SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3812 | Narrated Amr Bin Auf AlAnsari: who was an ally of Bam Amr Bin Louai and one of those who had taken part in the Ghazwa of Badr : Allah Messenger ﷺ sent Abu Ubaida Bin AlJarreh to Bahrain to collect the Jizya. Allah Messenger ﷺ had established peace with the people of Bahrain and appointed AlAla Bin AlHadrami as their governor. When Abu Ubaida came from Bahrain with the money; the Ansar heard of Abu Ubaida arrival which coincided with the time of the morning prayer with the Prophet. When Allah Messenger ﷺ led them in the morning prayer and finished; the Ansar approached him; and he looked at them and smiled on seeing them and said; I feel that you have heard that Abu. Ubaida has brought something? They said; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ He said; Rejoice and hope for what will please you! By Allah; I am not afraid of your poverty but I am afraid that you will lead a life of luxury as past nations did; whereupon you will compete with each other for it; as they competed for it; and it will destroy you as it destroyed them. | The Chapter on Military Expedition Of Bahrain in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on AlJizya taken from the Dhimmi in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5164 | Narrated Amra bint Abdulrahman from Aisha: Allah Messenger ﷺ used to practice Itikaf every year in the month of Ramadan. And after offering the morning prayer; he used to enter the place of his Itikaf. Aisha asked his permission to let her practice Itikaf and he allowed her; and so she pitched a tent in the Masjid. When Hafsa heard of that; she also pitched a tent for herself ; and when Zainab heard of that; she too pitched another tent. When; in the morning; Allah Messenger ﷺ had finished the morning prayer; he saw four tents and asked; What is this? He was informed about it. He then said; What made them do this? Is it righteousness? Remove the tents; for I do not want to see them. So; the tents were removed. The Prophet ﷺ did not perform Itikaf that year in the month of Ramadan; but did it in the last ten days of Shawal. | The Chapter on Ramadan And Fasting And The Month Of Shawal in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Itikaf in the month of Shawal in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5185 | Narrated Urwa: That he was informed by Aisha; Allah Messenger ﷺ went out in the middle of the night and prayed in the Masjid and some men prayed behind him. In the morning; the people spoke about it and then a large number of them gathered and prayed behind him on the second night. In the next morning the people again talked about it and on the third night the Masjid was full with a large number of people. Allah Messenger ﷺ came out and the people prayed behind him. On the fourth night the Masjid was overwhelmed with people and could not accommodate them; but the Prophet ﷺ came out only for the morning prayer. When the morning prayer was finished he recited Tashah-hud and addressing the people said; Amma badu; your presence was not hidden from me but I was afraid lest the night prayer Qiyam should be enjoined on you and you might not be able to carry it on. So; Allah Apostle died and the situation remained like that i.e. people prayed individually. | The Chapter on Tashahhud Pronunciation in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The superiority of Nawafil at night in Ramadan in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5690 | Narrated Nafi; Whenever Ibn Umar finished his morning Prayer at Dhu AlHulaifa he would get his Rahila mount prepared. Then; he would ride on it; and after it had stood up straight ready to set out ; he would face AlQiblah the Ka;bah at Makkah while sitting on his mount and recite Talbiya. When he had reached the boundaries of the Haram or Makkah ; he would stop recitation of Talbiya till he reached Dhi Tuwa near Makkah where he would pass the night till it was dawn. After offering the morning Prayer; he would take a bath. He claimed that Allah Messenger ﷺ had done the same. | The Chapter on Makkah And Pagans in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Reciting Talbiya while facing the Qiblah in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6369 | Narrated AlMiswar Bin Makhrama: That Amr Bin Auf; who was an ally of Bani Amir Bin Louai and one of those who fought at Badr in the company of the Prophet ﷺ ; said; Allah Messenger ﷺ sent Abu Ubaida Bin AlJarrah to Bahrain to bring the Jizya taxation from its people; for Allah Messenger ﷺ had made a peace treaty with the people of Bahrain and appointed AlAla Bin AlHadrami as their ruler. So; Abu Ubaida arrived with the money from Bahrain. When the Ansar heard of the arrival of Abu Ubaida on the next day they offered the morning prayer with the Prophet ﷺ and when the morning prayer had finished; they presented themselves before him. On seeing the Ansar; Allah Messenger ﷺ smiled and said; I think you have heard that Abu Ubaida has brought something? They replied; Indeed; it is so; O Allah Apostle! He said; Be happy; and hope for what will please you. By Allah; I am not afraid that you will be poor; but I fear that worldly wealth will be bestowed upon you as it was bestowed upon those who lived before you. So you will compete amongst yourselves for it; as they competed for it and it will destroy you as it did them. | The Chapter on Military Expedition Of Bahrain in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Military Expeditions led by the Prophet AlMaghaazi in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihMuslim-017-001-24380 | Abu Mousa narrated on the authority of his father that a person came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for inquiring about the times of prayers. He the Holy Prophet gave him no reply because he wanted to explain to him the times by practically observing these prayers. He then said the morning player when it was daybreak; but the people could hardly recognise one another. He then commanded and the Iqama for the noon prayer was pronounced when the tan had passed the meridian and one would say that it was midday but he the Holy Prophet knew batter than them. He then again commanded and the Iqama for the afternoon prayer was pronounced when the sun was high. He then commanded and Iqama for the evening prayer was pronounced when the sun had sunk. He then commanded and Iqama for the night prayer was pronounced when the twilight had disappeared. He then delayed the morning prayer on the next day so much so that after returning from it one would say that the sun had risen or it was about to rise. He then delayed the noon prayer till it was near the time of afternoon prayer as it was observed yesterday. He then delayed the afternoon prayer till one after returning from it would say that the sun had become red. He then delayed the evening prayer till the twilight was about to disappear. He then delayed the night prayer till it was one-third of the night. He then called the inquirer in the morning and said: The time for prayers is between these two extremes. | The Chapter on Adhan And Iqama And The Sun in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 31 in Sahih Muslim |
