SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1294		Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah never sends a prophet or gives the Caliphate to a Caliph but that he the prophet or the Caliph has two groups of advisors: A group advising him to do good and exhorts him to do it; and the other group advising him to do evil and exhorts him to do it. But the protected person against such evil advisors is the one protected by Allah. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2402		Narrated Abdullah Bin Abbas: Umar Bin AlKhattab departed for Sham and when he reached Sargh; the commanders of the Muslim army; Abu Ubaida Bin AlJarrah and his companions met him and told him that an epidemic had broken out in Sham. Umar said; Call for me the early emigrants. So Umar called them; consulted them and informed them that an epidemic had broken out in Sham. Those people differed in their opinions. Some of them said; We have come out for a purpose and we do not think that it is proper to give it up; while others said to Umar ; You have along with you. other people and the companions of Allah Messenger ﷺ so do not advise that we take them to this epidemic. Umar said to them; Leave me now. Then he said; Call the Ansar for me. I called them and he consulted them and they followed the way of the emigrants and differed as they did. He then said to them; Leave me now; and added; Call for me the old people of Quraish who emigrated in the year of the Conquest of Mecca. I called them and they gave a unanimous opinion saying; We advise that you should return with the people and do not take them to that place of epidemic. So Umar made an announcement; I will ride back to Medina in the morning; so you should do the same. Abu Ubaida Bin AlJarrah said to Umar ; Are you running away from what Allah had ordained? Umar said; Would that someone else had said such a thing; O Abu Ubaida! Yes; we are running from what Allah had ordained to what Allah has ordained. Dont you agree that if you had camels that went down a valley having two places; one green and the other dry; you would graze them on the green one only if Allah had ordained that; and you would graze them on the dry one only if Allah had ordained that? At that time Abdulrahman Bin Auf; who had been absent because of some job; came and said; I have some knowledge about this. I have heard Allah Messenger ﷺ saying; If you hear about it an outbreak of plague in a land; do not go to it; but if plague breaks out in a country where you are staying; do not run away from it. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4353		Narrated Abu Wail: Somebody said to Usama; Will you go to so-and-so i.e. Uthman and talk to him i.e. advise him regarding ruling the country ? Really I talk to advise him secretly without opening a gate of affliction ; for neither do I want to be the first to open it i.e. rebellion ; nor will I say to a man who is my ruler that he is the best of all the people after I have heard something from Allah s Apostle. He said; I have heard him saying; A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and thrown in the Hell Fire; so that his intestines will come out; and he will go around like a donkey goes around a millstone. The people of Hell Fire will gather around him and say: O so-and-so! What is wrong with you? Didnt you use to order us to do good deeds and forbid us to do bad deeds? He will reply: Yes; I used to order you to do good deeds; but I did not do them myself; and I used to forbid you to do bad deeds; yet I used to do them myself. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6802		Narrated Anas: Umar said; I agreed with Allah in three things; or said; My Lord agreed with me in three things. I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Would that you took the station of Abraham as a place of prayer. I also said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Good and bad persons visit you! Would that you ordered the Mothers of the believers to cover themselves with veils. So the Divine Verses of AlHijab i.e. veiling of the women were revealed. I came to know that the Prophet ﷺ had blamed some of his wives so I entered upon them and said; You should either stop troubling the Prophet ﷺ or else Allah will give His Apostle better wives than you. When I came to one of his wives; she said to me; O Umar! Does Allah Messenger ﷺ havent what he could advise his wives with; that you try to advise them? I said: I am able to do more than that. He said: Fast four days and you will have the reward of what is left. I said: I am able to do more than that. The messenger of Allah said: The best fasting is the fast of Dawud; he used to fast one day and not the next. 2406. It was narrated that Abu Dharr said: My beloved Prophet advised me to do three things which I will never give up; if Allah wills. He advised me to pray Duha to pray Witr before sleeping; and to fast three days of each month. MuwataMalik-017-001-35417		Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said that Abu Bakr AlSiddiq was sending armies to AlSham. He went for a walk with Yazid Ibn Abi Sufyan who was the commander of one of the battalions. It is claimed that Yazid said to Abu Bakr; Will you ride or shall I get down? Abu Bakrsaid; I will not ride and you will not get down. I intend these steps of mine to be in the way of Allah. Then Abu Bakr advised Yazid; You will find a people who claim to have totally given themselves to Allah. Leave them to what they claim to have given themselves. You will find a people who have shaved the middle of their heads; strike what they have shaved with the sword. I advise you ten things: Do not kill women or children or an aged; infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place. Do not slaughter sheep or camels except for food. Do not burn bees and do not scatter them.
