SahihAlBukhari-017-001-029 | Narrated Salim father: In the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ whosoever saw a dream would narrate it to Allah Messenger ﷺ. I had a wish of seeing a dream to narrate it to Allah Messenger ﷺ ﷺ I was a grown up boy and used to sleep in the Masjid in the lifetime of the Prophet. I saw in the dream that two angels caught hold of me and took me to the Fire which was built all round like a built well and had two poles in it and the people in it were known to me. I started saying; I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire. Then I met another angel who told me not to be afraid. I narrated the dream to Hafsa who told it to Allah Messenger ﷺ. The Prophet said; Abdullah is a good man. I wish he prayed Tahajjud. After that Abdullah i.e. Salim father used to sleep but a little at night. | The Chapter on Charity To Save Oneself From Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The superiority of Tahajjud prayer in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-064 | Narrated Nafi: Ibn Umar said; In the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ I dreamt that a piece of silk cloth was in my hand and it flew with me to whichever part of Paradise I wanted. I also saw as if two persons i.e. angels came to me and wanted to take me to Hell. Then an angel met us and told me not to be afraid. He then told them to leave me. Hafsa narrated one of my dreams to the Prophet ﷺ and the Prophet ﷺ said; Abdullah is a good man. Would that he offer the night prayer Tahajjud ! So after that day Abdullah bin Umar started offering Tahajjud. The companions of the Prophet ﷺ used to tell him their dreams that Laila-t AlQadr was on the 27th of the month of Ramadan. The Prophet ﷺ said; I see that your dreams agree on the last ten nights of Ramadan and so whoever is in search of it should seek it in the last ten nights of Ramadan. | The Chapter on Ramadan And Fasting Prostrating On Mud in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The superiority of one who wakes up at night and offers the Salat with a loud voice in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1062 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; A group of angels stay with you at night and another group of angels by daytime; and both groups gather at the time of the Asr and Fajr prayers. Then those angels who have stayed with you overnight; ascend to Heaven and Allah asks them about you -- and He knows everything about you. In what state did you leave My slaves? The angels reply; When we left them; they were praying; and when we reached them they were praying. | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And The Companions in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The angels and the Ruh ascend to Him in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1086 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Masud: Allah Messenger ﷺ the true and truly inspired; narrated to us; The creation of everyone of you starts with the process of collecting the material for his body within forty days and forty nights in the womb of his mother. Then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period 40 days and then he becomes like a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then an angel is sent to him by Allah and the angel is allowed ordered to write four things; his livelihood; his date of death; his deeds; and whether he will be a wretched one or a blessed one in the Hereafter and then the soul is breathed into him. So one of you may do good deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise so much that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Paradise but then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing evil deeds characteristic of the people of Hell Fire and ultimately enters Hell Fire ; and one of you may do evil deeds characteristic of the people of Hell Fire so much so that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Hell Fire ; then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing good deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and ultimately enters Paradise. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1113 | Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet ﷺ said; When Allah ordains something on the Heaven the angels beat with their wings in obedience to His Statement which sounds like that of a chain dragged over a rock. His Statement: Until when the fear is banished from their hearts; the Angels say; What was it that your Lord said? They reply; He has said the Truth. And He is the Most High; The Great. 34.23 | The Chapter on Truth And Hypocrisy And Martyrs in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Intercession with Him profits not except for him whom He permits in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1118 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; There are angels coming to you in succession at night; and others during the day; and they all gather at the time of Asr and Fajr prayers. Then the angels who have stayed with you overnight ascend to the heaven and He Allah asks them though He perfectly knows their affairs. In what state have you left my slaves? They say; When we left them; they were praying and when we came to them they were praying. | The Chapter on Prayers And Supplication in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Talk of the Lord with Jibril and Allahs Call for the angels in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1148 | Narrated Anas Bin Malik: The night Allah Messenger ﷺ was taken for a journey from the sacred Masjid of Mecca AlKaba: Three persons came to him in a dreamy while he was sleeping in the Sacred Masjid before the Divine Inspiration was revealed to Him. One of them said; Which of them is he? The middle second angel said; He is the best of them. The last third angle said; Take the best of them. Only that much happened on that night and he did not see them till they came on another night; i.e. after The Divine Inspiration was revealed to him. Fath AlBari Page 258; Vol. 17 and he saw them; his eyes were asleep but his heart was not--and so is the case with the prophets: their eyes sleep while their hearts do not sleep. So those angels did not talk to him till they carried him and placed him beside the well of Zamzam. From among them Gabriel took charge of him. Gabriel cut open the part of his body between his throat and the middle of his chest heart and took all the material out of his chest and Abdomen and then washed it with Zamzam water with his own hands till he cleansed the inside of his body; and then a gold tray containing a gold bowl full of belief and wisdom was brought and then Gabriel stuffed his chest and throat blood vessels with it and then closed it the chest. He then ascended with him to the heaven of the world and knocked on one of its doors. The dwellers of the Heaven asked; Who is it? He said; Gabriel. They said; Who is accompanying you? He said; Muhammad. They said; Has he been called? He said; Yes They said; He is welcomed. So the dwellers of the Heaven became pleased with his arrival; and they did not know what Allah would do to the Prophet ﷺ on earth unless Allah informed them. The Prophet ﷺ met Adam over the nearest Heaven. Gabriel said to the Prophet; He is your father; greet him. The Prophet ﷺ greeted him and Adam returned his greeting and said; Welcome; O my Son! O what a good son you are! Behold; he saw two flowing rivers; while he was in the nearest sky. He asked; What are these two rivers; O Gabriel? Gabriel said; These are the sources of the Nile and the Euphrates. Then Gabriel took him around that Heaven and behold; he saw another river at the bank of which there was a palace built of pearls and emerald. He put his hand into the river and found its mud like musk Adhfar. He asked; What is this; O Gabriel? Gabriel said; This is the Kauthar which your Lord has kept for you. Then Gabriel ascended with him to the second Heaven and the angels asked the same questions as those on the first Heaven; i.e.; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. They asked; Who is accompanying you? He said; Muhammad. They asked; Has he been sent for? He said; Yes. Then they said; He is welcomed. Then he Gabriel ascended with the Prophet ﷺ to the third Heaven; and the angels said the same as the angels of the first and the second Heavens had said. Then he ascended with him to the fourth Heaven and they said the same; and then he ascended with him to the fifth Heaven and they said the same; and then he ascended with him to the sixth Heaven and they said the same; then he ascended with him to the seventh Heaven and they said the same. On each Heaven there were prophets whose names he had mentioned and of whom I remember Idris on the second Heaven; Aaron on the fourth Heavens another prophet whose name I dont remember; on the fifth Heaven; Abraham on the sixth Heaven; and Moses on the seventh Heaven because of his privilege of talking to Allah directly. Moses said to Allah ; O Lord! I thought that none would be raised up above me. But Gabriel ascended with him the Prophet for a distance above that; the distance of which only Allah knows; till he reached the Lote Tree beyond which none may pass and then the Irresistible; the Lord of Honor and Majesty approached and came closer till he Gabriel was about two bow lengths or even nearer. It is said that it was Gabriel who approached and came closer to the Prophet. Fate AlBari Page 263; 264; Vol. 17. Among the things which Allah revealed to him then; was: Fifty prayers were enjoined on his followers in a day and a night. Then the Prophet ﷺ descended till he met Moses; and then Moses stopped him and asked; O Muhammad ! What did your Lord en join upon you? The Prophet ﷺ replied; He enjoined upon me to perform fifty prayers in a day and a night. Moses said; Your followers cannot do that; Go back so that your Lord may reduce it for you and for them. So the Prophet ﷺ turned to Gabriel as if he wanted to consult him about that issue. Gabriel told him of his opinion; saying; Yes; if you wish. So Gabriel ascended with him to the Irresistible and said while he was in his place; O Lord; please lighten our burden as my followers cannot do that. So Allah deducted for him ten prayers where upon he returned to Moses who stopped him again and kept on sending him back to his Lord till the enjoined prayers were reduced to only five prayers. Then Moses stopped him when the prayers had been reduced to five and said; O Muhammad! By Allah; I tried to persuade my nation; Bani Israel to do less than this; but they could not do it and gave it up. However; your followers are weaker in body; heart; sight and hearing; so return to your Lord so that He may lighten your burden. The Prophet ﷺ turned towards Gabriel for advice and Gabriel did not disapprove of that. So he ascended with him for the fifth time. