SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29338Narrated Sakhr Ibn AlAyla AlAhmasi: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raided Thaqif. When Sakhr heard this; he proceeded on his horse along with some horsemen to support the Prophet ﷺ. He found the Prophet of Allah ﷺ had returned and he did not conquer Taif. On that day Sakhr made a covenant with Allah and had His protection that he would not depart from that fortress until they the inhabitants surrendered to the command of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He did not leave them until they had surrendered to the command of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Sakhr then wrote to him: To proceed: Thaqif have surrendered to your command; Messenger of Allah; and I am on my way to them. They have horses with them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ordered prayers to be offered in congregation. He then prayed for Ahmas ten times: O Allah; send blessings the horses and the men of Ahmas. The people came and Mughirah Ibn Shubah said to him: Prophet of Allah; Sakhr took my paternal aunt while she embraced Islam like other Muslims. He called him and said: Sakhr; when people embrace Islam; they have security of their blood and property. Give back to Mughirah his paternal aunt. So he returned his aunt to him and asked the Prophet of Allah ﷺ : What about Banu Sulaym who have run away for fear of Islam and left that water? He said: Prophet of Allah; allow me and my people to settle there. He said: Yes. So he allowed him to settle there. Banu Sulaym then embraced Islam; and they came to Sakhr. They asked him to return their water to them. But he refused. So they came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Prophet of Allah; we embraced Islam and came to Sakhr so that he might return our water to us. But he has refused. He the Prophet then came to him and said: When people embrace Islam; they secure their properties and blood. Return to the people their water. He said: Yes; Prophet of Allah. I saw that the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was reddening at that moment; being ashamed of taking back from him the slave-girl and the water. The Chapter on Pre-Islam And Child Embracing Islam in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Allocation Of Land in Sunan Abu Dawoud

MuwataMalik-017-001-34717Yahya related to me from Malik that Ishaq Ibn Abdullah Ibn Abi Talha heard Anas Ibn Malik say that Abu Talha had said to Umm Sulaym; I have just been listening to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and his voice was very weak. I recognised hunger in it; so; do you have anything? She replied; Yes; and brought out some barley loaves. She took her long head scarf and wrapped up the bread with part of it and put it into my Anass hand and gave me part of it to wear. Then she sent me to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Anas continued; I took it; and I found the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; sitting in the Masjid with some people. I watched them. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Did Abu Talha send you? I replied; Yes. He said; For food? I said; Yes. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said to those with him; Let us go. He set off and I went among them until I came to Abu Talha and told him. Abu Talha said; Umm Sulaym! The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; has brought people and we have no food. What shall we give them to eat? She said; Allah and His Messenger know best. Anas continued; Abu Talha went out and met the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; approached with Abu Talha until they entered. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Come now; Umm Sulaym; what have you got? She brought out bread. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; ordered it to be broken into pieces; and Umm Sulaym squeezed out onto it a container of clarified butter which she had seasoned. Then the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said whatever Allah wished him to say; and said; Will you give permission for ten of them to come in? He gave them permission; and they ate until they were full and then left. He said; Give permission to ten more. He gave them permission; and they ate until they were full and left. Then he said; Give permission to ten more. He gave them permission and they ate until they were full and left. Then he said; Give permission to ten more. He gave permission and they ate until they were full and left. There were seventy or eighty men.The Chapter on Peace And Modesty in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Purity in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34886Malik related to me from Abdullah Ibn Abi Bakr Ibn Hazm that Amr Ibn Sulaym AlZuraqi informed his father that it had been said to Umar Ibn AlKhattab; There is here an adolescent boy who has not yet reached puberty. He is from the Ghassan tribe and his heir is in AlAsh Sham. He has property. Here he only has the daughter of one of his paternal uncles. Umar Ibn AlKhattab instructed; Let him leave her a bequest. He willed her a property called the well of Jusham. Malik added; That property was sold for 30;000 dirhams; and the daughter of the paternal uncle to whom he willed it was the mother of Amr Ibn Sulaym AlZuraqi. The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes In Properties And Money in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Hair in Muwata Malik
