If ye doubt (their truth), detain them both after prayer, and let them both swear by Allah: "We wish not in this for any worldly gain, even though the (beneficiary) be our near relation: we shall hide not the evidence before Allah: if we do, then behold! the sin be upon us!"

If ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands. For Allah doth blot out sins and forgive again and again.

They are your garments and ye are their garments. Allah knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves; but He turned to you and forgave you; so now associate with them, and seek what Allah Hath ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are Limits (set by) Allah: Approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth Allah make clear His Signs to men: that they may learn self-restraint.

If Allah had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: Therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (Guarantees of) peace, then Allah Hath opened no way for you (to war against them).

For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.

Aisha; or some of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ said; But we dislike death. He said: It is not like this; but it is meant that when the time of the death of a believer approaches; he receives the good news of Allah pleasure with him and His blessings upon him; and so at that time nothing is dearer to him than what is in front of him. He therefore loves the meeting with Allah; and Allah too loves the meeting with him. But when the time of the death of a disbeliever approaches; he receives the evil news of Allah torment and His Requital; whereupon nothing is more hateful to him than what is before him. Therefore; he hates the meeting with Allah; and Allah too; hates the meeting with him. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-373		Narrated Saeed Bin Yasar: I was going to Mecca in the company of Abdullah Bin Umar and when I apprehended the approaching dawn; I dismounted and offered the witr prayer and then joined him. Abdullah Bin Umar said; Where have you been? I replied; I apprehended the approaching dawn so I dismounted and prayed the witr prayer. Abdullah said; Isnt it sufficient for you to follow the good example of Allah Messenger ﷺ ? I replied; Yes; by Allah. He said; Allah Messenger ﷺ used to pray witr on the back of the camel while on a journey. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6631		Narrated Ibn Abbas: Umar used to admit me into his house along with the old men who had fought in the Badr battle. Some of them said to Umar ; Why do you allow this young man to enter with us; while we have sons of his own age? Umar said; You know what person he is. One day Umar called them and called me along with them; I had thought he called me on that day to show them something about me i.e. my knowledge. Umar asked them; What do you say about the Sura : When comes the help of Allah and the Conquest of Mecca And you see mankind entering the Religion of Allah i.e. Islam in crowds. So celebrate the Praises Of your Lord and ask for His forgiveness; Truly; He is the One Who accepts repentance and forgives. 110.1-3 Some of them replied; We are ordered to praise Allah and repent to Him if we are helped and granted victory. Some said; We do not know. Others kept quiet. Umar then said to me; Do you say similarly? I said; No. Umar said What do you say then? I said; This Verse indicates the approaching of the death of Allah Messenger ﷺ of which Allah informed him. When comes the help of Allah and the Conquest; i.e. the Conquest of Mecca; that will be the sign of your Prophets approaching death; so testify the uniqueness of your Lord i.e. Allah and praise Him and repent to Him as He is ready to forgive. On that; Umar said; I do not know about it anything other than what you know. SahihMuslim-017-001-18018		It has been narrated by Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: One of the Prophets made a holy war. He said to his followers: One who has married a woman and wants to consummate to his marriage but has not yet done so; another who has built a house but has not yet erected its roof; and another who has bought goats and pregnantshe-camels and is waiting for their offspring-will not accommpany me. So he marched on and approached a village at or about the time of the Asr prayers. He said to the sun: Thou art subserviant to Allah and so am I. O Allah; stop it for me a little. It was stopped for him until Allah granted him victory. The people gathered the spoils of war at one place. A fire approached the spoils to devour them; but it did not devour them. He the Holy Prophet said: Some of you have been guilty of misappropriation. So one man from each tribe should swear fealty to me. The did so putting their hands into his. The hand of one man stuck to his hand and the Prophet ﷺ said: Your tribe is guilty of misappropriation. Let all the members of your tribe swear fealty to me one by one. They did so; when the hands of two or three persons got stuck with his hand. He said: You have misappropriated. So they took out gold equal in volume to the head of a cow. They-placed it among the spoils on the earth. Then the fire approached the spoils and devoured them. The spoils of war were not made lawful for any people before us; This is because Allah saw our weakness and humility and made them lawful for us. SahihMuslim-017-001-18097		It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Wail who said: Sahal Bin Hunaif stood up on the Day of Siffin and said: O ye people; blame yourselves for want of discretion ; we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Day of Hudaibiya. If we had thought it fit to fight; we could fight. This was in the truce between the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the polytheists. Umar Bin AlKhattab came; approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah; arent we fighting for truth and they for falsehood? He replied: By all means. He asked: Are not those killed from our side in Paradise and those killed. from their side in the Fire? He replied: Yes. He said: Then why should we put a blot upon our religion and return; while Allah has not decided the issue between them and ourselves? He said: Son of AlKhattab; I am the Messenger of Allah. Allah will never ruin me. The narrator said : Umar went away; but he could not contain himself with rage. So he approached Abu Bakr and said: Abu Bakr; arent we fighting for truth and they for falsehood? He replied: Yes. He asked: Arent those killed from our side in Paradise and those killed from their side in the Fire? He replied: Why not? He then said: Why should we then disgrace our religion and return while God has not yet decided the issue between them and ourselves? Abu Bakr said: Son of AlKhattab; verily; he is the Messenger of Allah; and Allah will never ruin him. The narrator continued : At this a Surat of the Quran giving glad tidings of the victory was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He sent for Umar and made him read it. At this ; a man from the tribe of Abdullah got furious. Then people from both sides got furious and exchanged blows with sticks; hands and shoes. The narrator says that after this scuffle we learnt that the Quranic verse : It two parties of the Believers have a quarrel; make ye peace between them xlix. 9 was revealed about these fighting parties. He said: The people are innocent of it; other than myself and Adi Bin Badda. We were Christians who used to frequent AlSham before Islam. They went to AlSham for their business; and they were approached by a freed slave of Banu Sahm; who was called Budail Bin Abi Maryam; with some trade. He had a bowl they wanted made of silver; but he wanted a great deal for it. Then he became ill; and willed it to them; and he commissioned them to deliver what was left to his family. Tamim said: When he died; we took that bowl and we sold it for one-thousand Dirham. Then Adi Bin Badda and I divided it. When we went to his family to give them what was with us; they searched for the bowl and asked about it. We said: He did not leave behind other than this; nor did he give us other than this. Tamim said: When I accepted Islam; after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had arrived in AlMadinah; I felt guilty about that; so I went to his family; and informed them about what had happened. I gave them fifty-thousand Dirham and told them my companion had the same. They took him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ but he asked them for their proof; which they did not have; so he ordered them; to have him to take an oath in accordance with whatever the people of his religion revered; so he took the oath. Then Allah revealed: O you who believe! When death approaches any of you then take the testimony... up to His saying: Or else they would fear that oaths will be admitted after their oaths 5:106. So Amr Bin AlAs and another man stood to take an oath; and the fifty-thousand Dirham was taken from Adi Bin Badda. Then the clouds cleared and he saw that it was still night; so he made his prayers even with one raka. Then he continued to pray two rakas at a time; until when he feared the approach of dawn; he prayed one raka for witr.