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Lord; my followers are weak in their bodies; hearts; hearing and constitution; so lighten our burden. On that the Irresistible said; O Muhammad! the Prophet replied; Labbaik and Sadaik. Allah said; The Word that comes from Me does not change; so it will be as I enjoined on you in the Mother of the Book. Allah added; Every good deed will be rewarded as ten times so it is fifty prayers in the Mother of the Book in reward but you are to perform only five in practice. The Prophet ﷺ returned to Moses who asked; What have you done? He said; He has lightened our burden: He has given us for every good deed a tenfold reward. Moses said; By Allah! I tried to make Bani Israel observe less than that; but they gave it up. So go back to your Lord that He may lighten your burden further. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; O Moses! By Allah; I feel shy of returning too many times to my Lord. On that Gabriel said; Descend in Allah Name. The Prophet ﷺ then woke while he was in the Sacred Masjid at Mecca. | The Chapter on Heaven Gabriel Moses And Abraham in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on And to Musa Moses Allah spoke directly in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1415 | Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah: Some angels came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was sleeping. Some of them said; He is sleeping. Others said; His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake. Then they said; There is an example for this companion of yours. One of them said; Then set forth an example for him. Some of them said; He is sleeping. The others said; His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake. Then they said; His example is that of a man who has built a house and then offered therein a banquet and sent an inviter messenger to invite the people. So whoever accepted the invitation of the inviter; entered the house and ate of the banquet; and whoever did not accept the invitation of the inviter; did not enter the house; nor did he eat of the banquet. Then the angels said; Interpret this example to him so that he may understand it. Some of them said; He is sleeping. The others said; His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake. And then they said; The houses stands for Paradise and the call maker is Muhammad; and whoever obeys Muhammad; obeys Allah; and whoever disobeys Muhammad; disobeys Allah. Muhammad separated the people i.e.; through his message; the good is distinguished from the bad; and the believers from the disbelievers. | The Chapter on Entering in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Following the Sunna of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-142 | Narrated Fatima bint AlMundhir: Asma bint AlBakr said; I came to Aisha the wife of the Prophet ﷺ during the solar eclipse. The people were standing and offering the prayer and she was also praying too. I asked her; What has happened to the people? She pointed out with her hand towards the sky and said; Subhan-Allah. I said; Is there a sign? She pointed out in the affirmative. Asma further said; I too then stood up for the prayer till I fainted and then poured water on my head. When Allah Messenger ﷺ had finished his prayer; he thanked and praised Allah and said; I have seen at this place of mine what I have never seen even Paradise and Hell. No doubt; it has been inspired to me that you will be put to trial in the graves like or nearly like the trial of Masih AlDajjal. I do not know which one of the two Asma said. The angels will come to everyone of you and will ask what do you know about this man i.e. Muhammad. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1618 | Narrated Aisha: The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah Messenger ﷺ was in the form of good righteous true dreams in his sleep. He never had a dream but that it came true like bright day light. He used to go in seclusion the cave of Hira where he used to worship Allah Alone continuously for many days nights. He used to take with him the journey food for that stay and then come back to his wife Khadija to take his food like-wise again for another period to stay; till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet ﷺ replied; I do not know how to read. The Prophet ﷺ added ; The angel caught me forcefully and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read; and I replied; I do not know how to read; whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read; but again I replied; I do not know how to read or; what shall I read?. Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said; Read: In the Name of your Lord; Who has created all that exists. Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous...up to.......that which he knew not. 96.15 Then Allah Messenger ﷺ returned with the Inspiration; his neck muscles twitching with terror till he entered upon Khadija and said; Cover me! Cover me! They covered him till his fear was over and then he said; O Khadija; what is wrong with me? Then he told her everything that had happened and said; I fear that something may happen to me. Khadija said; Never! But have the glad tidings; for by Allah; Allah will never disgrace you as you keep good reactions with your Kith and kin; speak the truth; help the poor and the destitute; serve your guest generously and assist the deserving; calamityafflicted ones. Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa Bin Nawfal Bin Asad Bin Abdul Uzza Bin Qusai. Waraqa was the son of her paternal uncle; i.e.; her father brother; who during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the Arabic writing and used to write of the Gospels in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to him; O my cousin! Listen to the story of your nephew. Waraqa asked; O my nephew! What have you seen? The Prophet ﷺ described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said; This is the same Namus i.e.; Gabriel; the Angel who keeps the secrets whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked; Will they turn me out? Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said: Never did a man come with something similar to what you have brought but was treated with hostility. If I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly. But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet ﷺ became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down; Gabriel would appear before him and say; O Muhammad! You are indeed Allah Messenger ﷺ in truth whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home. And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long; he would do as before; but when he used to reach the top of a mountain; Gabriel would appear before him and say to him what he had said before. I said to myself; If there were any good in myself; I too would see what these people see. So when I went to bed one night; I said; O Allah! If you see any good in me; show me a good dream. So while I was in that state; there came to me in a dream two angels. In the hand of each of them; there was a mace of iron; and both of them were taking me to Hell; and I was between them; invoking Allah; O Allah! I seek refuge with You from Hell. Then I saw myself being confronted by another angel holding a mace of iron in his hand. He said to me; Do not be afraid; you will be an excellent man if you only pray more often. So they took me till they stopped me at the edge of Hell; and behold; it was built inside like a well and it had side posts like those of a well; and beside each post there was an angel carrying an iron mace. I saw therein many people hanging upside down with iron chains; and I recognized therein some men from the Quraish. Then the angels took me to the right side. SahihMuslim-017-001-18117 | It has been narrated on the authority of Aisha; the wife of the Prophet ﷺ ; who said to the Messenger of Allah may peace he upon him : Messenger of Allah; has there come upon you a day more terrible than the day of Uhud. He said: I have experienced from thy people and the hardest treatment I met from them was what I received from them on the day of Aqaba. I betook myself to Ibn Abd Yalil Bin Abd Kulal with the purpose of inviting him to Islam; but he did not respond to me as I desired. So I departed with signs of deep distress on my face. I did not recover until I reached Qarn AlThaalib. Where I raised my head; lo! near me was a cloud which had cast its shadow on me. I looked and lo! there was in it the angel Jibril who called out to me and said: God; the Honoured and Glorious; has heard what thy people have said to thee; and how they have reacted to thy call. And He has sent to thee the angel in charge of the mountains so that thou mayest order him what thou wishest him to do with regard to them. The angel in charge of the mountains then called out to me; greeted me and said: Muhammad; God has listened to what thy people have said to thee. I am the angel in charge of the mountains; and thy Lord has sent me to thee so that thou mayest order me what thou wishest. If thou wishest that I should bring together the two mountains that stand opposite to each other at the extremities of Mecca to crush them in between; I would do that. But the Messenger of Allah may peace he upon him said to him: I rather hope that God will produce from their descendants such persons as will worship Allah; the One; and will not ascribe partners to Him. | The Chapter on Allah Characteristics Vs Evil in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 39 in Sahih Muslim

SahihMuslim-017-001-18383 | It is narrated on the authority of Yahya Bin Yamur that the first man who discussed qadr Divine Decree in Basra was Mabad AlJuhani. I along with Humaid Bin Abdulrahman Himyari set out for pilgrimage or for Umrah and said: Should it so happen that we come into contact with one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ we shall ask him about what is talked about taqdir Divine Decree. Accidentally we came across Abdullah Ibn Umar Ibn AlKhattab; while he was entering the Masjid. My companion and I surrounded him. One of us stood on his right and the other stood on his left. I expected that my companion would authorize me to speak. I therefore said: Abu Abdulrahman There have appeared some people in our land who recite the Quran and pursue knowledge. And then after talking about their affairs; added: They such people claim that there is no such thing as Divine Decree and events are not predestined. He Abdullah Ibn Umar said: When you happen to meet such people tell them that I have nothing to do with them and they have nothing to do with me. And verily they are in no way responsible for my belief. Abdullah Ibn Umar swore by Him the Lord and said : If any one of them who does not believe in the Divine Decree had with him gold equal to the bulk of the mountain Uhud and spent it in the way of Allah ; Allah would not accept it unless he affirmed his faith in Divine Decree. He further said: My father; Umar Ibn AlKhattab; told me: One day we were