SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4866		Narrated Sahl Bin Sad: There was a dispute amongst the people of the tribe of Bani Amr Bin Auf. The Prophet ﷺ went to them along with some of his companions in order to make peace between them. The time for the prayer became due but the Prophet ﷺ did not turn up; Bilal pronounced the Adhan i.e. call for the prayer but the Prophet ﷺ did not turn up; so Bilal went to Abu Bakr and said; The time for the prayer is due and the Prophet ﷺ i detained; would you lead the people in the prayer? Abu Bakr replied; Yes; you wish. So; Bilal pronounced the Iqama of the prayer and Abu Bakr went ahead to lead the prayer ; but the Prophet came walking among the rows till he joined the first row. The people started clapping and they clapped too much; and Abu Bakr used not to look hither and thither in the prayer; but he turned round and saw the Prophet ﷺ standing behind him. The Prophet ﷺ beckoned him with his hand to keep on praying where he was. Abu Bakr raised his hand and praised Allah and then retreated till he came in the first row; and the Prophet ﷺ went ahead and lead the people in the prayer. When the Prophet ﷺ finished the prayer; he turned towards the people and said; O people! When something happens to you during the prayer; you start clapping. Really clapping is permissible for women only. If something happens to one of you in his prayer; he should say: Subhan Allah; Glorified be Allah ; for whoever hears him saying so will direct his attention towards him. O Abu Bakr! What prevented you from leading the people in the prayer when I beckoned to you to continue ? Abu Bakr replied; It did not befit the son of Abu Quhafa to lead the prayer in front of the Prophet. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5390		Narrated Ibn Umar ra : We were accompanying the Prophet ﷺ on a journey and I was riding an unmanageable camel belonging to Umar ra ; and I could not bring it under my control. So; it used to go ahead of the party and Umar would check it and force it to retreat; and again it went ahead and again Umar forced it to retreat. The Prophet ﷺ asked Umar to sell that camel to him. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-781		Narrated Abu Salama: Once I went to Abu Saeed AlKhudri and asked him; Wont you come with us to the date-palm trees to have a talk? So Abu Saeed went out and I asked him; Tell me what you heard from the Prophet ﷺ about the Night of Qadr. Abu Saeed replied; Once Allah Messenger ﷺ performed Itikaf seclusion on the first ten days of the month of Ramadan and we did the same with him. Gabriel came to him and said; The night you are looking for is ahead of you. So the Prophet ﷺ performed the Itikaf in the middle second ten days of the month of Ramadan and we too performed Itikaf with him. Gabriel came to him and said; The night which you are looking for is ahead of you. In the morning of the 20th of Ramadan the Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon saying; Whoever has performed Itikaf with me should continue it. I have been shown the Night of Qadr; but have forgotten its date; but it is in the odd nights of the last ten nights. I saw in my dream that I was prostrating in mud and water. In those days the roof of the Masjid was made of branches of date-palm trees. At that time the sky was clear and no cloud was visible; but suddenly a cloud came and it rained. The Prophet ﷺ led us in the prayer and I saw the traces of mud on the forehead and on the nose of Allah Messenger ﷺ. So it was the confirmation of that dream. SahihMuslim-017-001-18343		Jabir Bin Abdullah Allah be pleased with them reported: I went on an expedition with Allah Messenger ﷺ. He overtook me and I was on a water-carrying camel who had grown tired and did not walk trot. He the Holy Prophet said to me: What is the matter with your camel? I said: It is sick. He the Holy Prophet stepped behind and drove it and prayed for it; and then it always moved ahead of other camels. He then said: How do you find your camel? I said: It is; by the grace of your prayer; all right. He said: Would you sell this camel to me? I felt shy to say him; No as we had no other camel for carrying water; but later on I said: Yes; and to I sold it to him on the condition that I would be permitted to ride it until I reached Madina. I said to him: Allah Messenger; I am newly married; so I asked his permission to go ahead of the caravan. He permitted me; and I reached Medina well in advance of other people; until I reached my destination. There my maternal uncle met me and asked me about the camel; and I told him what I had done with regard to it. He reproved me in this connection. He Jabir said: When I asked his permission to go ahead of the caravan Allah Messenger ﷺ inquired of me whether I had married a virgin or a non-virgin. I said to him: I have married a non-virgin. He said: Why did you not marry a virgin who would have played with you and you would have played with her? I said to him: Allah Messenger; my father died or he fell as a martyr ; and I have small sisters to look after ; so I did not like the idea that I should marry a woman who is like them and thus be not able to teach them manners and look after them properly. So I have married a non-virgin so that she should be able to look after them and teach them manners; When Allah Messenger ﷺ came to Medina; I went to him in the morning with the camel. So he fought until he was killed. Then he turned and saw the idolators. He said: Who will face the people? Talha h said: I will. