SunanAlTermithi-017-001-10024 | Narrated Zirr Bin Hubaish: I said to Hudhaifah Bin AlYaman: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform Prayer in Bait AlMaqdis? He said: No. I said: But he did. He said: You say that; O bald one! Based upon what do you say that? I said: Based upon the Quran; the Judge between you and I is the Quran. So Hudhaifah said: Whoever argues using the Quran; then he has indeed succeeded. One of the narrators Sufyan said: He means: He has indeed proven - and perhaps he Sufyan said: He triumphed. He Zirr said: Glorified is He Who took His slave for a journey by night from AlMasjid AlHaram to AlMasjid AlAqsa 17:1. He Hudhaifah said: Do you see this proves that he ﷺ performed Prayer in it? I said: No. He said: If he had performed Prayer in it; then it would have been required upon you that you perform Prayer in it; just as it is required that you perform Prayer in AlMasjid AlHaram. Hudhaifah said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a beast with a long back - stretching out like this - one stride of it; is as far as his vision. So; the two of them remained upon the back of AlBuraq until they saw Paradise and the Fire; and all of what has been prepared for the Hereafter; then they returned back to where they began. He said: They say that he was fettered; but for what? Because he might flee? The Knower of the unseen and the witness subdued him. | The Chapter on Journeys And Travel And Direction Toward Alqiblah in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Chapters on Tafsir in Sunan AlTermithi | |

SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-24867 | Jabir Bin Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us the supplication for isthikharah seeking what us beneficial from Allah as he would teach us a surah chapter from the Quran. He would tell us: When one of you intends to do a work; he should offer two supererogatory rakahs of prayer; and then say at the end of the prayer : O Allah; I seek Your choice on the better of the two matters based upon Your knowledge; and I seek Your decree based upon Your power; and I ask You for Your great bounties. For Indeed; You are the One Who Decrees; and I do not decree; and You know; and I do not know; and You are the Knower of the Unseen. O Allah; if you know this; and You are the Knower of the Unseen. O Allah; if you know this - here he should name exactly what he wishes - is better for me with regard to my religion; and my life; and my afterlife; and the end result of my affairs; then decree it to me; and make it easy for me; and bless me on it. O Allah; and if You know this to be evil for me - and he says just as he said the first time - then avert it for me; and avert me from it. And decree for me good wherever it might be; the make me content with it. A version goes: If the work is good immediately or subsequently Ibn Maslamah and Ibn Isa reported from Muhammad Bin AlMunkadir on the authority of Jabir. | The Chapter on Knowledge And Mujahid in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Regarding Istikharah in Sunan Abu Dawoud |

MuwataMalik-017-001-35088 | Malik said; Another example of that is that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; forbade the sale called muzabana and granted an indulgence in the ariya for computing the equivalent in dates. It was distinguished between them that the muzabana-sale was based on shrewdness and trade; and the ariya sale was based on a favour rendered; and there was no shrewdness in it. Malik said; A man must not buy food for a fourth; a third; or a fraction of a dirham on the basis that he be given that food on credit. There is no harm in a man buying food for a fraction of a dirham on credit and then he gives a dirham and takes goods with what remains of his dirham because he gave the fraction he owed as silver; and took goods to make up the rest of his dirham. There is no harm in that transaction. Malik said; There is no harm in a man placing a dirham with another man and then taking from him known goods for a fourth; third; or a known fraction. If there was not a known price on the goods and the man said; I will take them from you for the price of each day; this is not halal because there is uncertainty. It might be less one time; and more another time; and they would not part with a known sale. Malik said; If someone sells some food without measuring precisely and does not exclude any of it from the sale and then it occurs to him to buy some of it; it is not good for him to buy any of it except what it would be permitted for him to exclude from it. That is a third or less. If it is more than a third; it becomes muzabana and is disapproved. He must only purchase from what he would be permitted to exclude; and he is only permitted to exclude a third or less than that. This is the way of doing things in which there is no dispute with us. | The Chapter on Financial Transaction And Food in HodHood Indexing, The Book of The Oath of Qasama in Muwata Malik |
