SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1377Narrated Nafi: When the people of Medina dethroned Yazid Bin Muawiya; Ibn Umar gathered his special friends and children and said; I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying; A flag will be fixed for every betrayer on the Day of Resurrection; and we have given the oath of allegiance to this person Yazid in accordance with the conditions enjoined by Allah and His Apostle and I do not know of anything more faithless than fighting a person who has been given the oath of allegiance in accordance with the conditions enjoined by Allah and His Apostle ; and if ever I learn that any person among you has agreed to dethrone Yazid; by giving the oath of allegiance to somebody else then there will be separation between him and me.The Chapter on Oaths And Pledges Forbidden in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Changing the words in Sahih AlBukhari

O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants; examine them... 60.10 So if anyone of those believing women accepted the above mentioned conditions; she accepted the conditions of faith. When they agreed on those conditions and confessed that with their tongues; Allah Messenger ﷺ would say to them; Go; I have accepted your oath of allegiance for Islam. By Allah; and hand of Allah Messenger ﷺ never touched the hand of any woman; but he only used to take their pledge of allegiance orally. By Allah; Allah Messenger ﷺ did not take the pledge of allegiance of the women except in accordance with what Allah had ordered him. When he accepted their pledge of allegiance he would say to them; I have accepted your oath of allegiance. The Chapter on Oaths And Pledges And The Battle Of Badr in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on If an idolatress or a Christian woman becomes a Muslim while she is the wife of Dhimmi or a Mushrik at war with the Muslims in Sahih AlBukhari

In Sahih Muslim

Hadith PageArabic TextEnglish TranslationBook and Chapter
SahihMuslim-017-001-17393AlBara Bin Azib reported: There happened to pass by Allah Apostle ﷺ a Jew blackened and lashed. Allah Apostle ﷺ called them the Jews and said: Is this the punishment that you find in your Book Torah as a prescribed punishment for adultery? They said: Yes. He the Holy Prophet called one of the scholars amongst them and said: I ask you in the name of Allah Who sent down the Torah on Moses if that is the prescribed punishment for adultery that you find in your Book. He said: No. Had you not asked me in the name of Allah; I would not have given you this information. We find stoning to death as punishment prescribed in the Torah. But this crime became quite common amongst our aristocratic class. So when we caught hold of any rich person indulging in this offence we spared him; but when we caught hold of a helpless person we imposed the prescribed punishment upon him. We then said: Let us argree on a punishment which we can inflict both upon the rich and the poor. So We decided to blacken the face with coal and flog as a substitute punishment for stoning. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: O Allah; I am the first to revive Thy command when they had made it dead. He then commanded and he the offender was stoned to death. Allah; the Majestic and Glorious; sent down this verse : O Messenger; the behaviour of those who vie with one another in denying the truth should not grieve you... up to is vouchsafed unto you; accept it v. 41 2176 It was said by the Jews : Go to Muhammad; it he commands you to blacken the face and award flogging as punishment for adultery ; then accept it; but it he gives verdict for stoning; then avoid it. It was then that Allah; the Majestic and Great; sent down these verses : And they who do not judge in accordance with what Allah has revealed are; indeed; deniers of the truth v. 44 ; And they who do not judge in accordance with what Allah has revealed-they; they indeed are the wrongdoers v. 45 ; And they who do not judge in accordance with what God has revealed-they are the iniquitous v. 47. All these verses were revealed in connection with the non-believers.The Chapter on Fornication And Adultery In Jewish Law in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 6 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-17985It has been reported from Sulaiman Bin Buraida through his father that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed anyone as leader of an army or detachment he would especially exhort him to fear Allah and to be good to the Muslims who were with him. He would say: Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war; do not embezzle the spoils; do not break your pledge; and do not mutilate the dead bodies; do not kill the children. When you meet your enemies who are polytheists; invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these; you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to accept Islam; if they respond to you; accept it from them and desist from fighting against them. Then invite them to migrate from their lands to the land of the Muhajireen and inform them that; if they do so; they shall have all the privileges and obligations of the Muhajireen. If they refuse to migrate; tell them that they will have the status of Bedouin Muslims and will be subjected to the Commands of Allah like other Muslims; but they will not get any share from the spoils of war or Fai except when they actually fight with the Muslims against the disbelievers. If they refuse to accept Islam; demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay; accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax; seek Allah help and fight them. When you lay siege to a fort and the besieged appeal to you for protection in the name of Allah and His Prophet; do not accord to them the guarantee of Allah and His Prophet; but accord to them your own guarantee and the guarantee of your companions for it is a lesser sin that the security given by you or your companions be disregarded than that the security granted in the name of Allah and His Prophet be violated. When you besiege a fort and the besieged want you to let them out in accordance with Allah Command; do not let them come out in accordance with His Command; but do so at your own command; for you do not know whether or not you will be able to carry out Allah behest with regard to them. The Chapter on Inviting The Idolaters And Infidels To Islam in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 2 in Sahih Muslim

One of them said: Pronounce judgement between us in accordance with Allahs Book; Messenger of Allah! The other who had more understanding said: Yes; Messenger of Allah! Pronounce judgement between us in accordance with Allahs Book; and allow me to speak. He the Prophet said: Speak; He then said: My son who was a hired servant with this man committed fornication with his wife; and when I was told that my son must be stoned to death; I ransomed him with a hundred sheep and a slave girl of mine; but when I asked the learned; they told me that my son should receive a hundred lashes and be banished for a year; and that stoning to death applied only to mans wife. The apostle of Allah ﷺ replied: By him in whose hand my soul is; I shall certainly pronounce judgment between you in accordance with Allahs Book. Your sheep and your slave girl must be returned to you; and your son shall receive a hundred lashes and be banished for a year. MuwataMalik-017-001-34524Yahya related to me from Malik from his paternal uncle Abu Suhayl Ibn Malik that his father heard Talha Ibn Ubaydullah say; Once one of the people of Najd came to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He had dishevelled hair and although his voice could be heard we could not make out what he was saying until he drew nearer and then we found he was asking about Islam. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said to him; There are five prayers during the day and the night. He said; Do I have to do anything else besides that? The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; added; And fasting the month of Ramadan. He said; Is there anything else I have to do? He said; No; except what you do of your own accord. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; mentioned zakat. The man said; Is there anything else that I have to do? He said; No; except what you do of your own accord. He continued; The man went away saying; By Allah; I wont do any more than this; nor will I do any less. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; That man will be successful; if he is telling the truth. The Chapter on Granting Peace in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Shortening the Prayer in Muwata Malik
