SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1434 | Narrated Aisha: The Prophet ﷺ did something as it was allowed from the religious point of view but some people refrained from it. When the Prophet ﷺ heard of that; he; after glorifying and praising Allah; said; Why do some people refrain from doing something which I do? By Allah; I know Allah more than they. | The Chapter on Mudhar Arabi Tribe in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Going deeply into and arguing about knowledge and exaggerating in religion and inventing heresies in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2617 | Narrated Aisha: The Prophet ﷺ did something and allowed his people to do it; but some people refrained from doing it. When the Prophet ﷺ learned of that; he delivered a sermon; and after having sent Praises to Allah; he said; What is wrong with such people as refrain from doing a thing that I do? By Allah; I know Allah better than they; and I am more afraid of Him than they. | The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes In Properties And Money in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Whoever did not admonish people in their faces in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4085 | Narrated Anas: When Allah Messenger ﷺ came to Medina; he did not have any servant. Abu Talha Anas step-father took me to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Anas is a wise boy; so let him serve you. So; I served him at home and on journeys. If I did anything; he never asked me why I did it; and if I refrained from doing anything; he never asked me why I refrained from doing it. | The Chapter on Thirst in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The employment of an orphan in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5776 | Narrated Urwa: I asked Aisha : How do you interpret the statement of Allah;. : Verily! the mountains AlSafa and AlMarwa are among the symbols of Allah; and whoever performs the Hajj to the Kaba or performs Umra; it is not harmful for him to perform Tawaf between them Safa and Marwa. 2.158. By Allah! it is evident from this revelation there is no harm if one does not perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa. Aisha said; O; my nephew! Your interpretation is not true. Had this interpretation of yours been correct; the statement of Allah should have been; It is not harmful for him if he does not perform Tawaf between them. But in fact; this divine inspiration was revealed concerning the Ansar who used to assume lhram for worship ping an idol called Manat which they used to worship at a place called AlMushallal before they embraced Islam; and whoever assumed Ihram for the idol ; would consider it not right to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa. When they embraced Islam; they asked Allah Messenger ﷺ ﷺ regarding it; saying; O Allah Apostle! We used to refrain from Tawaf between Safa and Marwa. So Allah revealed: Verily; the mountains AlSafa and AlMarwa are among the symbols of Allah. Aisha added; Surely; Allah Apostle set the tradition of Tawaf between Safa and Marwa; so nobody is allowed to omit the Tawaf between them. Later on I Urwa told Abu Bakr Bin Abdulrahman of Aisha narration and he said; I have not heard of such information; but I heard learned men saying that all the people; except those whom Aisha mentioned and who used to assume lhram for the sake of Manat; used to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa. When Allah referred to the Tawaf of the Kaba and did not mention Safa and Marwa in the Quran; the people asked; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! We used to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa and Allah has revealed the verses concerning Tawaf of the Kaba and has not mentioned Safa and Marwa. Is there any harm if we perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa? So Allah revealed: Verily AlSafa and AlMarwa are among the symbols of Allah. Abu Bakr said; It seems that this verse was revealed concerning the two groups; those who used to refrain from Tawaf between Safa and Marwa in the Pre- Islamic Period of ignorance and those who used to perform the Tawaf then; and after embracing Islam they refrained from the Tawaf between them as Allah had enjoined Tawaf of the Kaba and did not mention Tawaf of Safa and Marwa till later after mentioning the Tawaf of the Kaba. | The Chapter on The Tawaf And Saei in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Tawaf Sai between AlSafa and AlMarwa in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6888 | Narrated Urwa Bin AlZubair: That he asked Aisha regarding the Statement of Allah: If you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphan girls... 4.3 She said; O son of my sister! An Orphan girl used to be under the care of a guardian with whom she shared property. Her guardian; being attracted by her wealth and beauty; would intend to marry her without giving her a just Mahr; i.e. the same Mahr as any other person might give her in case he married her. So such guardians were forbidden to do that unless they did justice to their female wards and gave them the highest Mahr their peers might get. They were ordered by Allah; to marry women of their choice other than those orphan girls. Aisha added; The people asked Allah Messenger ﷺ his instructions after the revelation of this Divine Verse whereupon Allah revealed: They ask your instruction regarding women 4.127 Aisha further said; And the Statement of Allah: And yet whom you desire to marry. 4.127 as anyone of you refrains from marrying an orphan girl under his guardianship when she is lacking in property and beauty. Aisha added; So they were forbidden to marry those orphan girls for whose wealth and beauty they had a desire unless with justice; and that was because they would refrain from marrying them if they were lacking in property and beauty. | The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes And Orphans in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari |

