They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if His Will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit? But Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5773		Narrated Nafi: Abdullah Bin Abdullah Bin Umar and his riding animal entered the house of Ibn Umar. He the son of Ibn Umar said; I fear that this year a battle might take place between the people and you might be prevented from going to the Kaba. I suggest that you should stay here. Ibn Umar said; Once Allah Messenger ﷺ set out for the pilgrimage; and the pagans of Quraish intervened between him and the Kaba. So; if the people intervened between me and the Kaba; I would do the same as Allah Messenger ﷺ had done... Verily; in Allah Messenger ﷺ you have a good example. Then he added; I make you a witness that I have intended to perform Hajj along with Umra. After arriving at Mecca; Ibn Umar performed one Tawaf only between Safa and Marwa. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6529		Narrated Nafi: One of Abdullah sons said to Abdullah bin Umar I wish you would stay this year and not perform Hajj as I am afraid that you will not be able to reach the Kaba. On that he i.e. Abdullah Bin Umar said; We went out with the Prophet for Umra ; and when the Quraish infidel intervened between us and the Kaba; the Prophet ﷺ slaughtered his Hadi and shaved his head ; and his companions cut short their hair. Then Abdullah Bin Umar said; I make you witness that I have intended to perform Umra and if I am allowed to reach the Kaba; I will perform the Tawaf; and if something i.e. obstacles intervene between me and the Kaba; then I will do what Allah Messenger ﷺ did. Then after going for a while; he said; I consider the ceremonies of both Umra and Hajj as one and the same; so I would like you to witness that I have intended to perform Hajj along with my Umra. So he performed only one Tawaf and one Sai between Safa and Marwa and finished the Ihram of both Umra and Hajj. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-7232		Narrated Ibn Abbas: Allah Messenger ﷺ went out along with a group of his companions towards Ukaz Market. At that time something intervened between the devils and the news of the Heaven; and flames were sent down upon them; so the devils returned. Their fellow-devils said; What is wrong with you? They said; Something has intervened between us and the news of the Heaven; and fires flames have been shot at us. Their fellow-devils said; Nothing has intervened between you and the news of the Heaven; but an important event has happened. Therefore; travel all over the world; east and west; and try to find out what has happened. And so they set out and travelled all over the world; east and west; looking for that thing which intervened between them and the news of the Heaven. Those of the devils who had set out towards Tihama; went to Allah Messenger ﷺ at Nakhla a place between Mecca and Taif while he was on his way to Ukaz Market. They met him while he was offering the Fajr prayer with his companions. When they heard the Holy Quran being recited by Allah Messenger ﷺ ; they listened to it and said to each other. This is the thing which has intervened between you and the news of the Heavens. Then they returned to their people and said; O our people! We have really heard a wonderful recital Quran. It gives guidance to the right; and we have believed therein. We shall not join in worship; anybody with our Lord. See 72.1-2 Then Allah revealed to His Prophet Surat AlJinn : Say: It has been revealed to me that a group 3 to 9 of Jinns listened to the Quran. 72.1 The statement of the Jinns was revealed to him. SahihMuslim-017-001-22961		Nafi reported that Abdullah Bin Umar informed him that Allah Messenger ﷺ turned his face to the two hillocks which intervened between him and the long mountain by the side of the Kaba; and the Masjid which had been built there was thus on the left of the hillock. Allah Messenger ﷺ place of prayer was lower than the black hillock; at a distance of ten cubits or near it. He ﷺ would then observe prayer facing these two hillocks of the long mountain that is intervening between you and the Kaba.
