Praise be to Allah is alms
  30. Ali Bin Abi Talib said When the Prophet uttered salutation at the end of the prayer he used to say O Allah forgive me my former and latter sins what I have kept secret and what I have done openly and what I have done extravagance and what You know better than I do
  31. Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas Ishaq Ibn Abdullah Ibn Kinanah reported AlWalid Ibn Utbah or according to the version of Uthman AlWalid Ibn Uqbah the then governor of Medina sent me to Ibn Abbas to ask him about the prayer for rain offered by the Messenger of Allah
  32. My Lord said to me Muhammad If I make a decision it is not withdrawn and I shall not destroy them by prevailing famine and I shall not give their control to an enemy except from among themselves who exterminates them en masse even if they are stormed from all sides of the earth only a section of them will destroy another section and a section will captive another section
  33. When the sword is used among my people it will not be withdrawn from them till the Day of Resurrection and the Last Hour will not come before the tribes of my people attach themselves to the polytheists and tribes of my people worship idols
  34. There will be among my people thirty great liars each of them asserting that he is Allahs prophet where as I am the seal of the Prophet s after whom me there will be no prophet and a section of my people will continue to hold to the truth according to the Ibn Isa version will continue to dominate the agreed version goes and will not be injured by those who oppose them till Allah command comes
  35. The people asked Messenger of Allah How is it that while they are easy those who act upon them are few He replied The Devil comes to one of you when he goes to bed and he makes him sleep before he utters them and he comes to him while he is engaged in prayer and calls a need to his mind before he utters them
  36. When he woke up at night he uttered Allah is Most Great ten times and uttered Praise be to Allah ten times and said Glory be to Allah and I begin with His praise ten times and said Glory be to the King the Most Holy ten times and asked Allah pardon ten times and said There is no god but Allah ten times and then said O Allah I seek refuge in Thee from the strait of the Day of resurrection ten times
  37. Then Bilal wanted to utter the iqamah but the Prophet said to him The man of Suda has called the adhan and he who calls the adhan utters the iqamah
  38. He said When the Messenger of Allah stood up to pray he raised his hands so as to bring them opposite his shoulders and uttered the takbir Allah is the most great until every bone rested in its place properly then re recited some verses from the then he uttered the takbir Allah is most great raising his hands so as to bring them opposite his shoulders then he bowed placing the palms of his hands on his knees and keeping himself straight neither raising nor lowering his head then raised his head saying Allah listens to him who praise Him then raised his hands so as to bring them exactly opposite to his shoulders then uttered Allah is most great then lowered himself to the ground in prostration keeping his arms away from his sides then raised his head bent his left foot and sat on it and opened the toes when he prostrated then he uttered Allah is most great then raised his head bent his left foot and sat on it so that every bone returned to its place properly then he did the same in the second rakah
  39. He further said Then he sat down at the end of two rakahs when he was about to stand after two rakahs he uttered the takbir then he offered the last two rakahs of the prayer
  40. Narrated AbuHurayrah When the Messenger of Allah uttered the takbir Allah is most great for prayer in the beginning he raised his hands opposite to his shoulders and when he bowed he did like that and when he raised his head to prostrate he did like that and when he got up at the end of two rakahs he did like that
  41. When he stood up be uttered the takbir Allah is most great ten times and uttered Praise be to Allah ten times and uttered Glory be to Allah ten times and uttered There is no god but Allah ten times and sought forgiveness ten times and said O Allah forgive me and guide me and give me sustenance and keep me well and he sought refuge in Allah from the hardship of standing before Allah on the Day of Judgment
  42. Narrated Some Companions of the Prophet AbuSalih reported on the authority of some Companions of the Prophet The Prophet said to a person what do you say in prayer He replied I first recite tashahhud supplication recited in sitting position and then I say O Allah I ask Thee for Paradise and I seek refuge in Thee from Hel AlFire but I do not understand your sound and the sound of Muadh what you say or he says in prayer
  43. Abu bakr Bin Abdulrahman and abu Salamah said Abu Hurairah would utter the takbir in every prayer whether obligatory or non obligatory He would utter the takbir when he stood and he would utter the takbir when he bowed then he would say Allah listens to him who praises Him he then would say before prostrating himself Our Lord to Thee be praise then he would say while falling in prostration Allah is most great he then would utter the takbir when he raised his head after prostration and then utter the takbir when he prostrated and then utter takbir the takbir when he stood up at the end of two rakahs after sitting down
  44. He said When you get up to pray utter the takbir Allah is most great then recite a convenient portion of the then bow and remain quietly in that position then sit and remain quietly in that position then raise yourself and stand erect then prostrate yourself and remain quietly in that position then sit and remain quietly in that position then do that throughout all your prayer
  45. Massuod said We used to salute the Messenger of Allah while he was engaged in prayer and he would respond to our salutation but when we returned from the Negas we saluted him and he did not respond to us
  46. AbuMusa said Do you not know how you utter them in your prayer The Messenger of Allah addressed us and taught us and explained to us our way of doing and taught us our prayer
  47. AbuUbaydah reported on the authority of his father Abdullah ibn Massuod the Messenger of Allah as saying When you offer the prayer and you are in doubt about the number of rakahs whether offered three or four and you have prayed four rakahs in all probability in your opinion you should recite tashahhud and make two prostrations while you are sitting before giving the salutation
  48. Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu z Zinad from al Araj fromAbu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah may Allah bless him and granthim peace said When one of you says Amin and the angels in thesky say Amin so that one coincides with the other his previouswrong actions are forgiven him
  49. Malik related to me from Abu z Zinad from al Araj from AbuHurayra that the Messenger of Allah may Allah bless him and grant himpeace said Do not go out to meet the caravans for trade do not bidagainst each other outbidding in order to raise the price and atownsman must not buy on behalf of a man of the desert and do not tieup the udders of camels and sheep so that they appear to have a lot ofmilk for a person who buys them after that has two recourses open tohim after he milks them
  50. Malik said The explanation of the words of theMessenger of Allah may Allah bless him and grant him peace accordingto what we think and Allah knows best do not bid against eachother is that it is forbidden for a man to offer a price over theprice of his brother when the seller has inclined to the bargainer andmade conditions about the weight of the gold and he has declaredhimself not liable for faults and such things by which it isrecognised that the seller wants to make a transaction with thebargainer
