SahihAlBukhari-017-001-158 | Narrated Sahl Bin Sad: The Prophet ﷺ went out to affect a reconciliation between the tribes of Bani Amr Bin Auf and the time of the prayer became due; Bilal went to Abu Bakr and said; The Prophet ﷺ is detained. Will you lead the people in the prayer? Abu Bakr replied; Yes; if you wish. So Bilal pronounced the Iqama and Abu Bakr led the prayer. In the meantime the Prophet ﷺ came crossing the rows of the praying people till he stood in the first row and the people started clapping. Abu Bakr never looked hither and thither during the prayer but when the people clapped too much; he looked back and saw the Prophet ﷺ in the first row. The Prophet ﷺ waved him to remain at his place; but Abu Bakr raised both his hands and sent praises to Allah and then retreated and the Prophet ﷺ went forward and led the prayer. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-175 | Narrated Sahl Bin Sad: The news about the differences amongst the people of Bani Amr Bin Auf at Quba reached Allah Apostle and so he went to them along with some of his companions to affect a reconciliation. Allah Apostle was delayed there and the time for the prayer became due. Bilal came to Abu Bakr! and said; O Abu Bakr! Allah Messenger ﷺ is detained there and the time for the prayer is due. Will you lead the people in prayer? Abu Bakr replied; Yes; if you wish. So Bilal pronounced the Iqama and Abu Bakr went forward and the people said Takbir. In the meantime; Allah Messenger ﷺ came piercing through the rows till he stood in the first row and the people started clapping. Abu Bakr; would never look hither and thither during the prayer but when the people clapped much he looked back and saw Allah Messenger ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ beckoned him to carry on. Abu Bakr raised both his hands; praised Allah and retreated till he stood in the row and Allah Messenger ﷺ went forward and led the people in the prayer. When he had finished the prayer; he addressed the people and said; O people! Why did you start clapping when something happened to you in the prayer? Clapping is for women. Whenever one is confronted with something unusual in the prayer one should say; Sub Han Allah. Then the Prophet looked towards Abu Bakr and asked; What prevented you from leading the prayer when I beckoned you to carry on? Abu Bakr replied; It does not befit the son of AlQuhafa to lead the prayer in the presence of Allah Messenger ﷺ. | The Chapter on Prayers Rows And Clapping The Hands in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To raise the hands in Salat because of necessity in Sahih AlBukhari

And then I looked and saw a large multitude of people; so I asked Gabriel; Are these people my followers? He said; No; but look towards the horizon. I looked and saw a very large multitude of people. Gabriel said. Those are your followers; and those are seventy thousand persons in front of them who will neither have any reckoning of their accounts nor will receive any punishment. I asked; Why? He said; For they used not to treat themselves with branding cauterization nor with Ruqya get oneself treated by the recitation of some Verses of the Quran and not to see evil omen in things; and they used to put their trust only in their Lord. On hearing that; Ukasha Bin Mihsan got up and said to the Prophet ; Invoke Allah to make me one of them. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Allah; make him one of them. The one near my head asked the other. What is wrong with this man? The latter replied the is under the effect of magic The first one asked; Who has worked magic on him? The other replied Labid Bin AlAsam; a man from Bani Zuraiq who was an ally of the Jews and was a hypocrite. The first one asked; What material did he use ? The other replied; A comb and the hair stuck to it. The first one asked; Where is that ? The other replied. In a skin of pollen of a male date palm tree kept under a stone in the well of Dharwan So the Prophet ﷺ went to that well and took out those things and said That was the well which was shown to me in a dream Its water looked like the infusion of Henna leaves and its date-palm trees looked like the heads of devils. He started reciting again and the horse was startled and troubled once again. Then he stopped reciting and his son; Yahya was beside the horse. He was afraid that the horse might trample on him. When he took the boy away and looked towards the sky; he could not see it. The next morning he informed the Prophet who said; Recite; O Ibn Hudair! Recite; O Ibn Hudair! Ibn Hudair replied; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! My son; Yahya was near the horse and I was afraid that it might trample on him; so I looked towards the sky; and went to him. When I looked at the sky; I saw something like a cloud containing what looked like lamps; so I went out in order not to see it. The Prophet ﷺ said; Do you know what that was? Ibn Hudair replied; No. The Prophet ﷺ said; Those were Angels who came near to you for your voice and if you had kept on reciting till dawn; it would have remained there till morning when people would have seen it as it would not have disappeared. | The Chapter on Horses And Makkah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The descent of AlSakinah and angels at the time of the recitation of the Quran in Sahih AlBukhari