sitting in the company of Allah Apostle ﷺ when there appeared before us a man dressed in pure white clothes; his hair extraordinarily black. There were no signs of travel on him. None amongst us recognized him. At last he sat with the Apostle ﷺ He knelt before him placed his palms on his thighs and said: Muhammad; inform me about AlIslam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: AlIslam implies that you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and you establish prayer; pay Zakat; observe the fast of Ramadan; and perform pilgrimage to the House if you are solvent enough to bear the expense of the journey. He the inquirer said: You have told the truth. He Umar Ibn AlKhattab said: It amazed us that he would put the question and then he would himself verify the truth. He the inquirer said: Inform me about Iman faith. He the Holy Prophet replied: That you affirm your faith in Allah; in His angels; in His Books; in His Apostles; in the Day of Judgment; and you affirm your faith in the Divine Decree about good and evil. He the inquirer said: You have told the truth. He the inquirer again said: Inform me about AlIhsan performance of good deeds. He the Holy Prophet said: That you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him; for though you dont see Him; He; verily; sees you. He the enquirer again said: Inform me about the hour of the Doom. He the Holy Prophet remarked: One who is asked knows no more than the one who is inquiring about it. He the inquirer said: Tell me some of its indications. He the Holy Prophet said: That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master; that you will find barefooted; destitute goat-herds vying with one another in the construction of magnificent buildings. He the narrator; Umar Ibn AlKhattab said: Then he the inquirer went on his way but I stayed with him the Holy Prophet for a long while. He then; said to me: Umar; do you know who this inquirer was? I replied: Allah and His Apostle knows best. He the Holy Prophet remarked: He was Gabriel the angel. He then went away and said: Peace be upon you! They the angels said: May there be peace upon you and the Mercy of Allah; and they made an addition of Mercy of Allah. And it is carried by the angels to its Lord; the Exalted and Glorious. He would say: Take it to its destined end. And if he is a nonbeliever and as it the soul leaves the body-Hammad made a mention of its foul smell and of its being cursed-the dwellers of the sky say: There comes a dirty soul from the side of the earth; and it would be said: Take it to its destined end. He was directed to a monk. He came to him and told him that he had killed ninety-nine persons and asked him whether there was any scope for his repentance to be accepted. He said: No. He killed him also and thus completed one hundred. He then asked about the learned persons of the earth and he was directed to a scholar; and he told him that he had killed one hundred persons and asked him whether there was any scope for his repentance to be accepted. He said: Yes; what stands between you and the repentance? You better go to such and such land; there are people devoted to prayer and worship and you also worship along with them and do not come to the land of yours since it was an evil land for you. So he went away and he had hardly covered half the distance when death came to him and there was a dispute between the angels of mercy and the angels of punishment. The angels of mercy said: This man has come as a penitant and remorseful to Allah and the angels of punishment said: He has done no good at all. Then there came another angel in the form of a human being in order to decide between them. He said: You measure the land to which he has drawn near. They measured it and found him nearer to the land where he intended to go the land of piety ; and so the angels of mercy took possession of it. They the angels would say: Our Lord; from the Hell-Fire. He the Lord would say: Have they seen My Fire? They would say: No. He the Lord would say: What it would be if they were to see My Fire? They would say: They beg of Thee forgiveness. He would say: I grant pardon to them; and confer upon them what they ask for and grant them protection against which they seek protection. They the angels would again say: Our Lord; there is one amongst them such and such simple servant who happened to pass by that assembly and sat there along with them who had been participating in that assembly. SahihMuslim-017-001-20154 | Abu Huraira reported that the Angel of Death was sent to Moses ﷺ to inform of his Lord summons. When he came; he Moses boxed him and his eye was knocked out. He the Angel of Death came back to the Lord and said: You sent me to a servant. who did not want to die. Allah restored his eye to its proper place and revived his eyesight ; and then said: Go back to him and tell him that if he wants life he must place his hand on the back of an ox; and he would be granted as many years of life as the number of hair covered by his hand. He Moses said: My Lord what would happen then He said: Then you must court death. He said: Let it be now. And he supplicated Allah to bring him close to the sacred land. