SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-28944 | Narrated Dawud Bin AlHussain: I used to learn the reading of the Quran from Umm Sad; daughter of AlRabi. She was an orphan in the guardianship of Abu Bakr. I read the Quranic verse To those also to whom your right hand was pledged. She said: Do not read the verse; To those also to whom your right hand was pledged. This was revealed about Abu Bakr and his son Abdulrahman when he refused to accept Islam. Abu Bakr took an oath that he would not give him a share from inheritance. When he embraced Islam Allah Most High commanded His Prophet ﷺ to give him the share. The narrator Abd AlAziz added: He did not accept Islam until he was urged on Islam by sword.Abu Dawud said: He who narrated the word aqadat means a pact ; and he who narrated the word aaqadat means the party who made a pact. The correct is the tradition of Talha h aaqadat. | The Chapter on Pre-Islam And Charity in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Abrogation Of Inheritance Due To Alliances By Inheritance Due To Relations in Sunan Abu Dawoud | |
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29707 | Abu Huraira said The Prophet ﷺ sent ten persons on an expedition and appointed Aasi m Bin Thabit their commander. About one hundred men of Hudhail who were archers came out to attack them. When Aasi m felt their presence; they took cover in a hillock. They aid to them Come down and surrender and we make a covenant and pact with you that we shall not kill any of you. Aasi m said I do not come to the protection of a disbeliever. Then they shot them with arrows and killed Aasi m in a company of seven persons. The other three persons came down to their covenant and pact. They were Khubaib; Zaid Bin AlLathnah and another man. When they overpowered them; they untied their bow strings and tied them with them. The third person said This is the first treachery. I swear by Allaah; I shall not accompany you. In them my companions is an example for me. They pulled him; but he refused to accompany them; so they killed him. Khubaib remained their captive until they agreed to kill him. He asked for a razor to shave his pubes. When they brought him outside to kill him. Khubaib said to them Let me offer two rakahs of prayer. He then said I swear by Allaah; if you did not think that I did this out of fear. I would have increased the number of rakahs. | The Chapter on Killing And Martyrs in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Regarding A Man Being Taken Captive in Sunan Abu Dawoud |

MuwataMalik-017-001-35681 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said from Muhammad Ibn Yahya Ibn Habban from Ibn Muhayriz that a man from the Kinana tribe called AlMukhdaji heard a man in Syria known as Abu Muhammad saying; The witr is obligatory fard. AlMukhdaji said; I went to Ubada Ibn AlSamit and presented myself to him as he was going to the Masjid; and told him what Abu Muhammad had said. Ubada said that Abu Muhammad had lied and that he had heard the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; say; Allah the Majestic and Mighty has written five prayers for mankind; and whoever does them and does not waste anything of them by making light of what is due to them; there is a pact for him with Allah that He will admit him into the Garden.Whoever does not do them; there is no pact for him with Allah. If He wishes; He punishes him; and if He wishes; He admits him into the Garden. | The Chapter on Wishes And Admittance in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Hajj in Muwata Malik |