So the Prophet addressed the people and said: Those people came to me seeking compensation; and I offered them such as such; and they accepted. They said: No. The Muhajirun wanted to attack them; but the Messenger of Allah ordered them to refrain; so they refrained. Then he called them and said: Do you accept? They said: Yes. Whoever wants to refrain from asking; Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; will help him to refrain. Whoever wants to be content with his lot; Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; will suffice him. SunanAlNasai-017-001-16117 | It was narrated that Urwah said: I asked Aisha about the words of Allah; the Mighty and Sublime: So it sin not a sin on him who perform Hajj or Umrah Pilgrimage of the House the Kabah at Makkah to perform the going Tawaf between them as-Safa and AlMarwah and I said : By Allah; there is no sin on anyone if he does not go between AlSafa and AlMarwa. Aisha said: What a bad thing you said; O son of my brother! If this Ayah was as you have interpreted it; there would be no sin on a person if he did not go between them. But it was revealed concering the Ansar. Before they accepted Islam; they sued to enter Ihram for the false goddess Manat whom they used to worship at AlMushallal. Whoever enter Ihram for her would refrain from going between AlSafa and AlMarwah. When they asked the Messenger of Allah about that; Allah; the Might and Sublime; revealed: Verily AlSafa and AlMarwah Two mountains in Makkah are of the Symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or Urmrah Pilgrimage of the House the Kabah at Makkah to perform the going Tawaf between them As-Safa and AlMarwah. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26437 | Urwah Bin AlZubair said: Fatimah daughter of Abu Hubaish narrated to me that she asked Asma daughter of Abu Bakr ; or Asma narrated to me that Fatimah daughter of Abu Hubaish asked her to question the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He advised her to refrain from prayer equal to the period she refrained previously. She then should wash herself.1Abu Dawud said: Qatadah narrated it from Urwah Bin AlZubair; from Zainab daughter of Umm Salamah; that Umm Habibah daughter of Jahsh had a prolonged flow of blood. The Prophet ﷺ commanded her to abandon prayer for the period of her menses. She then should take a bath; and offer prayer.Abu Dawud said: Qatadah did not hear anything from Urwah. 2And Ibn Uyainah added in the tradition narrated by AlZuhri from Umrah on the authority of Aishah. Umm Habibah had a prolonged flow of blood. She asked the Prophet ﷺ. He commanded her to abandon prayer during her menstrual period.Abu Dawud said: This is a misunderstanding on the part of Ibn Uyainah. This is not found in the tradition reported by the transmitter from AlZuhri except that mentioned by Suhail Bin Abu Salih. AlHumaidi also narrated this tradition from Ibn Uyainah; but he did not mention the words she should abandon prayer during her menstrual period.1Qumair daughter of Masruq reported on the authority of Aisha: The woman who has prolonged flow of blood should abandon prayer during her menstrual period.3Abd AlRahman Bin AlQasim reported on the authority of his father: The Prophet ﷺ commanded her to abandon prayers equal to the length of time that she has her usual menses.2Abu Bishr Jafar Bin Abi Wahshiyah reported on the authority of Ikrimah from the Prophet ﷺ saying: Umm Habibah daughter of Jahsh had a prolonged flow of blood; and he transmitted like that.1Sharik narrated from Abu AlYaqzan from Adi Bin Thabit from his father on the authority of his grandfather from the Prophet ﷺ : The woman suffering from a prolonged flow of blood should abandon prayer during her menstrual period ; she then should was herself and pray. 1Al-Ala Bin AlMusayab reported from AlHakam on the authority of Abu Jafar; saying: Saudah had a prolonged flow of blood. The Prophet ﷺ commanded that when he menstruation was finished; she should take bath and pray.1Said Bin Jubair reported from Ali and Ibn Abbas : A woman suffering from a prolonged flow of blood should refrain from prayers during her menstrual period.1Ammar; the freed slave of Banu Hashim and Talq Bin Habib narrated in a similar way.1Similarly; it was reported by Maaqil AlKhathami from Ali4; AlShabi also transmitted it in a similar manner from Qumair; the wife of Masruq; on the authority of Aishah.1Abu Dawud said: AlHasan; Saeed Bin AlMusayab; Ata; Makhul; Ibrahim; Salim and AlQasim also hold that a woman suffering from a prolonged flow of blood should abandon prayer during her menstrual period.Abu Dawud said: Qatadah did not hear anything from Urwah. | The Chapter on Prolonged Menstruation in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Concerning The Woman Who Has Istihadah And Those Scholars Who Stated That She Should Leave The Prayer For The Number Of Days Which She Used To Menstruate in Sunan Abu Dawoud
