Sufyan added; Thus people think that the Prophet ﷺ clothed Abdullah Bin Tubal in his shirt in lieu of what he Abdullah had done for AlAbbas; the Prophet uncle. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3662		Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Abu Bakr and AlAbbas passed by one of the gatherings of the Ansar who were weeping then. He i.e. Abu Bakr or AlAbbas asked; Why are you weeping? They replied; We are weeping because we remember the gathering of the Prophet ﷺ with us. So Abu Bakr went to the Prophet ﷺ and told him of that. The Prophet ﷺ came out; tying his head with a piece of the hem of a sheet. He ascended the pulpit which he never ascended after that day. He glorified and praised Allah and then said; I request you to take care of the Ansar as they are my near companions to whom I confided my private secrets. They have fulfilled their obligations and rights which were enjoined on them but there remains what is for them. So; accept the good of the good-doers amongst them and excuse the wrongdoers amongst them. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3724		Narrated Ibn Abbas: When Abu Dhar received the news of the Advent of the Prophet ﷺ he said to his brother; Ride to this valley of Mecca and try to find out the truth of the person who claims to be a prophet who is informed of the news of Heaven. Listen to what he says and come back to me. So his brother set out and came to the Prophet ﷺ and listened to some of his talks; and returned to Abu Dhar and said to him. I have seen him enjoining virtuous behavior and saying something that is not poetry. Abu Dhar said; You have not satisfied me as to what I wanted. He then took his journey-food and carried a waterskin of his; containing some water till be reached Mecca. He went to the Masjid and searched for the Prophet and though he did not know him; he hated to ask anybody about him. When a part of the night had passed away; Ali saw him and knew that he was a stranger. So when Abu Dhar saw Ali; he followed him; and none of them asked his companion about anything; and when it was dawn; Abu Dhar took his journey food and his water-skin to the Masjid and stayed there all the day long without being perceived by the Prophet; and when it was evening; he came back to his retiring place. Ali passed by him and said; Has the man not known his dwelling place yet? So Ali awakened him and took him with him and none of them spoke to the other about anything. When it was the third day. Ali did the same and Abu Dhar stayed with him. Then Ali said Will you tell me what has brought you here? Abu Dhar said; If you give me a firm promise that you will guide me; then I will tell you. Ali promised him; and he informed Ali about the matter. Ali said; It is true; and he is the Messenger of Allah. Next morning when you get up; accompany me; and if I see any danger for you; I will stop as if to pass water; but if I go on; follow me and enter the place which I will enter. Abu Dhar did so; and followed Ali till he entered the place of the Prophet; and Abu Dhar went in with him; Abu Dhar listened to some of the Prophet talks and embraced Islam on the spot. The Prophet ﷺ said to him; Go back to your people and inform them about it till you receive my order. Abu Dhar said; By Him in Whose Hand my life is; I will proclaim my conversion loudly amongst them i.e. the pagans. So he went out; and when he reached the Masjid; he said as loudly as possible; I bear witness that None has the right to be worshipped except Allah; and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. The People got up and beat him painfully. Then AlAbbas came and knelt over him to protect him and said to the people ; Woe to you! Dont you know that this man belongs to the tribe of Ghifar and your trade to Sham is through their way? So he rescued him from them. Abu Dhar again did the same the next day. They beat him and took vengeance on him and again AlAbbas knelt over him to protect him. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3817		Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah: Allah Messenger ﷺ once said to me; If the revenue of Bahrain came; I would give you this much and this much. When Allah Messenger ﷺ had died; the revenue of Bahrain came; and Abu Bakr announced; Let whoever was promised something by Allah Messenger ﷺ come to me. So; I went to Abu Bakr and said; Allah Messenger ﷺ said to me; If the revenue of Bahrain came; I would give you this much and this. much. On that Abu Bakr said to me; Scoop money with both your hands. I scooped money with both my hands and Abu Bakr asked me to count it. I counted it and it was five-hundred gold pieces. The total amount he gave me was one thousand and five hundred gold pieces. Narrated Anas: Money from Bahrain was brought to the Prophet ﷺ. He said; Spread it in the Masjid. It was the biggest amount that had ever been brought to Allah Messenger ﷺ. In the meantime AlAbbas came to him and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Give me; for I gave the ransom of myself and Aqil. The Prophet said to him ; Take. He scooped money with both