SahihAlBukhari-017-001-623 | Narrated Humaid: Anas said; The Prophet ﷺ said; O Bani Salima! Dont you think that for every step of yours that you take towards the Masjid there is a reward while coming for prayer ? Mujahid said: Regarding Allah Statement: We record that which they have sent before them ; and their traces 36.12. Their traces means their steps. And Anas said that the people of Bani Salima wanted to shift to a place near the Prophet ﷺ but Allah Messenger ﷺ disliked the idea of leaving their houses uninhabited and said; Dont you think that you will get the reward for your footprints. Mujahid said; Their foot prints mean their foot steps and their going on foot. | The Chapter on Knowledge And Mujahid in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Every step towards good deeds is rewarded in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-868 | Narrated Abu Hazim: Sahl Bin Saad was asked about the Prophets pulpit as to what thing it was made of? Sahl replied: None remains alive amongst the people; who knows about it better than I. It was made of tamarisk wood of the forest. So and so; the slave of so and so prepared it for Allah Messenger ﷺ. When it was constructed and place in the Masjid ; Allah Messenger ﷺ stood on it facing the Qibla and said Allahu Akbar; and the people stood behind him and led the people in prayer. He recited and bowed and the people bowed behind him. Then he raised his head and stepped back; got down and prostrated on the ground and then he again ascended the pulpit; recited; bowed; raised his head and stepped back; got down and prostrate on the ground. So; this is what I know about the pulpit. Ahmad Bin Hanbal said; As the Prophet ﷺ was at a higher level than the people; there is no harm according to the above-mentioned Hadith if the Imam is at a higher level than his followers during the prayers. | The Chapter on The Format Of Prostration in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on It is permissible to offer Salat prayer on roofs a pulpit or wood in Sahih AlBukhari |

SahihMuslim-017-001-18595 | It is reported on the authority of Sahl Bin Saad AlSaidi that there was an encounter between the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the polytheists; and they fought against one another. At the conclusion of the battle the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bent his steps towards his army and they the enemies bent their steps towards their army. And there was a person his name was Quzman and he was one of the hypocrites among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who did not spare a detached fighter of the enemy but pursued and killed him with the sword. They the Companions of the Holy Prophet said: None served us better today than this man Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remarked: Verily he is one of the denizens of Fire. One of the people Muslims said: I will constantly shadow him. Then this man went out along with him. He halted whenever he halted; and ran along with him whenever he ran. He the narrator said: The man was seriously injured. He could not stand the pain and hastened his own death. He placed the blade of the sword on the ground with the tip between his chest and then pressed himself against the sword and killed himself. Then the man following him went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: I bear testimony that verily thou art the Messenger of Allah; He the Holy Prophet said: What is the matter? He replied: The person about whom you just mentioned that he was one among the denizens of Fire and the people were surprised at this and I said to them that I would bring the news about him and consequently I went out in search of him till I found him to be very seriously injured. He hastened his death. He placed the blade of the sword upon the ground and its tip between his chest and then pressed himself against that and killed himself. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remarked: A person performs the deeds which to the people appear to be the deeds befitting the dweller of Paradise; but he is in fact one of the denizens of Hell. And verily a person does an act which in the eyes of public is one which is done by the denizens of Hell; but the person is one among the dwellers of Paradise. | The Chapter on Lost And Found And The Companions in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 47 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-19394 | Abu Saeed AlKhudri reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard; you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah Messenger; do you mean Jews and Christians by your words those before you? SahihMuslim-017-001-21862 | Muhammad Bin Qais said to the people : Should I not narrate to you a hadith of the Holy Prophet on my authority and on the authority of my mother? We thought that he meant the mother who had given him birth. He Muhammad Bin Qais then reported that it was Aisha who had narrated this: Should I not narrate to you about myself and about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? We said: Yes. She said: When it was my turn for Allah Messenger ﷺ to spend the night with me; he turned his side; put on his mantle and took off his shoes and placed them near his feet; and spread the corner of his shawl on his bed and then lay down till he thought that I had gone to sleep. He took hold of his mantle slowly and put on the shoes slowly; and opened the door and went out and then closed it lightly. I covered my head; put on my veil and tightened my waist wrapper; and then went out following his steps till he reached Baqi. He stood there and he stood for a long time. He then lifted his hands three times; and then returned and I also returned. He hastened his steps and I also hastened my steps. He ran and I too ran. He came to the house and I also came to the house. I; however; preceded him and I entered the house ; and as I lay down in the bed; he the Holy Prophet entered the house ; and said: Why is it; O Aisha; that you are out of breath? I said: There is nothing. He said: Tell me or the Subtle and the Aware would inform me. I said: Messenger of Allah; may my father and mother be ransom for you; and then I told him the whole story. He said: Was it the darkness of your shadow that I saw in front of me? I said: Yes. He gave me a nudge on the chest which I felt; and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you? She said: Whatsoever the people conceal; Allah will know it. He said: Gabriel came to me when you saw me. He called me and he concealed it from you. I responded to his call; but I too concealed it from you for he did not come to you ; as you were not fully dressed. I thought that you had gone to sleep; and I did not like to awaken you; fearing that you may be frightened. He Gabriel said: Your Lord has commanded you to go to the inhabitants of Baqi to those lying in the graves and beg pardon for them. I said: Messenger of Allah; how should I pray for them How should I beg forgiveness for them ? He said: Say; Peace be upon the inhabitants of this city graveyard from among the Believers and the Muslims; and may Allah have mercy on those who have gone ahead of us; and those who come later on; and we shall; God willing; join you. | The Chapter on Good Manners And Mothers in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 35 in Sahih Muslim