Allah Messenger ﷺ looked at her. He looked at her carefully and fixed his glance on her and then lowered his head. When the lady saw that he did not say anything; she sat down. A man from his companions got up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! If you are not in need of her; then marry her to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Have you got anything to offer? The man said; No; by Allah; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The Prophet ﷺ said to him ; Go to your family and see if you have something. The man went and returned; saying; No; by Allah; I have not found anything. Allah Apostle said; Go again and look for something; even if it is an iron ring. He went again and returned; saying; No; by Allah; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I could not find even an iron ring; but this is my Izar waist sheet. He had no rida. He added; I give half of it to her. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; What will she do with your Izar? If you wear it; she will be naked; and if she wears it; you will be naked. So that man sat down for a long while and then got up to depart. When Allah Messenger ﷺ saw him going; he ordered that he be called back. When he came; the Prophet ﷺ said; How much of the Quran do you know? He said; I know such Surat and such Sura; counting them. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3774 | Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Allah Messenger ﷺ arrived at Medina with Abu Bakr; riding behind him on the same camel. Abu Bakr was an elderly man known to the people; while Allah Messenger ﷺ was a youth that was unknown. Thus; if a man met Abu Bakr; he would say; O Abu Bakr! Who is this man in front of you? Abu Bakr would say; This man shows me the Way; One would think that Abu Bakr meant the road; while in fact; Abu Bakr meant the way of virtue and good. Then Abu Bakr looked behind and saw a horse-rider pursuing them. He said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is a horse-rider pursuing us. The Prophet ﷺ looked behind and said; O Allah! Cause him to fall down. So the horse threw him down and got up neighing. After that the rider; Suraqa said; O Allah Prophet! Order me whatever you want. The Prophet said; Stay where you are and do not allow anybody to reach us. So; in the first part of the day Suraqa was an enemy of Allah Prophet and in the last part of it; he was a protector. Then Allah Apostle alighted by the side of the AlHarra and sent a message to the Ansar; and they came to Allah Prophet and Abu Bakr; and having greeted them; they said; Ride your camels safe and obeyed. Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr rode and the Ansar; carrying their arms; surrounded them. The news that Allah Prophet had come circulated in Medina. The people came out and were eagerly looking and saying Allah Prophet has come! Allah Prophet has come! So the Prophet ﷺ went on till he alighted near the house of Abu Ayoub. While the Prophet ﷺ was speaking with the family members of Abu Ayoub ; Abdullah Bin Salam heard the news of his arrival while he himself was picking the dates for his family from his family garden. He hurried to the Prophet ﷺ carrying the dates which he had collected for his family from the garden. He listened to Allah Prophet and then went home. Then Allah Prophet said; Which is the nearest of the houses of our kith and kin? Abu Ayoub replied; Mine; O Allah Prophet! This is my house and this is my gate. The Prophet ﷺ said; Go and prepare a place for our midday rest. Abu Ayoub said; Get up both of you with Allah Blessings. So when Allah Prophet went into the house; Abdullah Bin Salam came and said I testify that you i.e. Muhammad are Apostle of Allah and that you have come with the Truth. The Jews know well that I am their chief and the son of their chief and the most learned amongst them and the son of the most learned amongst them. So send for them i.e. Jews and ask them about me before they know that I have