But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise.

We said: Even if we cannot do it; we still want to hear about it. He said: When the sun reached the same height in the east as it reaches in the west at thetime of Asr; he would pray two rakahs; and when the sun reached the same height in theeast as it reaches in the west at thetime for Zuhr he would pray four Rakahs. He would pray four Rakahs before Zuhr and two after; and he would pray four Rakahs before Asr; separating each two Rakahs with Taslim upon the angels who are close to Allah; and the prophets; and those who follow them of the believers and Muslims. He prayed Subh when the dawn appeared; and he prayed Zuhr when the sun had passed its zenith ; and he prayed Asr when he saw that the shadow of a thing was equal to its height; then he prayed Maghrib when the sub had set and it is permissible for the fasting person to eat. Then he prayed Isha when the twilight had disappeared. Then he came to him the following day and prayed Subh when it had got a little lighter; then he prayed Zuhr when the shadow of a thing was equal to its height; then he prayed Asr when the shadow of a thing was equal to twice its height; then he prayed Maghrib at the same time as before; then he prayed Isha when a short period of the night had passed. SunanAlNasai-017-001-11779		AlHussain Bin Bashir Bin Sallam narrated that his father said: Muhammad Bin Ali and I entered upon Jabir Bin Abdullah AlAnsari. We said to him: Tell us about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. That was at the time of AlAlHajjaj Bin Yousif. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out and prayed Zuhr when the sun had passed its zenith and the shadow of a thing was the length of a sandal-strap. Then he prayed Asr when the shadow of a man was the length of a sandal-strap plus his height. Then he prayed Maghrib when the sun had set. Then he prayed Isha when the twilight disappeared. Then he prayed Fajr when dawn broke. The next day he prayed Zuhr when a man shadow was equal to his height. Then he prayed Asr when a man shadow was twice his height; and the time between the prayer and sunset lasted as long as it takes a swift rider to reach Dhu AlHulaifa. Then he prayed Maghrib when the sun set; then he prayed Isha when one-third or one-half of the night had passed - One of the narrators Zaid; was not sure - then he prayed Fajr when it had become bright. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25435		Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas: Saeed Ibn Jubayr said: I said to Abdullah Ibn Abbas: AbulAbbas; I am surprised to see the difference of opinion amongst the companions of the Apostle ﷺ about the wearing of ihram by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he made it obligatory. He replied: I am aware of it more than the people. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed only one hajj. Hence the people differed among themselves. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out from Medina with the intention of performing hajj. When he offered two rakahs of prayer in the Masjid at Dh AlHulayfah; he made it obligatory by wearing it. At the same meeting; he raised his voice in the talbiyah for hajj; when he finished his two rakahs. Some people heard it and I retained it from him. He then rode on the camel ; and when it the camel stood up; with him on its back; he raised his voice in the talbiyah and some people heard it at that moment. This is because the people were coming in groups; so they heard him raising his voice calling the talbiyah when his camel stood up with him on its back; and they thought that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had raised his voice in the talbiyah when his camel stood up with him on its back. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ proceeded further; when he ascended the height of AlBayda he raised his voice in the talbiyah. Some people heard it at that moment. They thought that he had raised his voice in the talbiyah when he ascended the height of AlBayda. I swear by Allah; he raised his voice in the talbiyah at the place where he prayed; and he raised his voice in the talbiyah when his camel stood up with him on its back; and he raised his voice in the talbiyah when he ascended the height of AlBayda. Saeed Ibn Jubayr said; He who follows the view of Ibn Abbas raises his voice in talbiyah and ihram at the place of is prayer after he finishes two rakahs of his prayer. MuwataMalik-017-001-36200		Yahya related to me from Malik from Yazid Ibn Ziyad that Abdullah Ibn Rafi; the mawla of Umm Salamah; the wife of the Prophet; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; asked Abu Huraira about the time of the prayer. Abu Huraira said; Let me tell you. Pray dhuhr when the length of your shadow matches your height; asr when your shadow is twice your height; maghrib when the sun has set; isha in the first third of the night; and subh in the very first light of dawn; i.e. when the dawn has definitely come.