Abu Bakr stepped forward to lead the prayer ; and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lifted the curtain. When the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ became visible to us; we found that no sight was more endearing to us than the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as it appeared to us. The Apostle of Allah ﷺ with the gesture of his hand directed Abu Bakr to step forward and lead the prayer. SahihMuslim-017-001-23590 | Abu Juhaifa reported it on the authority of his father: I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Mecca and he was at that time at AlAbtah in a red leather tent. And Bilal stepped out with ablution water for him. And what was left out of that water some of them got it whereas others could not get it and those who got it rubbed themselves with it. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stepped out with a red mantle on him and I was catching a glimpse of the whiteness of his shanks. The narrator said: He the Holy Prophet performed the ablution. and Bilal pronounced Adhan and I followed his mouth as he turned this side and that as he said on the right and the left: Come to prayer; come to success. A spear was then fixed for him on the ground. He stepped forward and said two rakahs of Zuhr; while there passed in front of him a donkey and a dog; and these were not checked. He then said two rakahs of the Asr prayer; and he then continued saying two rakahs till he came back to Medina. | The Chapter on Ablution And Cleanliness in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 47 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-24209 | Abu Hazim is reported on the authority of his father: Some people came to Sahl Bin Saad and began to differ about the wood of which the Prophet pulpit was made. He Sahl Bin Sad said: By Allah; I know of which wood it is made and who made it; and the day when I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seated himself on it on the first day. I said to him: O Abu Abbas kunyah of Sabl Bin Sad ; narrate to us all these facts ; He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a person to a woman asking her to allow her slave; a carpenter; to work on woods to prepare a pulpit so that I should talk to the people sitting on it. Abu Hazim said: He Sahl Bin Sad pointed out the name of that lady that day. So he the carpenter made a pulpit with these three steps. Then the Messengerof Allah ﷺ commanded it to be placed here where it is lying now. It was fashioned out of the wood of AlGhaba. And I saw the Messenger of Allah may peace he upon him standing upon it and glorifying Allah and the people also glorified Allah after him; while he was on the pulpit. He then raised his head from prostration and stepped back on his heels till he prostrated himself at the base of pulpit; and then returned to the former place and this movement of one or two steps continued till the prayer was complete. He then turned towards the people and said: O people; I have done it so that you should follow me and learn my mode of prayer. | The Chapter on Pulpit And Khutba And Commands in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 10 in Sahih Muslim

SunanAlNasai-017-001-11706 | It was narrated that Ubaidullah Bin Abdullah said: I entered upon Aisha and said: Will you not tell me about the sickness of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? She said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; became seriously ill; he said: Have the people prayed? We said: No; they are waiting for you; 0 Messenger of Allah ﷺ He said: Put some water in a tub for me. We did that and he performed Ghusl; then he tried to get up but he fainted. Then he came to us and said: Have the people prayed? We said: No; they are waiting for you; 0 Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: Put some water in a tub for me. We did that and he performed Ghusl; then he tried to get up but he fainted. Then for the third time he said the same thing. She said: The people were in the Masjid; waiting for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to lead the prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to Abu Bakr; telling him to lead the people in prayer; so the messenger came to him and said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is telling you to lead the people in prayer. Abu Bakr was a tenderhearted man; he said: 0 Umar. lead the in prayer. But Umar said: You have more right to that. So Abu Bakr led them in prayer during those days. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ felt a little better; he came with the help of two men; one of whom was AlAbbas; to pray Zuhr. When Abu Bakr saw him; he wanted to step back; but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gestured to him not to step back. He told them the two men to seat him beside Abu Bakr; and Abu Bakr started to pray standing. The people were following the prayer of Abu Bakr and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying sitting. I Ubaidullah entered upon Ibn Abbas and said Shall I not tell you what Aisha narrated to me about the sickness of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? He said: Yes. So I told him and he did not deny any of it; but he said: Did she tell you the name of the man who was with AlAbbas? SunanAlNasai-017-001-11707 | It was narrated that Amr said: I heard Jabir Bin Abdullah say: Muadh used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ then he would go back to his people to lead them in a prayer. He stayed late one night and prayed with the Prophet ﷺ then he went back to his people to lead them in prayer; and he recited Surat AlBaqarah. When a man from his people heard that; he stepped Aasi de and prayed on hisown ; then he left. They said: You have become a hypocrite; 0 so and-so! He said: By Allah; I have not become a hypocrite; and I will go to the Prophet ﷺ and tell him about that ; So he went to the Prophet and said: 0 Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; Muadh prays with you; then he comes to lead us in prayer. You delayed the prayer; and he prayed with you then he came back to lead us in prayer; and he started to recite Shut AlBaqarah. When Iheard that; I stepped Aasi de and prayed by myself; because we are people who bring water with the camels and we work hard. SunanAlNasai-017-001-11721 | It was narrated that Abdullah said: Whoever would like to meet Allah tomorrow as a Muslim; let him regularly attend these five daily prayers whenever the call for them is given that in the Masjids ; for Allah prescribed forHis Prophet the ways of guidance; and they the prayers are part of those ways of guidance. I do not think that there is anyone among you who does not have a place where he prays in his house. But if you were to pray in your houses and forsake the Masjids; you would be forsaking the Sunnah of your Prophet; and if you were to forsake the Sunnah of yourProphet you would go astray. There is no Muslim slave who performs Ablution and does it well; then walks to the prayer; but Allah will record one Hasanah gooddeed for each step he takes; or raise him one level by it or erase one sin from him. I remember how we used to take short steps; and I remember a time when no one stayed behind from the prayer excepta hypocrite whose hypocrisy was well known. And I have seen a man coming Supported by two others until he would be made to stand in the row. | The Chapter on Truth And Hypocrisy And Hypocrites Character in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Regularly attending the prayers when the call is given in Sunan AlNasai |
