SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3166 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; The example of a miser and a generous person is like that of two persons wearing iron cloaks from the breast upto the neck When the generous person spends; the iron cloak enlarges and spread over his skin so much so that it covers his fingertips and obliterates his tracks. As for the miser; as soon as he thinks of spending every ring of the iron cloak sticks to its place against his body and he tries to expand it; but it does not expand. The Prophet ﷺ pointed with his hand towards his throat. | The Chapter on Garments And Charity in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Using gestures to express the decision of divorce in Sahih AlBukhari | |
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-934 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar: In the lifetime of Allah Messenger ﷺ the Masjid was built of adobes; its roof of the leaves of date-palms and its pillars of the stems of date-palms. Abu Bakr did not alter it. Umar expanded it on the same pattern as it was in the lifetime of Allah Messenger ﷺ by using adobes; leaves of date-palms and changing the pillars into wooden ones. Uthman changed it by expanding it to a great extent and built its walls with engraved stones and lime and made its pillars of engraved stones and its roof of teak wood. | The Chapter on Debt And Creditors The Companions in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The construction of the prophet pbuh Masjid in Sahih AlBukhari |