hands and poured it in his garment and tried to lift it; but he could not and appealed to the Prophet; Will you order someone to help me in lifting it? The Prophet ﷺ said; No. Then AlAbbas said; Then will you yourself help me carry it? The Prophet ﷺ said; No. Then AlAbbas threw away some of the money; but even then he was not able to lift it; and so he gain requested the Prophet ﷺ Will you order someone to help me carry it? The Prophet said; No. Then AlAbbas said; Then will you yourself yelp me carry it? The Prophet ﷺ said; No. So; AlAbbas threw away some more money and lifted it on his shoulder and went away. The Prophet ﷺ kept on looking at him with astonishment at his greediness till he went out of our sight. Allah Messenger ﷺ did not get up from there till not a single Dirham remained from that money. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5769		Narrated Ibn Abbas: Allah Messenger ﷺ came to the drinking place and asked for water. AlAbbas said; O Fadl! SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6618		Narrated Hisham father: When Allah Messenger ﷺ set out towards Mecca during the year of the Conquest of Mecca and this news reached the infidels of Quraish ; Abu Sufyan; Hakim Bin Hizam and Budail Bin Warqa came out to gather information about Allah Messenger ﷺ ; They proceeded on their way till they reached a place called Marr AlZahran which is near Mecca. Behold! There they saw many fires as if they were the fires of Arafat. Abu Sufyan said; What is this? It looked like the fires of Arafat. Budail Bin Warqa said; Banu Amr are less in number than that. Some of the guards of Allah Messenger ﷺ saw them and took them over; caught them and brought them to Allah Messenger ﷺ. Abu Sufyan embraced Islam. When the Prophet ﷺ proceeded; he said to AlAbbas; Keep Abu Sufyan standing at the top of the mountain so that he would look at the Muslims. So AlAbbas kept him standing at that place and the tribes with the Prophet ﷺ started passing in front of Abu Sufyan in military batches. A batch passed and Abu Sufyan said; O Abbas Who are these? Abbas said; They are Banu Ghifar. Abu Sufyan said; I have got nothing to do with Ghifar. Then a batch of the tribe of Juhaina passed by and he said similarly as above. Then a batch of the tribe of Saad Bin Huzaim passed by and he said similarly as above. then Banu Sulaim passed by and he said similarly as above. Then came a batch; the like of which Abu Sufyan had not seen. He said; Who are these? Abbas said; They are the Ansar headed by Saad Bin Ubada; the one holding the flag. Saad Bin Ubada said; O Abu Sufyan! Today is the day of a great battle and today what is prohibited in the Kaba will be permissible. Abu Sufyan said.; O Abbas! How excellent the day of destruction is! Then came another batch of warriors which was the smallest of all the batches; and in it there was Allah Messenger ﷺ and his companions and the flag of the Prophet ﷺ was carried by AlZubair Bin AlAwam. When Allah Messenger ﷺ passed by Abu Sufyan; the latter said; to the Prophet ; Do you know what Saad Bin Ubada said? The Prophet ﷺ said; What did he say? Abu Sufyan said; He said so-and-so. The Prophet ﷺ said; Saad told a lie; but today Allah will give superiority to the Kaba and today the Kaba will be covered with a cloth covering. Allah Messenger ﷺ ordered that his flag be fixed at AlHajun. Narrated Urwa: Nafi Bin Jubair Bin Mutim said; I heard AlAbbas saying to AlZubair Bin AlAwam; O Abu Abdullah ! Did Allah Messenger ﷺ order you to fix the flag here? Allah Messenger ﷺ ordered Khalid Bin AlWalid to enter Mecca from its upper part from Kada while the Prophet ﷺ himself entered from Kuda. Two men from the cavalry of Khalid Bin AlWahd named Hubaish Bin AlAshar and Kurz Bin Jabir AlFihri were martyred on that day. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-910		Narrated Anas: Some goods came to Allah Messenger ﷺ from Bahrain. The Prophet ﷺ ordered the people to spread them in the Masjid -it was the biggest amount of goods Allah Messenger ﷺ had ever received. He left for prayer and did not even look at it. After finishing the prayer; he sat by those goods and gave from those to everybody he saw. AlAbbas came to him and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! give me something too; because I gave ransom for myself and Aqil. Allah Messenger ﷺ told him to take. So he stuffed his garment with it and tried to carry it away but he failed to do so. He said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Order someone to help me in lifting it. The Prophet ﷺ refused. He then said to the Prophet: Will you please help me to lift it? Allah Messenger ﷺ refused. Then AlAbbas threw some of it and tried to lift it but failed. He again said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ Order someone to help me to lift it. He refused. AlAbbas then said to the Prophet: Will you please help me to lift it? He again refused. Then AlAbbas threw some of it; and lifted it on his shoulders and went away. Allah Messenger ﷺ kept on watching him till he disappeared from his sight and was astonished at his greediness. SahihMuslim-017-001-23407		