embraced Islam; for if they know that they will say about me things which are not correct. So Allah Messenger ﷺ sent for them; and they came and entered. Allah Messenger ﷺ said to them; O the group of Jews! Woe to you: be afraid of Allah. By Allah except Whom none has the right to be worshipped; you people know for certain; that I am Apostle of Allah and that I have come to you with the Truth; so embrace Islam. The Jews replied; We do not know this. So they said this to the Prophet and he repeated it thrice. Then he said; What sort of a man is Abdullah Bin Salam amongst you? They said; He is our chief and the son of our chief and the most learned man; and the son of the most learned amongst us. He said; What would you think if he should embrace Islam? They said; Allah forbid! He can not embrace Islam. He said; What would you think if he should embrace Islam? They said; Allah forbid! He can not embrace Islam. He said; What would you think if he should embrace Islam? They said; Allah forbid! He can not embrace Islam. He said; O Ibn Salam! Come out to them. He came out and said; O the group of Jews! Be afraid of Allah except Whom none has the right to be worshipped. You know for certain that he is Apostle of Allah and that he has brought a True Religion! They said; You tell a lie. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3957 | Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: While we were with Allah Messenger ﷺ who was distributing i.e. some property ; there came Dhu AlKhuwaisira; a man from the tribe of Bani Tamim and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Do Justice. The Prophet said; Woe to you! Who could do justice if I did not? I would be a desperate loser if I did not do justice. Umar said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allow me to chop his head off. The Prophet ﷺ said; Leave him; for he has companions who pray and fast in such a way that you will consider your fasting negligible in comparison to theirs. They recite Quran but it does not go beyond their throats i.e. they do not act on it and they will desert Islam as an arrow goes through a victim body; so that the hunter; on looking at the arrow blade; would see nothing on it; he would look at its Risaf and see nothing: he would look at its Na;di and see nothing; and he would look at its Qudhadh 1 and see nothing neither meat nor blood ; for the arrow has been too fast even for the blood and excretions to smear. The sign by which they will be recognized is that among them there will be a black man; one of whose arms will resemble a woman breast or a lump of meat moving loosely. Those people will appear when there will be differences amongst the people. I testify that I heard this narration from Allah Messenger ﷺ and I testify that Ali Bin Abi Talib fought with such people; and I was in his company. He ordered that the man described by the Prophet ﷺ should be looked for. The man was brought and I looked at him and noticed that he looked exactly as the Prophet ﷺ had described him. | The Chapter on Almaghazi And Hunain in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The signs of Prophethood in Islam in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4040 | Narrated Abdulrahman Bin Auf: While I was standing in the row on the day of the battle of Badr; I looked to my right and my left and saw two young Ansari boys; and I wished I had been stronger than they. One of them called my attention saying; O Uncle! Do you know Abu Jahl? I said; Yes; What do you want from him; O my nephew? He said; I have been informed that he abuses Allah Messenger ﷺ. By Him in Whose Hands my life is; if I should see him; then my body will not leave his body till either of us meet his fate. I was astonished at that talk. Then the other boy called my attention saying the same as the other had said. After a while I saw Abu Jahl walking amongst the people. I said to the boys ; Look! This is the man you asked me about. So; both of them attacked him with their swords and struck him to death and returned to Allah Apostle to inform him of that. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked; Which of you has killed him? Each of them said; I Have killed him. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked; Have you cleaned your swords? They said; No. He then looked at their swords and said; No doubt; you both have killed him and the spoils of the deceased will be given to Muadh Bin Amr Bin AlJamuh. So; Abu Talha took me letting me ride behind him while I was a boy nearing the age of puberty. I used to serve Allah Messenger ﷺ when he stopped to rest. I heard him saying repeatedly; O Allah! I seek refuge with You from distress and sorrow; from helplessness and laziness; from miserliness and cowardice; from being heavily in debt and from being overcome by men. Then we reached Khaibar; and when Allah enabled him to conquer the Fort of Khaibar ; the beauty of Safiya bint Huyai Bin Akhtab was described to him. Her husband had been killed while she was a bride. So Allah Messenger ﷺ selected her for himself and took her along with him till we reached a place called Sad-AsSahba; where her menses were over and he took her for his wife. Haris a kind of dish was served on a small leather sheet. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ told me to call those who were around me. So; that was the marriage banquet of Allah Messenger ﷺ and Safiya. Then we left for Medina. I saw Allah Apostle folding a cloak round the hump of the camel so as to make a wide space for Safiya to sit on behind him He sat beside his camel letting his knees for Safiya to put her feet on so as to mount the camel. Then; we proceeded till we approached Medina; he looked at Uhud mountain and said; This is a mountain which loves us and is loved by us. Then he looked at Medina and said; O Allah! SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4768 | Narrated Urwa from Aisha: The wives of Allah Messenger ﷺ were in two groups. One group consisted of Aisha; Hafsa; Safiya and Sauda; and the other group consisted of Umm Salamah and the other wives of Allah Messenger ﷺ. The Muslims knew that Allah Messenger ﷺ loved Aisha; so if any of them had a gift and wished to give to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; he would delay it; till Allah Messenger ﷺ had come to Aisha home and then he would send his gift to Allah Messenger ﷺ in her home. The group of Umm Salamah discussed the matter together and decided that Umm Salamah should request Allah Messenger ﷺ to tell the people to send their gifts to him in whatever wife house he was. Umm Salamah told Allah Messenger ﷺ of what they had said; but he did not reply. Then they those wives asked Umm Salamah about it. She said; He did not say anything to me. They asked her to talk to him again. She talked to him again when she met him on her day; but he gave no reply. When they asked her; she replied that he had given no reply. They said to her; Talk to him till he gives you a reply. When it was her turn; she talked to him again. He then said to her; Do not hurt me regarding Aisha; as the Divine Inspirations do not come to me on any of the beds except that of Aisha. On that Umm Salamah said; I repent to Allah for hurting you. Then the group of Umm Salamah called Fatima; the daughter of Allah Messenger ﷺ and sent her to Allah Messenger ﷺ to say to him; Your wives request to treat them and the daughter of Abu Bakr on equal terms. Then Fatima conveyed the message to him. The Prophet ﷺ said; O my daughter! Dont you love whom I love? She replied in the affirmative and returned and told them of the situation. They requested her to go to him again but she refused. They then sent Zainab bint Jahsh who went to him and used harsh words saying; Your wives request you to treat them and the daughter of Ibn Abu Quhafa on equal terms. On that she raised her voice and abused Aisha to her face so much so that Allah Messenger ﷺ looked at Aisha to see whether she would retort. Aisha started replying to Zainab till she silenced her. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6421 | Narrated Jafar Bin Amr Bin Umaiya: I went out with Ubaidullah Bin Adi AlKhaiyar. When we reached Hims i.e. a town in Syria ; Ubaidullah Bin Adi said to me ; Would you like to see Wahshi so that we may ask him about the killing of Hamza? I replied; Yes. Wahshi used to live in Hims. We enquired about him and somebody said to us; He is that in the shade of his palace; as if he were a full water skin. So we went up to him; and when we were at a short distance from him; we greeted him and he greeted us in return. Ubaidullah was wearing his turban and Wahshi could not see except his eyes and feet. Ubaidullah said; O Wahshi! Do you know me? Wahshi looked at him and then said; No; by Allah! But I know that Adi Bin AlKhiyar married a woman called Um Qital; the daughter of Abu AlIs; and she delivered a boy for him at Mecca; and I looked for a wet nurse for that child. Once I carried that child along with his mother and then I handed him over to her; and your feet resemble that child feet. Then Ubaidullah uncovered his face and said to Wahshi ; Will you tell us the story of the killing of Hamza? Wahshi replied Yes; Hamza killed Tuaima Bin Adi Bin AlKhaiyar at Badr battle so my master; Jubair Bin Mutim said to me; If you kill Hamza in revenge for my uncle; then you will