But waste not by excess: for Allah loveth not the wasters.

SahihMuslim-017-001-19035		Abu AlSaeed Khudri reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying that the earth would turn to be one single bread on the Day of Resurrection and the Almighty would turn it in His hand as one of you turns a loaf while on a journey. It would be a feast arranged in the honour of the people of Paradise. He the narrator further narrated that a person from among the Jews came and he said: Abu AlQasim; may the Compassionate Lord be pleased with you! May I inform you about the feast arranged in honour of the people of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection? He said: Do it; of course. He said: The earth would become one single bread. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ looked towards us and laughed until his molar teeth became visible. He then again said: May I inform you about that with which they would season it? He said: Do it; of course. He said: Their seasoning would be balim and fish. The Companions of the Prophet ﷺ said: What is this balam? SahihMuslim-017-001-19956		Jabir reported that Umm Malik used to send clarified butter in a small skin to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Her sons would come to her and ask for seasoning when they had nothing with them in the form of condiments and she would go to that skin in which she offered clarified butter to Allah Apostle ﷺ ; and she would find in that clarified butter and it kept providing her with seasoning for her household until she had completely squeezed it. She came to Allah Apostle ﷺ and informed him about it. Thereupon; he the Holy Prophet said: Did you squeeze it? She said: Yes. Thereupon he said: If you had left it in that very state; it would have kept on provid- ing you the clarified butter on end. But later on they became afraid of trading while they were putting on ihram. So Allah; glory be to Him; sent down this verse: It is no sin for you that you seek the bounty of your Lord during the seasons of hajj. MuwataMalik-017-001-35044		Yahya related to me from Malik from Abuz-Zinad from Kharija Ibn Zayd Ibn Thabit that Zayd Ibn Thabit did not sell fruit until the Pleiades were visible; at the end of May. Malik said; The way of doing things among us about selling melons; cucumbers; water- melons; and carrots is that it is halal to sell them when it is clear that they have begun to ripen. Then the buyer has what grows until the season is over. There is no specific timing laid down for that because the time is well known with people; and it may happen that the crop will be affected by blight and put a premature end to the season. If blight strikes and a third or more of the crop is damaged; an allowance for that is deducted from the price of purchase.