Ubaidullah Bin Abdullah reported: I visited Aisha and asked her to tell about the illness of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She agreed and said: The Apostle ﷺ was seriously ill and he asked whether the people had prayed. We said: No; they are waiting for you; Messenger of Allah. He the Holy Prophet said: Put some water in the tub for me. We did accordingly and he the Holy Prophet took a bath;and; when he was about to move with difficulty; he fainted. When he came round; he again said: Have the people said prayer? We said: No; they are waiting for you; Messenger of Allah. He the Holy Prophet again said: Put some water for me in the tub. We did accordingly and he took a bag; but when he was about to move with difficultyhe fainted. When he came round; he asked whether the people had prayed. We said: No; they are waiting for you; Messenger of Allah. He said: Put some water for me in the tub. We did accordingly and he took a bath and he was about to move with difficulty when he fainted. When he came roundhe said: Have the people saidprayer? We said: No; they are waiting for you; Messenger of Allah. She Aisha said: The people were staying in the Masjid and waiting for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to lead the last night prayer. She Aisha said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent instructions to Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. When the messenger came; he told him Abd Bakr : The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has ordered you to lead the people in prayer. Abu Bakr who was a man of very tenderly feelings asked Umar to lead the prayer. Umar said: You are more entitled to that. Abu Bakr led the prayers during those days. Afterwards the Messenger of Allah ﷺ felt some relief and he went out supported by two men; one of them was AlAbbas; to the noon prayer. Abu Bakr was leading the people in prayer. When Abu Bakr saw him. he began to withdraw; but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him not to withdraw. He told his two companions to seat him down beside him Abu Bakr. They seated him by the side of Abu Bakr. Abu Bakr said the prayer standing while following the prayer of the Apostle ﷺ and the people Bald prayer standing while following the prayer of Abu Bakr. The Apostle ﷺ was seated. Ubaidullah said: I visited Abdullah Bin Abbas; and said: Should I submit to you what Aisha had told about the illness of the Apostle ﷺ ? He said: Go ahead. I submitted to him what had been transmitted by her Aisha. He objected to none of it; only asking whether she had named to him the man who accompanied AlAbbas. I said: No. He said: It was Ali. He would use the proceeds from two of them for himself and his family; and one of them would cup him and his family. He said: Ibn Abbas said: The Prophet S.A.W said: How excellent is the slave who cups; letting the blood; relieving the back; and clearing the vision. And he said: Indeed the best for you to cup on are the seventeenth; the nineteenth; and the twenty-first. And he said: Indeed the best of what you treat is AlSaut; AlLadud; cupping and laxatives. She said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; became seriously ill; he said: Have the people prayed? We said: No; they are waiting for you; 0 Messenger of Allah ﷺ He said: Put some water in a tub for me. We did that and he performed Ghusl; then he tried to get up but he fainted. Then he came to us and said: Have the people prayed? We said: No; they are waiting for you; 0 Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: Put some water in a tub for me. We did that and he performed Ghusl; then he tried to get up but he fainted. Then for the third time he said the same thing. She said: The people were in the Masjid; waiting for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to lead the prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent word to Abu Bakr; telling him to lead the people in prayer; so the messenger came to him and said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is telling you to lead the people in prayer. Abu Bakr was a tenderhearted man; he said: 0 Umar. lead the in prayer. But Umar said: You have more right to that. So Abu Bakr led them in prayer during those days. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ felt a little better; he came with the help of two men; one of whom was AlAbbas; to pray Zuhr. When Abu Bakr saw him; he wanted to step back; but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gestured to him not to step back. He told them the two men to seat him beside Abu Bakr; and Abu Bakr started to pray standing. The people were following the prayer of Abu Bakr and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying sitting. I Ubaidullah entered upon Ibn Abbas and said Shall I not tell you what Aisha narrated to me about the sickness of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? He said: Yes. So I told him and he did not deny any of it; but he said: Did she tell you the name of the man who was with AlAbbas? I said: No. He said: That was Ali; may Allah honor his