SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3724 | Narrated Ibn Abbas: When Abu Dhar received the news of the Advent of the Prophet ﷺ he said to his brother; Ride to this valley of Mecca and try to find out the truth of the person who claims to be a prophet who is informed of the news of Heaven. Listen to what he says and come back to me. So his brother set out and came to the Prophet ﷺ and listened to some of his talks; and returned to Abu Dhar and said to him. I have seen him enjoining virtuous behavior and saying something that is not poetry. Abu Dhar said; You have not satisfied me as to what I wanted. He then took his journey-food and carried a waterskin of his; containing some water till be reached Mecca. He went to the Masjid and searched for the Prophet and though he did not know him; he hated to ask anybody about him. When a part of the night had passed away; Ali saw him and knew that he was a stranger. So when Abu Dhar saw Ali; he followed him; and none of them asked his companion about anything; and when it was dawn; Abu Dhar took his journey food and his water-skin to the Masjid and stayed there all the day long without being perceived by the Prophet; and when it was evening; he came back to his retiring place. Ali passed by him and said; Has the man not known his dwelling place yet? So Ali awakened him and took him with him and none of them spoke to the other about anything. When it was the third day. Ali did the same and Abu Dhar stayed with him. Then Ali said Will you tell me what has brought you here? Abu Dhar said; If you give me a firm promise that you will guide me; then I will tell you. Ali promised him; and he informed Ali about the matter. Ali said; It is true; and he is the Messenger of Allah. Next morning when you get up; accompany me; and if I see any danger for you; I will stop as if to pass water; but if I go on; follow me and enter the place which I will enter. Abu Dhar did so; and followed Ali till he entered the place of the Prophet; and Abu Dhar went in with him; Abu Dhar listened to some of the Prophet talks and embraced Islam on the spot. The Prophet ﷺ said to him; Go back to your people and inform them about it till you receive my order. Abu Dhar said; By Him in Whose Hand my life is; I will proclaim my conversion loudly amongst them i.e. the pagans. So he went out; and when he reached the Masjid; he said as loudly as possible; I bear witness that None has the right to be worshipped except Allah; and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. The People got up and beat him painfully. Then AlAbbas came and knelt over him to protect him and said to the people ; Woe to you! Dont you know that this man belongs to the tribe of Ghifar and your trade to Sham is through their way? So he rescued him from them. Abu Dhar again did the same the next day. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6391 | Narrated AlBara: Allah Messenger ﷺ sent Abdullah Bin Atik and Abdullah Bin Utba with a group of men to Abu Rafi to kill him. They proceeded till they approached his castle; whereupon Abdullah Bin Atik said to them; Wait here ; and in the meantime I will go and see. Abdullah said later on; I played a trick in order to enter the castle. By chance; they lost a donkey of theirs and came out carrying a flaming light to search for it. I was afraid that they would recognize me; so I covered my head and legs and pretended to answer the call to nature. The gatekeeper called; Whoever wants to come in; should come in before I close the gate. So I went in and hid myself in a stall of a donkey near the gate of the castle. They took their supper with Abu Rafi and had a chat till late at night. Then they went back to their homes. When the voices vanished and I no longer detected any movement; I came out. I had seen where the gate-keeper had kept the key of the castle in a hole in the wall. I took it and unlocked the gate of the castle; saying to myself; If these people should notice me; I will run away easily. Then I locked all the doors of their houses from outside while they were inside; and ascended to Abu Rafi by a staircase. I saw the house in complete darkness with its light off; and I could not know where the man was. So I called; O Abu Rafi! He replied; Who is it? I proceeded towards the voice and hit him. He cried loudly but my blow was futile. Then I came to him; pretending to help him; saying with a different tone of my voice; What is wrong with you; O Abu Rafi? He said; Are you not surprised? Woe on your mother! A man has come to me and hit me with a sword! So again I aimed at him and hit him; but the blow proved futile again; and on that Abu Rafi cried loudly and his wife got up. I came again and changed my voice as if I were a helper; and found Abu Rafi lying straight on his back; so I drove the sword into his belly and bent on it till I heard the sound of a bone break. Then I came out; filled with astonishment and went to the staircase to descend; but I fell down from it and got my leg dislocated. I bandaged it and went to my companions limping. I said to them ; Go and tell Allah Messenger ﷺ of this good news; but I will not leave this place till I hear the news of his i.e. Abu Rafis death. When dawn broke; an announcer of death got over the wall and announced; I convey to you the news of Abu Rafi death. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25614 | Narrated Abdulrahman Yamar AlDayli: I came to the Holy Prophet ﷺ when he was in Arafat. Some people or a group of people came from Najd. They commanded someone to ask the Prophet about hajj. So he called the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; saying: How is the hajj done? He the Prophet ordered a man to reply. He shouted loudly: The hajj; the hajj is on the day of Arafat. If anyone comes over there before the dawn prayer on the night of AlMuzdalifah; his hajj will be complete. The period of halting at Mina is three days. Then whoever hastens his departure by two days; it is no sin for him; and whoever delays it there is no sin for him. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-27801 | Nafib. Mahmudb. AlRabi AlAnsari said: Ubadah Bin Alsamit came to late to lead the morning prayer. Abu Nuaim; the muadhdhin; pronounced the takbir and he led the people in prayer. Then Ubadah came and I was with him. We Joined the row behind Abu Nuaim; while Abu Nuaim was reciting the Quran loudly. Then Ubadah began to recite the Umm AlQuran I.e Surah AlFatihah. When he finished; I said to Ubadah: I heard you reciting the Umm AlQuran while Abu Nuaim was reciting Quran loudly. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29723 | Narrated Wathilah Ibn AlAsqa: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ announced to go on expedition for Tabuk. I went to my family and then proceeded on journey. The vanguard of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had already proceeded. So I began to announce loudly in Medina: Is there anyone who takes a man on his ride; and he will get his share from the booty? An old man from the Ansar Helpers spoke loudly: We shall have his share if we take him with us on our mount by turns; and he will have his meal with us. I said: Yes. He said: So go on journey with Allah blessing. I then proceeded along with my best companion and Allah gave us booty. Some camels were given to me as my share of booty.
