SahihMuslim-017-001-18817 | Husain Bin Abdulrahman reported: I was with Saeed Bin Jubair when he said: Who amongst you saw a star shooting last night? I said: It was I; then I said: I was in fact not busy in prayer; but was stung by a scorpion and that is the reason why I was awake and had a glimpse of the shooting star. He said: Then what did you do? I said: I practised charm. He said: What urged you to do this? I said: I did this according to the implied suggestion of the hadith which AlShuba narrated. He said: What did AlShuba narrate to you? I said: Buraida Bin Husaib AlAslami narrated to us. The charm is of no avail except in case of the evil influence of an eye or the sting of a scorpion. He said: He who acted according to what he had heard from the Holy Prophet acted rightly; but Ibn Abbas narrated to us from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: There were brought before me the peoples and I saw an apostle and a small group of his followers along with him; another apostle and one or two persons along with him and still another apostle having no one with him. When a very large group was brought to me I conceived as if it were my Ummah. Then it was said to me: It is Moses and his people. You should look at the horizon; and I saw a very huge group. It was again said to me: See the other side of the horizon; and there was also a very huge group. It was said to me: This is your Ummah; and amongst them there were seventy thousand persons who would be made to enter Paradise without rendering any account and without suffering any torment. He then stood up and went to his house. Then the people began to talk about the people who would be admitted to Paradise without rendering any account and without suffering any torment. Some of them said: They may be those who have had the good fortune of living in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and some of them said: They be those who were born in Islam and did not associate anything with Allah. Some people mentioned other things. Thereupon came forth the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before them and he said: What was that which you were talking about? They informed him. He said: They are those persons who neither practise charm; nor ask others to practise it; nor do they take omens; and repose their trust in their Lord. Upon this Ukkasha Bin Mihsan stood up and said: Supplicate for me that He should make me one among them. Upon this he Messenger of Allah said: Thou are one among them. Then another man stood up and said: Supplicate before Allah that He should make me one among them. Upon this he said: Ukkisha has preceded you. | The Chapter on Enemies And Groups And Heart Following in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 94 in Sahih Muslim |

Its maker who seeks good by his making it; the one who shoots it; and the one who holds arrows for him. And he said: Practice archery and practice riding; and the you should practice archery is more beloved to me than that you should ride. I said: Even if they kill it? He said: Even if they kill it; so long as another; strange dog has not joined them I said: And I shoot the game with the Mirad and I hit it - should I eat? He said: If you shoot the and it penetrates the target ; then eat; but if it hits it with its broad edge; then do not6 eat it. | The Chapter on Games And Hunting And Hitting Game With Sharp Iron in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Hunting With A Mirad in Sunan AlNasai
SunanAlNasai-017-001-14385 | It was narrated that Khalid Bin Yazid AlJuhani said: Uqbah Bin Amir used to pass by me and say: O Khalid; let us go out and shoot arrows. One day I came late and he said: O Khalid; come and I will tell you what the Messenger of Allah said. So I went to him and he said: The Messenger of Allah said: Allah will admit three people to Paradise because of one arrow: The one who makes it seeking good thereby; the one who shoots it and the one who hands it to him. So shoot and ride; and if you shoot that is dearer to me than if you ride. And play is only in three things: A man training his horse; and playing with his wife; and shooting with his bow and arrow. Whoever gives up shooting after learning it because he is no longer interested in it; that is a blessing for which he is ungrateful -or that he has rejected. | The Chapter on Games And Hunting And Shooting in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on A Man Training His Horse in Sunan AlNasai

That day I shot sixteen arrows that hit their targets. He said: And I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah; it is equal to the reward of freeing a slave. | The Chapter on Freed And Inheritance Of Slaves in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Reward Of The One Who Shoots An AlRow In The Cause Of Allah The Mighty And Sublime in Sunan AlNasai |

SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-28661 | Narrated Ubaydah Ibn AlSamit: I taught some persons of the people of Suffah writing and the Quran. A man of them presented to me a bow. I said: It cannot be reckoned property; may I shoot with it in Allah path? I must come to the Apostle of of Allah ﷺ and ask him about it. So I came to him and said : Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; one of those whom I have been teaching writing and the Quran has presented me a bow; and as it cannot be reckoned property; may I shoot with it in Allah path? SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-28975 | Narrated Abi Bin Hatim: I asked the Prophet ﷺ ;and said: I set off my trained dogs; and they catch something for me: may I eat it ? He said: When you set off trained dogs and mention Allah name; eat what they catch for you. I said: Even if they killed the game ? He said: Even if they killed the game as long as another dog does not join it. I said: I shoot with a featherless arrow; and it strikes the target; may I eat it ? He said: If you shoot with a featherless arrow and mention Allah name; and it strikes the aim; and pierce it; eat it ; and if it strikes with its middle; do not eat it. | The Chapter on Games And Hunting And Striking in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Regarding Hunting in Sunan Abu Dawoud

Everything with which a man amuses himself is vain except three things : a man training of his horse; his playing with his wife; and his shooting with his bow and arrow.
