SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5581 | Narrated Aisha: We set out with Allah Messenger ﷺ shortly before the appearance of the new moon of Dhi AlHijja and he said; Whoever wants to assume Ihram for Umra may do so; and whoever wants to assume Ihram for Hajj may do so. Had not I brought the Hadi with me; I would have assumed Ihram for Umra. Some of the people assumed Ihram for Umra while others for Hajj. I was amongst those who had assumed Ihram for Umra. I got my menses before entering Mecca; and was menstruating till the day of Arafat. I complained to Allah Messenger ﷺ about it; he said; Abandon your Umra; undo and comb your hair; and assume Ihram for Hajj. So; I did that accordingly. When it was the night of Hasba day of departure from Mina ; the Prophet ﷺ sent Abdulrahman with me to AlTanim. The sub-narrator adds: He Abdulrahman let her ride behind him. And she assumed Ihram for Umra in lieu of the abandoned one. Aisha completed her Hajj and Umra; and no Hadi; Sadaqa charity ; or fasting was obligatory for her. | The Chapter on Alihram In Alhajj in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Umra after performing Hajj without having a Hady in Sahih AlBukhari |

SahihMuslim-017-001-24477 | Abdullah Bin Masud reported: He who likes to meet Allah tomorrow as Muslim; he should persevere in observing these prayers; when a call is announced for them; for Allah has laid down for your Prophet the paths of right guidance; and these prayers are among the paths of right guidance. If you were to pray in your houses as this man why stays away from the Masjid prays in his house; you would abandon the practice of your Prophet; and if you were to abandon the practice of your Prophet; you would go astray. No man purifies himself; doing it well; then makes for one of those Masjids without Allah recording a blessing for him for every step he takes raising him a degree for it; and effacing a sin from him for it. Abu Dawud said: In this tradition Ibn Uyainah also added the words: He commander her to abandon prayer during her menstrual period. This is a misunderstanding on the part of Ibn Uyainah. Everything with which a man amuses himself is vain except three things : a man training of his horse; his playing with his wife; and his shooting with his bow and arrow.