be set free. When the people set out for the battle of Uhud in the year of Ainain..Ainain is a mountain near the mountain of Uhud; and between it and Uhud there is a valley.. I went out with the people for the battle. When the army aligned for the fight; Siba came out and said; Is there any Muslim to accept my challenge to a duel? Hamza Bin Abdul Muttalib came out and said; O Siba. O Ibn Um Anmar; the one who circumcises other ladies! Do you challenge Allah and His Apostle? Then Hamza attacked and killed him; causing him to be non-extant like the bygone yesterday. I hid myself under a rock; and when he i.e. Hamza came near me; I threw my spear at him; driving it into his umbilicus so that it came out through his buttocks; causing him to die. When all the people returned to Mecca; I too returned with them. I stayed in Mecca till Islam spread in it i.e. Mecca. Then I left for Taif; and when the people of Taif sent their messengers to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; I was told that the Prophet ﷺ did not harm the messengers; So I too went out with them till I reached Allah Messenger ﷺ. When he saw me; he said; Are you Wahshi? I said; Yes. He said; Was it you who killed Hamza? I replied; What happened is what you have been told of. He said; Can you hide your face from me? So I went out when Allah Messenger ﷺ died; and Mousailamah AlKadhdhab appeared claiming to be a prophet. I said; I will go out to Mousailamah so that I may kill him; and make amends for killing Hamza. So I went out with the people to fight Mousailamah and his followers and then famous events took place concerning that battle. Suddenly I saw a man i.e. Mousailamah standing near a gap in a wall. He looked like an AlAshcolored camel and his hair was dishevelled. So I threw my spear at him; driving it into his chest in between his breasts till it passed out through his shoulders; and then an Ansari man attacked him and struck him on the head with a sword. I said; They say it was; Read; in the Name of your Lord Who created; i.e. Surat AlAlaq the Clot. On that; Abu Salama said; I asked Jabir Bin Abdullah about that; saying the same as you have said; whereupon he said; I will not tell you except what Allah Messenger ﷺ had told us. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; I was in seclusion in the cave of Hiram; and after I completed the limited period of my seclusion. I came down from the cave and heard a voice calling me. I looked to my right; but saw nothing. Then I looked up and saw something. So I went to Khadija the Prophet wife and told her to wrap me up and pour cold water on me. So they wrapped me up and poured cold water on me. Then; O you; Muhammad wrapped up! SahihMuslim-017-001-21516 | Umar Bin AlKhattab Allah be pleased with him reported: When Allah Apostle ﷺ kept himself away from his wives; I entered the Masjid; and found people striking the ground with pebblesand saying: Allah Messenger ﷺ has divorced his wives; and that was before they were commanded to observe seclusion Umar said to himself: I must find this actual position today. So I went to Aisha Allah be pleased with her and said to her : Daughter of Abu Bakr; have you gone to the extent of giving trouble to Allah Messenger ﷺ ? Thereupon she said: Son of AlKhattab; you have nothing to do with me; and I have nothing to do with you. You should look to your own receptacle. He Umar said: I visited Hafsa daughter of Umar; and said to her: Hafsa; the news has reached me that you cause Allah Messenger ﷺ trouble. You know that Allah Messenger ﷺ does not love you; and had I not been your father he would have divorced you. On hearing this she wept bitterly. I said to her: Where is Allah Messenger ﷺ ? Shesaid: He is in the attic room. I went in and found Rabah; the servant of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; sitting on the thresholds of the window dangling his feet on the hollow wood of the date-palm with the help of which Allah Messenger ﷺ climbed to the apartment and came down. I cried: 0 Rabah; seek permission for me from Allah Messenger way ﷺ. Rabah cast a glance at the apartment and then looked toward me but said nothing. I again said: Rabah; seek permission for me from Allah Messenger ﷺ. Rabah looked towards the apartment and then cast a glance at me; but said nothig. I then raised my voice and said: 0 Rabah; seek permission for me from Allah Messenger ﷺ. I think that Allah Messenger ﷺ is under the impression that I have come for the sake of Hafsa. By Allah; if Allah Messenger ﷺ would command me to strike her neck; I would certainly strike her neck. I raised my voice and he pointed me to climb up and get into his apartment. I