    Abu Hazim Bin Dinar narrated that some men came to Sahl Bin Saad AlSaidi. They were wondering what kind of wood the Minbar was made of; so they asked him about that. He said: By Allah; I know what it is made of. I saw it the first day it was set up and the first day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to so-and-so - a woman whose name Sahl mentioned - telling her: Tell your carpenter slave to make me something of wood that I can sit on when I speak to the people. So she told him; and he made it from tamarisk wood from AlGhabah a place near AlMadinah. Then he brought it and it was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; who commanded that it be set up here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascend it and praying on it; and saying the Takbir while he was on top of it; then he bowed when he was on top of it; then he came down backward and prostrated at the base of the Minbar; then he went back. When he had finished he turned to face the people and said: O people; I only did this so that you can follow me in prayer and learn how I pray.

Thereupon Umar said: I do not mean that turmoil on a small scale but that one which would emerge like the mounting waves of the ocean. I said: Commander of the Faithful; you have nothing to do with it; for the door is closed between you and that. He said: Would that door be broken or opened? I said: No; it would be broken. Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa: Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes; he knew it for certain just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq one of the narrators said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masruq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: By that door; he meant Umar.

So he came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him; but signs of displeasure appeared on the face of the Prophet ﷺ till Abu Bakr pitied Umar ; so he knelt and said twice; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! By Allah! I was more unjust to him than he to me. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah sent me as a Prophet to you people but you said to me ; You are telling a lie; while Abu Bakr said; He has said the truth; and consoled me with himself and his money. He then said twice; Wont you then give up harming my companion? After that nobody harmed Abu Bakr.

Bilal passed by us and we asked him; Ask the Prophet ﷺ whether it is permissible for me to spend the Zakat on my husband and the orphans under my protection. And we requested Bilal not to inform the Prophet ﷺ about us. So Bilal went inside and asked the Prophet ﷺ regarding our problem. The Prophet ﷺ asked; Who are those two? Bilal replied that she was Zainab. The Prophet ﷺ said; Which Zainab? Bilal said; The wife of Abdullah bin Masud. The Prophet said; Yes; it is sufficient for her and she will receive a double rewards for that : One for helping relatives; and the other for giving Zakat.

The narrator said; to Sufyan: Mamar did not say so. Sufyan said; But he did say so to me. Some people said; If someone wants to sell a house and deprived somebody of the right of preemption; he has the right to play a trick to render the preemption invalid. And that is by giving the house to the buyer as a present and marking its boundaries and giving it to him. The buyer then gives the seller one-thousand Dirham as compensation in which case the preemptor loses his right of preemption.

Ubaida has brought something? They said; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ He said; Rejoice and hope for what will please you! By Allah; I am not afraid of your poverty but I am afraid that you will lead a life of luxury as past nations did; whereupon you will compete with each other for it; as they competed for it; and it will destroy you as it destroyed them.

    Narrated Amr Bin Auf: An ally of the tribe of Bani Amir Bin Louai and one of those who had witnessed the battle of Badr with Allah Messenger ﷺ Allah Messenger ﷺ sent Abu Ubaida Bin AlJarrah to Bahrain to collect the Jizya tax. Allah Messenger ﷺ had concluded a peace treaty with the people of Bahrain and appointed AlAla Bin AlHadrami as their chief; Abu Ubaida arrived from Bahrain with the money. The Ansar heard of Abu Ubaida arrival which coincided with the Fajr morning prayer led by Allah Messenger ﷺ. When the Prophet ﷺ finished the prayer; they came to him. Allah Messenger ﷺ smiled when he saw them and said; I think you have heard of the arrival of Abu Ubaida and that he has brought something. They replied; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; Have the good news; and hope for what will please you. By Allah; I am not afraid that you will become poor; but I am afraid that worldly wealth will be given to you in abundance as it was given to those nations before you; and you will start competing each other for it as the previous nations competed for it; and then it will divert you from good as it diverted them.

Then we put the same question to Jabir Bin Abdullah and he too replied; He should not go near his wife for sexual relation till he has finished the Tawaf of Safa and Marwa.