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: If I were there; I would have shown you his grave beside the road at the red mound. | The Chapter on Life And Death And Dyeing in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 42 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-20155 | Abu Huraira reported Allah Messenger ﷺ having said that the Angel of Death came to Moses and said: Respond to the call of Allah i. e. be prepared for death. Moses ﷺ gave a blow at the eye of the Angel of Death and knocked it out. The Angel went back to Allah the Exalted and said: You sent me to your servant who does not like to die and he knocked out my eye. Allah restored his eye to its proper place and revived his eyesight and said: Go to My servant and say: Do you want life? And in case you want life; keep your hand on the body of the ox and you would live such number of years as the number of hair your hand covers. He Moses said: What; then? He said: Then you would die; whereupon he Moses said: Then why not now? He then prayed : Allah; cause me to die close to the sacred land. SahihMuslim-017-001-20345 | Abdullah. Ibn Abbas reported: A person from the Ansar who was amongst the Companions of Allah Messenger ﷺ reported to me: As we were sitting during the night with Allah Messenger ﷺ ; a meteor shot gave a dazzling light. Allah Messenger ﷺ said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot of meteor ? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best the actual position ; but we; however; used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died; whereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: These meteors are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; issues Command when He decides to do a thing. Then the Angels supporting the Throne sing His glory; then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this glory of God reaches them who are in the heaven of this world. Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne: What your Lord has said? And they accordingly inform them what He says. Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of the world. In this process of transmission the jinn snatches what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels see the jinn they attack them with meteors. If they narrate only which they manage to snatch that is correct but they alloy it with lies and make additions to it. | The Chapter on Good Manners And The Companions in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 35 in Sahih Muslim

Then he cast a glance and by chance found a puppy under his cot and said: Aisha; when did this dog enter here? She said: By Allah; I dont know He then commanded and it was turned out. Then Gabriel came and Allah Messenger ﷺ said to him: You promised me and I waited for you; but you did not come; whereupon he said: It was the dog in your house which prevented me to come ; for we angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture. | The Chapter on Potent Houre in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 26 in Sahih Muslim

She said: No I did not hear this myself ; but I narrate to you what I saw him doing. I bear testimony to the fact that he the Holy Prophet set out for an expedition. I took a carpet and screened the door with it. When he the Holy Prophet came back he saw that carpet and I perceived signs of disapproval on his face. He pulled it until it was torn or it was cut into pieces and he said: God has not commanded us to clothe stones and clay. I was sleeping in the Masjid during the lifetime of Allah Messenger ﷺ tl at I saw in a dream as if two Angels have taken hold of me and they have carried me to the fire; and; lo; it was built like the easing of a well and had two pillars like those of a well; and; lo; there were people in it whom I knew and I cried out: I seek refuge with Allah from Hell-fire; I seek refuge with Allah from Hell-fire. He said: I came to assist you. He said: Go to the people to repel their advances against me. For verily your going is better to me than your entering here. He said: So Abdullah Bin Salam went to the people and said: O you people! During Aljahiliyah I was named so-and-so; then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ named me Abdullah; and some Ayat from the Book of Allah were revealed about me. The following was revealed about me: A witness from among the Children of Israil has testified to something similar; and believed while you rejected. Verily; Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. 46:10 And the following was revealed about me: Sufficient as a witness between me and you is Allah; and those too who have knowledge of the Scripture. 13:43 Allah has sheathed the sword from you and the angels are your neighbors in this city of yours; the one in which the Revelation came to your Prophet. But by Allah! Fear Allah regarding this man; if you kill him; then by Allah! SunanAlTermithi-017-001-10246 | Abu Huraira narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: When Allah created Adam; He breathed the soul into him; then he sneezed and said: All praise is due to Allah. So he praised Allah by His permission. Then His Lord said to him: May Allah have mercy upon you O Adam. Go to those angels to that gathering of them sitting so say: AlSalamu Alaikas-Salamu; Wa Rahmatullah Then he returned to his Lord; He said: This is your greeting and the greeting of your children among each other. Then Allah said to him while His Two Hands were closed Choose which of them you wish. He said: I chose the right My Lord and both of the Hands of my Lord are right; blessed. Then He extended it; and there was Adam and his offspring in it. So he said: What are these O my Lord? He said: These are your offspring? Each one of them had his age written between his eyes. But among