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26442 | Narrated Fatimah daughter of Abu Hubaysh: Urwah Ibn AlZubair reported from Fatimah daughter of Abu Hubaysh that her blood kept flowing; so the Prophet ﷺ said to her: When the blood of the menses comes; it is black blood which can be recognised; so when that comes; refrain from prayer; but when a different type of blood comes; perform ablution and pray; for it is due only to a vein.Abu Dawud said: Ibn AlMuthanna narrates this tradition from his book on the authority of Ibn Adi in a similar way. Later on he transmitted it to us from his memory: Muhammad Bin Amr reported to us from AlZuhri from Urwah on the authority of Aisha who said: Fatimah used to have her blood flowing. He then reported the tradition conveying the same meaning.Abu Dawud said: Anas Bin Seereen reported from Ibn Abbas about the woman who has a prolonged flow of blood. He said: If she sees thick blood; she should not pray; if she finds herself purified even for a moment; she should was an pray.Makhul said: Menses are not hidden from women. Their blood is black and thick. When it blackness and thickness goes away and there appears yellowness and liquidness; that is the flow of blood from vein. She should wash and pray.Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted by Saeed Bin AlMusayab through a different chain of narrators; saying: The woman who has a prolonged flow of blood should abandon prayer when the menstruation begins; when it is finished; she should wash and pray.Sumay and others have also reported it from Saeed Bin AlMusayab. This version adds: She should refrain from prayer during her menstrual period.Hammad Bin Salamah has reported it similarly from Yahya Bin Saeed on the authority of Saeed Bin AlMusayab.Abu Dawud said: Yunus has reported from AlHasan: When the bleeding of a menstruating woman extends beyond the normal period ; she should refrain from prayer ; after her menses are over; for one or two days. Now she becomes the woman who has a prolonged flow of blood AlTaimi reported from Qatadah: If her menstrual period is prolonged by five days; she should pray. AlTaimi said: I kept on reducing the number of days until I reached two days. He said: If the period extends by two days; they will be counted from the menstrual period. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26844 | Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: There were two men among Banu Israil; who were striving for the same goal. One of them would commit sin and the other would strive to do his best in the world. The man who exerted himself in worship continued to see the other in sin. He would say: Refrain from it. One day he found him in sin and said to him: Refrain from it. He said: Leave me alone with my Lord. Have you been sent as a watchman over me? He said: I swear by Allah; Allah will not forgive you; nor will he admit you to Paradise. Then their souls were taken back by Allah ; and they met together with the Lord of the worlds. He Allah said to this man who had striven hard in worship; Had you knowledge about Me or had you power over that which I had in My hand? He said to the man who sinned: Go and enter Paradise by My mercy. He said about the other: Take him to Hell. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29659 | Sulaiman Bin Buraidah reported on the authority of his father. When the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ appointed a Commander over an Army or a detachment; he instructed him to fear Allaah himself and consider the welfare of the Muslims who were with him. He then said When you meet the polytheists who are your enemy; summon them tone of three things and accept whichever of them they are willing to agree to; and refrain from them. Summon them to Islam and if they agree; accept it from them and refrain from them. Then summon them to leave their territory and transfer to the abode of the Emigrants and tell them that if they do so; they will have the same rights and responsibilities as the Emigrants; but if they refuse and choose their own abode; tell them that they will be like the desert Arabs who are Muslims subject to Allaahs jurisdiction which applies to the believers; but will have no spoil or booty unless they strive with the Muslims. If they refuse demand jizyah poll tax from them; if they agree accept it from them and refrain from them. But if they refuse; seek Alaahs help and fight with them. When you invade the fortress and they its people offer to capitulate and have the matter referred to Allaahs jurisdiction; do not grant this; for you do not know whether or not you will hit on Allaahs jurisdiction regarding them. But let them capitulate and have the matter refereed to your jurisdiction and make a decision about them later on as you wish.Sufyan bin Uyainah said thah Alqamah said I mentioned this tradition to Muqatil Bin Habban; He said Muslim narrated it to me.