visited Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and he was lying on a mat. I sat down and he drew up his lower garment over him and he had nothing else over him; and that the mat had left its marks on his sides. I looked with my eyes in the store room of Allah Messenger ﷺ. I found only a handful of barley equal to one sa and an equal quantity of the leaves of Mimosa Flava placed in the nook of the cell; and a semi-tanned leather bag hanging in one side ; and I was moved to tears on seeing this extremely austere living of the Holy Piophet ; and he said: Ibn AlKhattab; what wakes you weep? I said: Apostle of Allah; why should I not shed tears? This mat has left its marks on your sides and I do not see in your store room except these few things that I have seen; Ceasar and Closroes are leading their lives in plenty whereas you are Allah Messenger. His chosen one; and that is your store! He said: Ibn AlKhattab; arent you satisfied that for us there should be the prosperity of the Hereafter; and for them there should be the prosperity of this world? I said: Yes. And as I had entered I had seen the signs of anger on his face; and I therefore; said: Messenger of Allah; what trouble do you feel from your wives; and if youhave divorced them; verily Allah is with you; His angels; Gabriel; Mikail; I and Abu Bakr and the believers are with you. And seldom I talked and which I uttered on that day I hoped that Allah would testify to my words that I uttered. And so the verse of option Ayat AlTakhyir was revealed. Maybe his Lord; if he divorce you; will give him in your place wives better than you... Ixv. 5. And if you back up one another against him; then surely Allah is his Patron; and Gabriel and the righteous believers; and the angels after that are the aidera lvi. 4. And it was Aisha; daughter of Abu Bakr; and Hafsa who had prevailed upon all the wives of Allah Prophet way ﷺ for pressing them for mote money. I said: Messenger of Allah; have you divorced them? He said: No. I said: Messenger of Allah; I entered the Masjid and found the Muslims playing with pebbles absorbed in thought and saying: Allah Messenger has divorced his wives. Should I get down and inform there that you have not divorced them? He said: Yes; if you so like. And I went on talking to him until I found the signs of anger disappeared on his face and his seriousness was changed to a happy mood and as a result thereof his face had the natural tranquillity upon it and he laughed and his teeth were the most charming among the teeth of all people. Then Allah Apostle ﷺ climbed down and I also climbed down and catching hold of the wood of the palm-tree and Allah Messenger ﷺ came down with such ease as if he was walking on the ground; not touching anything with his hand to get support. I said: Messenger of Allah; you remained in your apartment for twenty-nine days. He said: At times the month consists of twenty-nine days. I stood at the door of the Masjid and I called out at the top of my voice: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has not divorced his wives and it was on this occasion that this verse was revealed: And if any matter pertaining to peace or alarm comes within their ken; they broadcast it; whereas; if they would refer it to the Apostle and those who have been entrusted with authority amongst them; those of them who are engaged in obtaining intelligence would indeed know what to do with it iv 83. And it was I who understood this matter; and Allah revealed the verse pertaining to option given to the Prophet ﷺ in regard to the retaining or divorcing of his wives. | The Chapter on Wives And Relationship Mothers in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 5 in Sahih Muslim

So the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; sat down; and I stood up and went to a sack of ours. I looked in it for something and found a small cucumber and broke it. Then I brought it to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said; From where did you get this? I said; We brought it from Madina; Messenger of Allah. Jabir continued; We had a friend of ours with us whom we used to equip to go out to guard our mounts. I gave him what was necessary and then he turned about to go to the mounts and he was wearing two threadbare cloaks of his. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; looked at him and said; Does he have two garments other than these? I said; Yes; Messenger of Allah. He has two garments in the bag. I gave them to him. He said; Let him go and put them on. I let him go to put them on. As he turned to go; the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; exclaimed; May Allah strike his neck. Isnt that better for him?