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Stay where you are. One of the Ansar said: I will; O Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: You go ahead. So he fought until he was killed. This carried on; and each man of the Ansar went out to face them and fought like the one before him; and was killed; until only the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Talha h Bin Ubaidullah were left. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who will face the people? Talha h said: I will. So Talha h fought like the eleven before him; until his hand was struck; and his fingers were cut off; and he exclaimed in pain. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If you had said Bismillah in the Name of Allah ; the angels would have lifted you up with the people looking on. Then Allah drove back the idolators. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25586		Ibrahim Bin Uqabah said Kuraib told me that he asked Umamah Bin Zaid saying tell me how you did in the evening when you rode behind the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ. He said We came to the valley where the people make their Camels kneel down to take rest at night. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ made his she Camel kneel down and he then urinated. He then called for water for ablution and performed the ablution but he did not perform minutely but performed lightly. I asked Apostle of Allaah ﷺ ; prayer? He replied Prayer ahead of you. He then mounted the Camel till we came to AlMuzadalifah. There iqamah for the sunset prayer was called. The people then made their Camels kneel down at their places. The Camels were not unloaded as yet; iqamah for the night prayers was called and he prayed. The people then unloaded the Camels. The narrator Muhammad added in his version of the tradition How did you do when the morning came? He replied AlFadl rode behind him and I walked on foot among the people of the Quraish who went ahead. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-28581		Imran Bin Hosain said: Adba belonged to a man of Banu Aqil. It used to go ahead of pligrims. The man was then captivated. He was brought in chains to the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ was riding on a donkey with a blanket on him. He said: Muhammad; why do you arrest me and capture the one i.e. the camel which goes ahead of the pilgrims. He replied: We are arresting you on account of the crime committed by your allies Thaqid. Thaqif captivated two persons from among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ. He said whatever he said I am a Muslim; or he said: I have embraced Islam. When the Prophet ﷺ went ahead; he called him: O Muhammed; O Muhammed. Abu Dawud said: I learnt it from the version of the narrator Muhammad Bin Isa. The Prophet ﷺ was compassionate and kind hearted. So he returned to him; and asked: What is the matter with you ? He replied: I am a Muslim. He said: Had you said it when the matter was in your hand; you would have succeeded completely. Abu Dawud said: I then returned to the version of the narrator Sulaiman Bin Harb. He said: Muhammad; I am hungry; so feed me. I am thirsty; so give me water. The Prophet ﷺ said: This is your need; or he said: This is his need the narrator is doubtful. Later on the man was taken back by Thaqif as a ransom for the two men of the Companions of the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ retained Adba for his journey. The narrator said: The polytheists raided the pasturing animals of Medina and they took away Adba. When they took away Adba; they also captivated a Muslim woman. They used to leave their camels in the fields for rest at night. One night they slept and the Muslim woman stood up. Any camel on which she put her hand brayed until she came to Adba. She came to a camel which was docile and experienced. She then rode on her and vowed to Allah that if He saved her; she would sacrifice it. When she came to Medina; the people recognized the camel of the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ was then informed about it and he sent for her. She was brought to him and she informed him about her vow. He said: It is a bad return that you have given it. Allah has not saved you; on its back that you now sacrifice it. A vow to do an act of disobedience must not be fulfilled; or to do something over which one has no control.Abu Dawud said: This woman was the wife of Abu Dharr. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29701		Salamh bin AlAkwa said I went on an expedition with the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ against Hawazin and while we were having a meal in the forenoon and most of our people were on foot and some of us were weak; a man came on a red Camel. He took out a rope from the lion of the Camel and tied his Camel with it and began to take meal with the people. When he saw the weak condition of their people and lack of mounts he went out in a hurry to his Camel; untied it made it kneel down and sat on it and went off galloping it. A man of the tribe of Aslam followed him on a brown she Camel which was best of those of the people. I hastened out and I found him while the head of the she Camel was near the paddock of the she Camel. I then went ahead till I reached near the paddock of the Camel. I then went ahead till I caught the Camels nose string. I made it kneel. When it placed its knee on the ground; I drew my sword and struck the man on his head and it fell down. I then brought the Camel leading it with its equipment on it. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ came forward facing me and asked Who killed the man? They the people said Salamah Bin Akwa. He said he gets all his spoil.Harun said This is Hashims version.