face. SunanAlNasai-017-001-12093		Ibn Abbad narrated that: a man slandered one of his forefathers from the time of the Aljahiliyah; and AlAbbas slapped him. When he was opposite AlAbbas house; he escaped; and going in to AlAbbas; he grasped hold of him. When I entered upon him; he said: Malik; some people of you tribe gradually came here; and I have ordered to give them something; so distribute it among them. I said: If you assigned this work to some other person; it would be better. He said: Take it. Then Yarfa came to him and said: Commander of the Faithful; will you permit Uthman Bin Affan; Abdulrahman Bin Awuf ; AlZubair Bin AlAwam; and Saad b; Abi Waqqas to enter ? He said: Yes. So he permitted them and they entered. Yarfa again came to him and said: Commander of the Faithful; would you permit AlAbbas and Ali ? He said: Yes. He then permitted them and they entered. AlAbbas said: Commander of Faithful; decide between me and this; referring to Ali. Some of them said: Yes; Commander of the Faithful; decide between them and give them comfort. Malik Bin Aws said: It occurred to me that both of them brought the other people for this. Umar said: Show patience do not make haste. He then turned towards those people and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We are not inherited whatever we leave is sadaqah alms. They said: Yes. He then turned towards Ali and AlAbbas and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We are not inherited whatever we leave is sadaqah alms. They said: Yes. He then said: Allah has appointed for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a special portion in the booty which he did not do for anyone. Allah; Most High; said: What Allah has bestowed on His Apostle and taken away from them - for this ye made no expedition with either cavalry or camelry. But Allah gives power to His apostles over any He pleases ; and Allah has power over all things. Allah bestowed the property of Banu AlNadir on His Apostle. I swear by Allah; he did not reserve it for himself; nor did he take it over and above you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to his share for his maintenance annually; or used to take his contribution and give his family their annual contribution from this property ; then take what remained and deal with it as he did with Allah property. He then turned towards those people and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that ? They said: Yes. He then turned towards Ali and AlAbbas and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that ? They said: Yes. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died; Abu Bakr said: I am the protector of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then you and this Ali came to Abu Bakr; demanding a share from the inheritance of your cousin; and this Ali demanding the share of his wife from the property of her father. Abu Bakr then said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We are not inherited. Whatever we leave is sadaqah. Allah knows that he Abu Bakr was true; faithful; rightly-guided; and the follower of Triuth. Abu Bakr then administered it property of the Prophet. When Abu Bakr died; I said: I am the protector of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr. So I administered whatever Allah wished. Then you and this Ali came. Both of you are at one; and your matter is the same. So they asked me for it property ; and I said: If you wish I give it to you on condition that you are bound by the covenant of Allah; meaning that you will administer it as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to administer. So you took it from me on that condition. Then again you have come to me so that I decide between you other than that. I swear by Allah; I shall not decide between you other than that till the Last Hour comes. If you helpless; return it to me.Abu Dawud said: They asked him for making it half between them; and not that they were ignorant of the fact the Prophet ﷺ said: We are not inherited. Whatever we leave is sadaqah alms. They were also seeking the truth. Umar then said: I do not apply the name of division to it ; It leave it on its former condition. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29255		Narrated Ali Ibn Abu Talib: I; AlAbbas; Fatimah and Zayd Ibn Harithah gathered with the Prophet ﷺ and I said: Messenger of Allah; if you think to assign us our right portion in this fifth of the booty as mentioned in the Book of Allah; and this I may divide during your lifetime so that no one may dispute me after you; then do it. He said: He did that. He said: I divided it during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abu Bakr then assigned it to me. During the last days of the caliphate of Umar a good deal of property came to him and took out our portion. I said to him: We are well to do this year; but the Muslims are needy; so return it to them. He; therefore; returned it to them. No one called me after Umar. I met AlAbbas when I came out from Umar. He said: Ali; today you have deprived us of a thing that will never be returned to us. He was indeed a man of wisdom.