them there was a man who was the most illuminating of them or among the most illuminated of them. He said: O Lord! Who is this? He said: This is your son Dawud; I wrote forty years for him. He said: O Lord! Add to his age. He said: That is what I have written for him. He said: O Lord! Give him sixty of my years. He said: So you shall have it. He said: Then; he resided in Paradise as long as Allah willed; then he was cast from it; so Adam was counting for himself. He said: So the Angel of death came to him; and Adam said to him: You are hasty; one-thousand years were written for me. He said: Of course! But you gave sixty years to your son Dawud. So he rejected; and his offspring rejected; and he forgot; and his offspring forgot. For prayer is attended and witnessed by the angels until the sun rises; then it rises between the two horns of the Shaitan; that is the time when the disbelievers pray; so do not pray until the sun had risen to the height of a spear and its rays have disappeared. The protection granted by Muslim is one even if the humblest of them grants it. So if anyone breaks a covenant made by a Muslim the curse of Allaah; angels and all men will fall upon him and no repentance or ransom will be accepted from him. He asked: Who are the people buried in these graves? The people replied: Messenger of Allah! These are some people who died in the pre-Islamic times. He said: Seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the fire; and the trail of Antichrist. They asked: Why is it that; Messenger of Allah? He said: When a man is placed in his grave; an angel comes to him and says to him: Whom did you worship? Allah then guides him and he says: I worshiped Allah. He is then asked: What was your opinion of this man? He replies: He is Allahs servant and His Apostle. He will not then be asked about anything else. He will then be taken to his abode in Hell and will be told: This was your abode in Hell; but Allah protected you and had mercy on you substituted for you an abode in Paradise for it. He will say: Leave me so that I may go and give glad tidings to my family. He will be told: Dwell. When an infidel is placed in his grave; an angel comes to him; reprimands him and asks him: Whom did you worship? He replies: I do not know. He will be told: You neither knew nor did you follow the believers. He is then asked: What was your opinion on this man? He replies: I held the opinion that the other people held. He will then give him a blow between his ears with an iron hammer and will utter a shout which will be heard by all the creatures near him with the exception of men and jinn. | The Chapter on Worship To Save Oneself From Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Questioning And Punishment In The Grave in Sunan Abu Dawoud
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25970 | Narrated AlBara Ibn Azib: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accompanying the bier of a man of the Ansar. When we reached his grave; it was not yet dug. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down and we also sat down around him as if birds were over our heads. He had in his hand a stick with which he was scratching the ground. He then raised his head and said: Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave. He said it twice or thrice. The version of Jabir adds here: He hears the beat of their sandals when they go back; and at that moment he is asked: O so and so! Who is your Lord; what is your religion; and who is your Prophet? Hannad version says: Two angels will come to him; make him sit up and ask him: Who is your Lord? He will reply: My Lord is Allah. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: My religion is Islam. They will ask him: What is your opinion about the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: He is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They will ask: Who made you aware of this? He will reply: I read Allah Book; believed in it; and considered it true; which is verified by Allah words: Allah Book; believed in it; and considered it true; which is verified by Allah words: Allah establishes those who believe with the word that stands firm in this world and the next. The agreed version reads: Then a crier will call from Heaven: My servant has spoken the truth; so spread a bed for him from Paradise; clothe him from Paradise; and open a door for him into Paradise. So some of its air and perfume will come to him; and a space will be made for him as far as the eye can see. He also mentioned the death of the infidel; saying: His spirit will be restored to his body; two angels will come to him; make him sit up and ask him: Who is your Lord? He will reply: Alas; alas! I do not know. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: Alas; alas! I do not know. They will ask: Who was the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: Alas; alas! I do not know. Then a crier will call from Heaven: He has lied; so spread a bed for him from Hell; clothe him from Hell; and open for him a door into Hell. Then some of its heat and pestilential wind will come to him; and his grave will be compressed; so that his ribs will be crushed together. Jabir version adds: One who is blind and dumb will then be placed in charge of him; having a sledge-hammer such that if a mountain were struck with it; it would become dust. He will give him a blow with it which will be heard by everything between the east and the west except by men and jinn; and he will become dust.
