SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2622 | Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah: Muadh Bin Jabal used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ and then go to lead his people in prayer. Once he led the people in prayer and recited Surat AlBaqara. A man left the row of the praying people and offered light prayer separately and went away. When Muadh came to know about it; he said. He that man is a hypocrite. Later that man heard what Muadh said about him; so he came to the Prophet and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! We are people who work with our own hands and irrigate our farms with our camels. Last night Muadh led us in the night prayer and he recited Surat AlBaqara; so I offered my prayer separately; and because of that; he accused me of being a hypocrite. The Prophet called Muadh and said thrice; O Muadh! You are putting the people to trials? Recite Washshamsi wad-uhaha 91 orSabbih isma Rabbi ka AlAla 87 or the like. | The Chapter on Recitation From Memory in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Whoever does not consider as Kafir the person who says that in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-673 | Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah AlAnsari: Once a man was driving two Nadihas camels used for agricultural purposes and night had fallen. He found Muadh praying so he made his camel kneel and joined Muadh in the prayer. The latter recited Surat AlBaqara or Surat AlNisa; so the man left the prayer and went away. When he came to know that Muadh had criticized him; he went to the Prophet; and complained against Muadh. The Prophet said thrice; O Muadh ! Are you putting the people to trial? It would have been better if you had recited Sabbih Isma Rabbika AlAla 87 ; Wash-shamsi wa duhaha 91 ; or Allaili idha yaghsha 92 ; for the old; the weak and the needy pray behind you. Jabir said that Muadh recited Surat AlBaqara in the Isha prayer. | The Chapter on Recitation From Memory in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Complaining against one Imam if he prolongs the prayer in Sahih AlBukhari |

He the narrator said: I met Ibrahim and informed him about these words of his the statement of AlHajjaj Bin Yousif. He cursed him and said: Abdulrahman Bin Yazid has narrated to me that when he was in the company of Abdullah Bin Masudd Allah be pleased with them he came to Jamrat AlAqaba and then entered the heart of the valley and faced towards it the Jamra and then flung seven pebbles at it from the heart of the valley pronouncing Takbir with every pebble. I said: Abu Abdulrahman people fling pebbles at it Jamra from the upper side; whereupon he said: By Him besides Whom there is no god; that is the place of flinging pebbles of one upon whom Surah AlBaqara was revealed; | The Chapter on Recitation Of Surat Albaqara in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 50 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-23511 | Jabir reported that Muadh Bin Jabal used to pray with the Apostle ﷺ ; then came and led his people in prayer. One night he said the night prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He then came to his people and led them in prayer beginning with Surat AlBaqara. A man turned Aasi de; pronounced the taslim salutation for concluding the prayer ; then prayed alone and departed. The people said to him: Have you become a hypocrite; so and so? He said: I swear by Allah that I have not; but I will certainly go to Allah Messenger ﷺ and will inform him about this. He then came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah; we look after camels used for watering and work by day. Muadh said the night prayer with you. He then came and began with Surat AlBaqara. Allah Messenger ﷺ then turned to Muadh and said: Are you there to put the people to trial? Recite such and recite such and such a surah. It is transmitted on the authority of Jabir; as told by Sufyan; that he the Holy Prophet had said: By the sun and its morning brightness Surah xci ; By brightness Surah xciii ; By the night when it spreads Surah xcii ; and Glorify the name of thy most high Lord Surah lxxxii. | The Chapter on Glory And Praise To Allah In Recitation in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 36 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-23933 | Abu Umama said he heard Allah Messenger ﷺ say: Recite the Quran; for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones; AlBaqara and Surah AlImran; for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades; or two flocks of birds in ranks; pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah AlBaqara; for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief; and the magicians cannot confront it. Muawiya said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians. | The Chapter on Recitation Of Surat Albaqara in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 42 in Sahih Muslim
