SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4097		Ibn Abbas ra said; A man from the tribe of Bani Sahm went out in the company of Tamim AlDari and Adi Bin Badda. The man of Bani Sahm died in a land where there was no Muslim. When Tamim and Adi returned conveying the property of the deceased; they claimed that they had lost a silver bowl with gold engraving. Allah Messenger ﷺ made them take an oath to confirm their claim ; and then the bowl was found in Makkah with some people who claimed that they had bought it from Tamim and Adu; Then two witnesses from the relatives of the deceased got up and swore that their witnesses were more valid than the witnesses of Adi and Tamim; and that the bowl belonged to their deceased fellow. So; this verse was revealed in connection with this case ; O you who believe! SahihMuslim-017-001-19255		Tamim Dari came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and informed Allah Messenger ﷺ that he sailed in an ocean and his ship lost direction and thus landed at an island. They moved about in that land in search of water. There they saw a person who had been pulling his hair. The rest of the hadith is the same. And he Dajjal said: If I were to be permitted to set out I would have covered all the lands except Taiba. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ brought Tamim Dari before the public and he narrated to them and said: That is Taiba and that is the Dajjal. SahihMuslim-017-001-20852		Abu Bakra reported from his father that AlAqra Bin Habis reported that he came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said to him: How did the tribes of Aslam; Ghifar; Muzaina and I think he also said Juhaina and the narrator is in doubt about it owe allegiance to you; whereas they plundered the pilgrims? SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9936		Narrated Ibn Abbas: from Tamim AlDari; regarding this Ayah: O you who believe! When death approaches any of you then take the testimony 5:106. He said: The people are innocent of it; other than myself and Adi Bin Badda. We were Christians who used to frequent AlSham before Islam. They went to AlSham for their business; and they were approached by a freed slave of Banu Sahm; who was called Budail Bin Abi Maryam; with some trade. He had a bowl they wanted made of silver; but he wanted a great deal for it. Then he became ill; and willed it to them; and he commissioned them to deliver what was left to his family. Tamim said: When he died; we took that bowl and we sold it for one-thousand Dirham. Then Adi Bin Badda and I divided it. When we went to his family to give them what was with us; they searched for the bowl and asked about it. We said: He did not leave behind other than this; nor did he give us other than this. Tamim said: When I accepted Islam; after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had arrived in AlMadinah; I felt guilty about that; so I went to his family; and informed them about what had happened. I gave them fifty-thousand Dirham and told them my companion had the same. They took him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ but he asked them for their proof; which they did not have; so he ordered them; to have him to take an oath in accordance with whatever the people of his religion revered; so he took the oath. Then Allah revealed: O you who believe! When death approaches any of you then take the testimony... up to His saying: Or else they would fear that oaths will be admitted after their oaths 5:106. So Amr Bin AlAs and another man stood to take an oath; and the fifty-thousand Dirham was taken from Adi Bin Badda. When they arrived with what he left behind; they searched for a bowl made of silver which was inlaid with gold. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had the two of them take an oath. Then they found the bowl in Makkah; and the person said: We purchased it from Tamim and Adi. She was the grandmother of their father. She reported to them; saying: We came upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. My companion; Hurayth Ibn Hassan; came to him as a delegate from Bakr Ibn Wail. He took the oath of allegiance of Islam for himself and for his people. He then said: Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; write a document for us; giving us the land lying between us and Banu Tamim at AlDahna to the effect that not one of them will cross it in our direction except a traveller or a passer-by. He said: Write down AlDahna for them; boy. When I saw that he passed orders to give it to him; I became anxious; for it was my native land and my home. I said: Messenger of Allah; he did not ask you for a true border when he asked you. This land of Dahna is a place where the camels have their home; and it is a pasture for the sheep. The women of Banu Tamim and their children are beyond it. He said: Stop; boy! A poor woman spoke the truth: a Muslim is a brother of a Muslim. Each one of them may benefit from water and trees; and they should cooperate with each other against Satan.
